I ordered a Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 on Black Friday, which was advertised as in stock $30 cheaper than on Amazon. My card was immediately charged, but the item never shipped. I few weeks later I got a message from Abt that the item was backordered, but would be shipped shortly. I was surprised, but ready to wait. Another few weeks later, I got another E-Mail informing me that the player is discontinued and will no longer be shipped. Instead, I was offered the Samsung Tablet 7 for $30 more. Conveniently, this was 3 days before Xmas. After checking online, I discovered that the player had already been discontinued for months. It is still in stock at Amazon, but the price has by now increased $60.

Abt either does not know anything about the items they sell, or they deliberately misled me into buying an item I would never receive. Either way I can only warn against buying from this store, especially if you are buying a present and/or have to receive the shipment on time. I saw that I'm not the only reviewer who experienced this issue.

I bought a stackable Bosch washer and dryer a few months ago.  so far, three of the washers have quit the spin cycle after the third use & I have returned two.  No one seems to be looking into what the problem is or offering a solution at the store.  I have spent a lot of money at Abt in the last year by purchasing all new appliances, I would think someone would be interested in helping me, so far I have talked with customer service, who referred me to sales.  This has taken a lot of my time, besides the cost of having to go to the laundramat.  I can't believe that Abt is not looking into this & no one seems concerned.  Living in a condo it is very inconvenient to schedule deliveries, as arrangements must be made to pad the elevator & I must make sure I am available. I have never had a problem with Abt before, and I have purchased from them for many many years but now,  I need some help soon!  This cannot continue. I don't understand why no one at Abt shows any concern after two months of problems.  How do I get some action?

I was extremely pleased with my experience shopping with abt electronics.  I purchased a Gladiator GARF19 refrigerator after finding out their price was lower than everyone else.  Once the order was placed, I received a call for a scheduled delivery the next day.  Five days later, an excellent delivery crew associated with Whirlpool unpacked and installed my new fridge. 
Only a week later, abt lowered their price even more on the same item.  After a short discussion with abt, they refunded me the difference which many online retails would never do.  I was concerned with purchasing a large appliance through an online retailer, but after this excellent and low cost experience, I will buy all my appliances through abt.  You simply can't beat their prices and their customer service.

I cancelled an order with another store because they were going to push delivery back two weeks.  I needed the appliances before then because I was having my kitchen redone.  I ordered from ABT because the site said that my products were available for delivery in 4 to 10 business days.  I actually paid a little more than at the other store but considered it worth it to have the appliances here on time.  A week after ordering, however, I was giving an estimated delivery date that was a full 21 days after the website promised, and a full WEEK after the first store was going to deliver.  I am completely disappointed in the false advertising on the website and will not order from here again.

Awful customer service.

They are helpful to purchase an item but dont much about the products other than what is listed on the website.

Once you receive the item you are on your own.   Our Fridge was delivered but the delivery people didnt feel it necessary to remove the film saying it should warm up first and they didnt want to wait. Actually they were just lazy. 

A washer needed repairs and they said that after a year it was not under warranty so it would be cheaper to buy a new one. 
NOT SO!! It was still under warranty for parts.  We went directly to GE and they handled it. 

If you place a negative blog about the service ABT will file a response offering all sorts of excuses.  However, they never resolve the problems.    

We did receive a call after posting the original blog indicating that they were sorry. The caller was rushed and it was abvious that he just wanted to be able to say he called.

I've shopped at Abt a couple of times and had a fairly good experience.  A lot of times it takes a while to get an associate to help you, but once you do, they can make things happen for you.  I've also been able to negotiate prices in the past.  HOWEVER, the last time I went there I found out that I was on a DO NOT SELL list because I had returned too many items.  We bought several digital cameras last year and returned them because the quality was terrible (not Abt's fault...you get what you pay for).  There was nothing they would do to keep a customer.  So whatever you do, make sure you are going to keep what you buy or you'll end up on a blacklist.  Or, you can go to Sears and they will price match Abt's online price.  I got a $569 microwave for Abt's price of $420.

We've  been Abt customers for 20+ years and have been quite pleased with their products, prices and service. Their customer service people are top notch, very understanding and fair.

I ordered a Whirlpool undercounter icemaker from ABT.  This was my first order from them.  Their people were courteous, the shipment arrived on schedule, undamaged, and my credit card was charged the exact price as agreed.

I will certainly buy from them again.

