The Sequoia is introduced as a new full-size sport utility model and is a new addition to the existing Toyota SUV line-up. Based on the Tundra, the Sequoia is equipped with the same i-Force V-8 engine that powers the Land Cruiser and Tundra. Trim lines are designated as SR5 and Limited models, both available in 2WD and 4WD. Unique standard features include Vehicle Skid Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRAC). VSC is a system designed to help maintain cornering stability in situations where the vehicle is about to lose traction and skid sideways. TRAC is a traction control system that operates in both 2WD and 4WD. Other standard features include Automatic Climate Control, 3-in-1 cassette and CD stereo, and an automatic transmission.

Toyota Sequoia: big trouble for Detroit
Pros: Passenger and cargo room, utility, refinement, very well thought-out Cons: Slightly underpowered engine, poor fuel economy (duh) Bottom Line: Toyota Sequoia, We Love It!
Pros: Toyota reliability, Space, Comfort, Power, Appointments, Off Road Performance, Value (even at 50K) and Confidence. Cons: Nothing really ( after 2,000 mi.) We love it Bottom Line: State-of-the-art Toyota Engineering in 2001 Sequoia
Pros: Relatively inexpensive for a full-size SUV Cons: No good gas mileage; Diminished rear visibility Bottom Line: Great SUV w/ a few drawbacks
Pros: Quality and Comfort Cons: Gas mileage, limited rear visibility Bottom Line: 2001 TOYOTA SEQUOIA
Pros: Cream de la Cream of SUV's. Cons: There are none Bottom Line: Unbeatable Vehicle
Pros: Excellent Build quality, safety features, handling, ride quality, sound level, power, handling etc etc Cons: None I can think of Bottom Line: 2001 Sequoia
Pros: Great truck. Toyota quality throughout Cons: Gas mileage is low (but not as low as expected) Getting 15.4 city Bottom Line: 10K Mile update on my Sequoia
Pros: ULEV rating, Decent gas mileage for a large SUV, Comfortable, Reliable Cons: Rear and side vision is less than desirable. The single CD system is weak. Bottom Line: Toyota Sequoia
Pros: Japanese, SUV, runs smoothly Cons: Too expensive Bottom Line: If the style matched the handling, it'd look like a sports car
Pros: Impressive acceleration for an SUV, nice handling, and excellent stability. Cons: Boxy styling, and the wind resistance is very low at high interstate speeds. Bottom Line: |
