MP3 Bit-Rate

Bit-rate refers to the average amount of data which is used by one second of audio. Bit-rate is measured by kilobits (1000 bits/sec). Most people use an MP3 with 128 kilobits per second, which is the benchmark for a good quality playback; the audio is very similar to radio quality. A general rule to follow is the higher the bit-rate, the better the sound.
