HORRIBLE customer service!!! I ordered an item for my wife's birthday. It didn't arrive. So I check my email again... maybe I missed something. Nothing. I use the order number to check their site. It says my order was canceled. No notification, nothing. They just canceled the order. No reason was even given.
I call customer service. After 27 minutes on hold I get a guy who tells me "we just didn't have many of those." I ask why I wasn't informed days ago. "There may be a problem," he says.
After being on hold for another 15 minutes a "product specialist" says, "there's basically nothing we can do at this point." He offers to waive standard shipping charges, but says it won't arrive for days anyway.
By the numbers:

45 minutes on the phone
2 unhelpful customer service reps
0 times I'll ever shop at Tiger Direct again, ever.

I ordered a TV on November 21, 2012.  I received one email telling me the TV was back-ordered.  I never heard anything after that so I contacted them today by phone.  I was told that my order HAD been cancelled, as in ALREADY CANCELLED because they are not able to fill the order.  Aparently they had no intention of letting me know!  This WAS going to be a Christmas present.  I will NOT be ordering from TigerDirect AGAIN!

Ordered a gift on Dec 7 for my son for Christmas. Order confirmation said should ship in 48 hours and arrive within 4-9 business days. On Dec 18, I checked the order status. Had not even shipped yet! Called customer service for explanation. They said they had passed off to a third party for fulfillment. Not only had not shipped, but was on backorder and wouldn't be in until first week of January. Tiger never contacted me about the delay and they tried to push blame on the 3rd party.
Will never, under any circumstances order from here again.

Worst experience buying electronics online over last 20 years. Bought an Epson 3010 projector online on black friday. It's been a month and my projector is nowhere to be found. For 10 days Tigerdirect did not bother to tell me that my order is delayed. I saw a small hope when one of the Inbount sales rep emailed me saying that product is backordered and they can help with replacement. Since then i have called 10 times and have written emails to the Rep but no luck. I know tigerdirect sold several more of these projectors after my purchase. Completely ridiculous service. They don't seem to care. They completely messed up my christmas. I could have bought the project from other reputed merchants at that time but now prices have gone up everywhere (Black Friday is gone). I have now made up my mind to write a review at every possible place about tigerdirect. Everyone should think twenty times before making more purchases from this place.

I ordered an HDMI cable about a month ago.  After 10 days it had not arrived.  The online support was not helpful so I called customer service.  After waiting about 30 minutes on the line an agent answered the call and told me that my order had been misplaced.  She replaced the order and said she was giving me expedited shipping because of the delay.  After waiting another 10 days or so I called TigerDirect today.  Again I had an extended wait on hold.  Finally an agent answered and when I gave her my order number she said only in gruff manner that it was shipped today.  I hope without confidence that she is right.

Very poor service and dishonest on their ads.  I purchased a 7inch tablet.  The thing is dog slow and it won't take the apps that I need.  I called the same day it came to have it returned.  The rep tells me this item is listed as a "No return" item.  I looked over the whole Tiger Direct page where I bought the thing and didn't see this disclaimer.  I went on to tell him this is not what I needed.  It does not take the apps for my business and it is very slow on the internet.  He didn't care and wouldn't even let me exchange it for a store credit.  Now I am stuck with an item I can't use.  Stay away!!!   There was no dealing with these people and the rep. seemed to care less about the issue.

I ordered a desktop thinking it was a good deal and since I am going on a business trip for 2.5 weeks while my kids start their school, I wanted to set up the system before I leave   I paid extra for 2nd day shipping to ensure it arrives before my trip.

UPS driver delivered to the address at 8:35 PM!!!  When nobody was there - or may be he was at the wrong place, the driver returned the item to Tiger Direct stating that it was refused!!  I DID NOT refuse.  The UPS guy didn't even bother calling me to confirm.  What the **?#@@!

The next day, I called Tiger Direct and after 30 minutes of "negotiations", the rep said she put in a order to send it out today, and asked me to check back by end of the day.  When I checked back, they said the item has not been shipped and in fact won't be shipped until 3 - 4 days later!!  I felt tricked and lied to.

This has been the worst experience I had with shopping online.  I will never buy anything from Tiger Direct anymore regardless of the deal.  I cancelled the order.

They call you to make all the excuses to delay the shipping. My excuse was requesting credit card information one more time for their security reason, of which I never have experienced such an absurd request, and it can be illegal to ask billing info after the transaction. They finally negotiated the order cancellation with me but still charged my account $800, which have been staying in my account for weeks and now I have to pay the credit balance... Their Bizrate ranking also seems to be a scam. here only three stars but bizrate shows five star rating.It won't even allow me to do the rating. DO NOT TRUST THIS SELLER.

Placed an order for a computer.  Submitted payment via Paypal using direct payment from my checking account.  Tigerdirect refused to process the order unless I provided a credit card number and the last four digits of my social security number.  

The whole point of Paypal is to keep my account information private.  The shipping and billing address with Tigerdirect was the same as my confirmed account with Paypal.  

I refused to provide my credit card or SS#.  The order was cancelled.

Run.  Do not purchase from Tigerdirect.

