If you want an factually depiction of the Cheyenne people this is the perfect movie!!

Author's Review
I debated about writing this because my son is related to Eugene Black Bear, plays the chief in Last of the Dogmen. This is such a great movie that I just have to tell people about it.

This movie is about a bounty hunter, Lewis Gates, that tracks three escape inmates into The Oxbow when he stumbled upon evidence of Indians. He takes the evidence to an anthropologist, Lillian Gates. She says that it is a Cheyenne Dog Soldier arrow. With this arrow, it peaks their interest in the possibility of Cheyenne in The Oxbow.

They decide to go into The Oxbow in search of them. Once they find them, the Cheyenne take the captive and take them back to the Cheyenne camp. The Cheyenne were willing to absorb them into the tribe when Lewis Gates has to sneak back to town to get an antibiotic for a Cheyenne that had been shot. When Lewis tries to return, the Sheriff follows. It then comes down to a decision of whether to expose the hidden Cheyenne camp or see his entire dream disappear by protecting them from discovery.

The Cheyenne language spoken in the movie is the actual language. I know because it is spoken in my house.

Everyone who worked on this movie did a wonderful job. If you have not seen it, you must! Word to the wise: Before you start the movie, go to the bathroom, get any snacks, and an extra large drink because once it starts, you do not want to be interrupt or miss a single part.
