Pros: Has capabilities of video, pictures, music, and some games with a fair amount of memory.

Cons: For video, only mpeg videos work, so you need a video convertor.

The Bottom Line: 
Get the ipod video/classic or the iPod touch if you have more money.

I have bought this about 1 year ago. You can watch videos, watch movies, see pictures, and definitely put and listen to hundreds of songs. I have got about 10 tv episodes(about 30 minutes each), 1 movie(1hour half), and like about 80 songs ( 2-4 minutes each). If you like watching tv shows,movies outside I'd recommend you to get it. But I hate the part that on their itunes program their prices of movies are so expensive like real ones. Also itunes is required for the program to work, but is not very good. It manages music, videos, pictures, games, etc. on your iPod but not good managing. Like it makes all music on alphabetic order and you cannot change it if you want. But I like that you get alot of memory in it. If you think about 30 GB and you use it for like half music and half videos, I would think you could get like 500 songs and 30-50 tv episode(30 min) each. Their is no difference in color of the black or white iPods. I would recommend you to get the iPod video/classic instead of an iPod nano. Because it has more capabilities and way more memory. If you only listen to music get the ipod nano or ipod shuffle. (Nano recommended in this case) So my most recommendation is to get the iPod video/classic, but have more money than to get the iPod touch becuase it has the internet capabilitey function with that you can watch youtube on it with little or no lag.
