GOEMON'S GREAT ADVENTURE is the second game featuring Goemon to hit the Nintendo 64. This time, the characters are in 2D, though the backgrounds are 3D polygonal renders. This results in a unique view, featuring pseudo-3D gameplay, without the frustrating issues that bad camera angles can cause. The story involves the evil Bisumaru, who has taken control of a machine that summons ghosts. The four heroes, Goemon, Yae, Sasuke, and Ebisumaru must fight through many levels to stop her. Gameplay consists of mostly running and jumping to different platforms, but it also involves solving puzzles that use each character's abilities in a different way. The game features music and graphics that perfectly represent what is being conveyed, resulting in a fun experience. GOEMON'S GREAT ADVENTURE is unlike any other title on the Nintendo 64, combining elements of classic 16-bit titles with the flash and flair of other console offerings.

The Mystical Ninja Returns (Tribute To The N64 WRITE-OFF)
Pros: Great Graphics, Good Control, Wacky Story... Cons: Small Graphical Glitches, Some Levels Are VERY Difficult... Bottom Line: Co-op and Adventuring at its Best on the 64
Pros: Original Side-Scrolling action mixed with Huge Robot Battles. Cons: A bit difficult with 2players but fun all the same. Bottom Line: Truely, a Great Adventure
Pros: Amazing graphics, nice music, pretty good translation, great level and character design; brightly coloured, extreme variety, a side scroller on N64 that actually comes off well. Cons: A plot so shallow that if it were a puddle, you wouldn't even get your feet wet. Some obnoxious bugs. Buy the game. Go.