Called Friday morning about non-functioning Sub-Zero fridge.  Couldn't send a tech on Fri or Sat - Monday afternoon was the soonest.  Tech diagnosed the problem over the phone, brought the replacement part (under warranty from Sub-Zero) and installed it in less than 30 minutes.  My bill says, start:11:45, Finish: 12:25.  The charge for 40 minutes labor was a staggering $600.  That works out to $900 an hour for labor.  Tried to get an explanation from ABT & was "disconnected."   They have my name & number but have not returned the call.

Any question as to how they are paying for that fancy new building ?

I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!! They sold me a used unit stating it was new.  I purchased an Alpine IVA-W205 head unit from ABT and they sent me one that was obviously installed and deinstalled.  To top things off, the unit did not work properly!  It would not accept a disk to play music.  So they sent me a used unit and it did not work!  I had to spend $40 to send to Alpine to get it repaired.  Shame on me for not installing for 4 months after I purchased but I did not have the time.  But regardless of when I installed it, it should have worked.

It always nice to come home after a long day at work and pop in a dvd. I haven't had my hddvd player that long, it has however been working overtime since school started. I am not a picky person when it comes to electronics, if it has the features I am looking for and is reasonably priced I purchase it. It goes very nice with my TV and since my TV is HD as well, picture quality is perfect I could not ask for better player. I had done some comparision shopping and contacted sales. The next thing I knew is that I had made my purchase and I was taking my dvd player home. I will always continue to shop at Abt.

I am not too familiar with iPods or any mp3 as a matter of fact. My niece has been bugging me for one since last Christmas! Well, her birthday is coming up and I decided to purchase one for her. I called the Customer Service department who kindly transferred me to Sales. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. They took their time explaining the amount of songs and the usage of the actual thing. Which was great considering my niece is 10! I ended up with one of those nano's that are cute and youthful looking at a great price agreeing that this would be the best one for her. I will be shopping for my husband's birthday in a couple of months as well. They have nice "manly" gadgets that my husband would enjoy. I would definitely shop at Abt again as long as the great prices and great customer service keep coming!

Great service even after my big purchase. I had purchased by refrigerator at Abt, a little over a year ago and I needed to replace my water filter. I had no clue where to start! I did not realize there was so many fitlers out there. I called their toll free number and I spoke to a real, helpful sales representative. I told him I wasn't sure of the model number or where to begin I was at work but in need of my filter asap. He said no problem, he would be able to look up my previous purchase and make sure we order the right one. I had the unit shipped to my home and got it the next day. Now that's Service! The purchase wasn't a big ticket item but he took his time and looked up the info, wasn't rushed or rushed me off the phone. I'm big on customer service, I hate when I call stores and people on the other end sound like your bothering them or try to rush you off the phone. I will definitely be back!

Ordered from them once, no problems. Tried to place another order, logged in to my account, wouldn't accept my shipping address after having no problems the first time. My address is not standard UPS, but usually I can confirm my address and move on with checkout. I receive UPS deliveries all the time. Did a live chat with a CSM, she told me to call in my order. If you want to have web ordering, have web ordering! I can't speak so how am I supposed to call? Won't order from this place again.

This is by far my best online shopping experience ever! I placed my order around 2:30 p.m. on 1/29/08. The item had already gone into shipping mode about 30 minutes later. I got an email with UPS tracking info, which I really didn't need to use because I received my brand new MP3 player by 3:30 p.m. on 1/31/08! Their prices cannot be beat. I was searching for a Sony 8gb mp3 player. Check it out - it was $142 - no tax, no shipping charges! WHAT??? Every other site is selling this same player for $158-$200. I had purchased the Sony 4gb at another retailer for $129 (which I promptly returned). So I got double the gb on a name brand item like Sony (and no this is not a refurbished item) for $13 more. This place is so freaking amazing, I'm telling all my friends. And to top it all off, I got to speak to someone in the USA for customer service! Try it, you will not be disappointed

I recently ordered an microwave oven from Abt. The packaging came slightly damaged although the product was wrapped extremely well. They immediately processed the complaint, instructed me on how to return it and will send out a replacement immediately. Their customer service was courteous and very helpful. This is the first time that I have used this company and would highly recommend them to anyone.

BUY YOUR CAMERA SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!

I Bought a Sony DSC-W55P camera from Abt Electronics on September 16th, 2007. In exactly 33 days, the flash failed with an error code. I called Abt, and lo and behold, they told me "gee, sorry sir- it's out of our return policy! But you can send it to Sony under warranty!" I couldn't believe this- a $200 bum camera and they treated me, a new customer like this. Sony's had it for a month now, and I've heard nothing. Just buy from a reputable place like B+H. Abt is a sneaky, joint- avoid 'em guys.