I got a phone package from Tiger and was quoted a price of $91a month. I bought the package and  I find out now that I was lied to and the cost is $120. plus tax & fees a month.  Will not ever deal with Tiger again, they are dishonest. The sales lady kept trying to push more product on me when I told her what I wanted and what I wanted to pay.  Customer service said they could not do anything about it.  BEWARE

Be very skeptical when using this company, they randomly call you requesting "verification" information from you.  Trying to collect personal details that have nothing to do with your order probably to sell to other companies.  Please be aware of what information you are giving and why they are asking you to give it.  Think about the questions before you answer, I have used other companies like them before and never had to answer a personal questionare in order to get my products I have already paid in full.

Bought an asus motherboard and received an open box with several pieces missing. Neither ASUS or Tiger Direct would take responsibility for the missing pieces, so I bought the missing IO plate from ASUS. Tiger Direct refused to RMA the motherboard.

When I fired up the motherboard I found that it would work on XP but would not work on X64 because of damage to the memory controller. Basically I was left holding the bag for a $250 dollar motherboard.

When you place an online order with this company using your credit card that you've had in good standing for years, Tiger Direct assumes you are a thief and begins a vetting process in which you must prove that you are not a thief. I used to buy from this company and so I was a previous customer of theirs and yet still the multiple calls to verify my identity. Just forget Tiger Direct and buy from Amazon. Long before TD will even get started on their ridiculous security checks you will have your product in hand from Amazon. Tiger Direct ruined my sons birthday. I ordered a laptop 3 weeks ahead and like 8 days after I ordered they started calling (with an attitude) wanting me to verify my identity. After another two weeks of delays and complaints I placed an order for the same product from Amazon and Bam! had it in hand in 4 days.

This company is unreliable and incompetent.
I needed a camera for a June 5th trip. I placed my order on  their online website on May 10th for a: BRAND NEW Canon PowerShot SX230 HS 12MP 14x Zoom Blue Digital Camera …they sent me a USED camera (LCD on camera had no protector and visible fingerprint, the box had ink stains, and had been clearly opened several times). I sent it back. 
Today, May 21st, they are saying the camera is backordered and will be available sometime in June. I wasted my time with this company…with endless hours on the phone and computer talking to several people who don't seem to know what's going on. Ugh!!!

TigerDirect is a joke!!!! Spend your money elsewhere! They sold my email address as I am getting spam and more crap from people I dont want to have it! Its been 4 days since I placed my order and my order still has NOT been shipped out yet! I got an email a few days after I placed my order stating my credit card had problems (thing is they already authorized my credit card for the full amount) and I had to call their customer service number in order for them to process my card. What a JOKE!!! DO NOT buy from these guys! HORRIBLE customer service, HORRIBLE company!!!!

Do your research before purchasing from Tiger Direct.  Chances are you'll get much faster shipping.  Nearly two weeks ago I ordered a television from them.  Their site advertised Free Shipping that day.  It also recommended that I bundle a wall mount bracket.  I did.  That's when the "free shipping" went away.  Next, they stated that a truck would deliver my TV and it would take 3-9 business days to deliver.  Tiger Direct's warehouse is in the next state over and only 300 miles or so from me.  Today is the ninth day since I ordered the TV and I haven't heard anything from the shipper or Tiger Direct.  I have emailed them and have gotten no reply.  Thursday will oficially be the 9th business day.  We'll see if it shows.  I'd hate to live on the West Coast...  if it takes 9 days to ship next door, how long would it take to get there?

I bought a Led TV from TigerDirect on line. I paid for it with Paypal on Feb 3. They never sent the TV because is out of stock. Now, Feb 29, I cannot get my money back.

Horrible experience every step of the way. Purchased a TV, took 12 days to get it with no way to track it. Then it turns out it was a wrong TV that is cheaper. I called them and told that my TV was more expensive than what I had intended to purchase. A big fat lie. Referred them to their own web site and lists $250 less. When I wanted to return they told me to open the box to confirm it was not broken. The box was such that once opened hard to put back together. Was emailing me consistently to instruct but once opened they never got back with me. I will be reporting them to BBB. On top of all that, rude, argumentative, misleading. One of the worst experience ever. Possibly the worst. Would never buy from them. Period.

I placed an order for a scanner with a gift certificate using 2nd day air since I needed it quickly. Tiger Direct sent me an email on the day I was supposed to receive the scanner saying that they made a mistake and did not fulfill the order. A day or so later I received an email stating that they were mailing the scanner to my billing address (where no one was available to receive the order) and not to my shipping address as requested. They also shipped using regular mail, not 2nd day air!! I called and complained so they reshipped the item using expedited shipping to my shipping address. Luckily, I just received the scanner in time. Two weeks later I received a bill for the scanner, even though I used a gift certificate. I telephoned customer service and they said that my gift certificate was rejected. Tiger Direct did not do one thing right on this order. It has been a complete nightmare and I will never ever order from Tiger Direct again.

This company ripped me off to the tune of $899.00 though fraus & misrepresentation. Do not buy anything from this company. They presently are being investegated by several state and federal agencies
for misrepresentation of the product they sell and guaranty.
In my opion a bunch of crooks.
