I ordered a video card from them. They used a cheap method of shipping, UPS to USPS. This apparently doesnt work when your Post Office isnt in the same town as the UPS office. They charged me $7 for this, are they really saving a lot of money?

The card was sent back to them via the PO. I asked for a replacement card to be sent to me, I was told I had to wait until it came back to them. They had the same tracking info I had, they had my credit card, every other company would have sent another card. I had to ASK for shipping to be refunded.

Two weeks go by, and they still didnt have the card so I ask for a refund, only to be told that will take 5-7 days.

So 7 days later, I dont have a card and I dont have my money back.

I placed an order for Sony MDR 7506 headphones on a Monday. At 4:00pm Friday, 4 days later, it still hasn't shipped. I call to find out what's going on, and I learn that the product is out of stock and won't be in stock for another MONTH. No word of this on the website nor in the order confirmation email I received.

Do not shop here! False advertising, just read the previous reviews about it's customer service, it explains it all.  I'm never going to shopping here again.

Then Shop here!!! That;s about the only reliable thing you will get from J&R. I bought a Denon receiver among other things. The unit never shipped  (advertised as same day shipping) Until I called 3 times and gave them a bad review prompting a call. When I got the unit it was defective. They gave me one and only one option. The one that suited them best. return it and we'll take 2 weeks to process everything. No offer to speed anything up, not even the emailing os a shipping label. Everyone apologizes, but no one listens, If you look at other reveiews, their Customer Service strategy is offering you $10-$15 credits. We don't want credits J&R, Customers want good service and if they need to depend on you as an authorixed dealer of Denon products, they expect options that are reasonable. Don't waste your money here, Buy from Amazon or anywhere else for that matter. After 2 weeks, I met the entire staff there I think. No one has any idea or desire to find a solution. Why would they when they can give you the companies money....$15 at a time!

I have Ordered a laptop that was in stock on their web site. 27/8
One week later, I have called J&R "service" to find out
that the laptop is not in stock and will never be....

Will not buy from J&R. They simply cheated and had me waiting a week for nothing!!!

TERRIBLE! They sell junk! I bought a drum unit and it left terrible marks on my paper. I ordered a new toner, thinking it could be a toner, still left marks.

printer says that i need to replace this new drum! Tried to contact the seller and they said "too bad, you waited too long." Very TERRIBLE customer service. They sell junk they don't stand behind!

It wasn't for several days until after I placed my order that I received notification that the merchandise was on backorder.  I would have liked to have known much sooner. I saved some money by shopping here but it wasn't worth the expense of the delay or service.

I recently purchased a WIFI radio from J&R Music and Computer store.  I have to say that both my customer service and satisfaction was awesome.  Not only did I receive the perfect brand new item within 2 days, but I had all of this excellent service with free shipping.  I would always recomend this store.

I ordered a Toshiba 32C100U 32'' HDTV, which had an average price of $369 on-line.  J&R was selling it for $349 and I had a $10 off coupon code, bringing the total cost to $339 w/ free shipping. 

Six days after ordering I noticed the price dropped to $309.99.  I gave them a call at the number that specifically handles price matching and J&R was nice enough to give me a $30 gift card AFTER I had received the TV at my home.  I don't know that many companies would be willing to do this.  In my book, it's good business and I can't give them enough praise for how they handled it.  The customer service was great.

The HDTV was packed nicely, came before estimated delivery, my only complaint would be that it didn't have a copy of the receipt in the box.  I only had my print out.

When looking for music and/or computer related hardware, J&R has an extensive product line-up and always seems to have what I need, After the order is placed, J&R provides excellent communications on order status and lets me know when I can expect to receive my order. Without exception, my orders have have arrived exactly as described, in excellent condition and on time. I can only assume that there Customer Service is as excellent as he rest of their operation, but I wouldn't know because I haven't had a reason to call.

In no way would I ever recommend J&R Electronics.  Not only did it take 6 weeks to correct my order (a new phone) being shipped to the wrong address, they kept insisting that it would be arriving shortly after each call I made to them.  Adding insult to injury, when I asked for compensation for having to continue to use my old broken phone for an additional 6 weeks, with the resulting stress and struggle of having to work harder at maintaining important communication with business partners and friends in different parts of the world, they offered me only $25, as if this was all my time and my work were worth.   Overall I found them vaguely dishonest with me, totally unwilling to hear what their policies have cost me, and not willing to compensate adequately when their customer suffers in doing business with them.  Since they falsely claim that customer satisfaction is important to them, I wonder what else in their business they are not honest about.  I strongly recommend to everyone, and will be telling my family, friends, business associates and whomever I meet, never to do business with J&R Electronics!

Perfect!  The order, # 104234717, was not what I needed (my fault completely) but the Customer Service representative at JR that helped me was awesome.  She was extremely helpfull and friendly.  She handled my problem quickly and I couldn't be happier with this transacation.  I LOVE this place!

As always ordering from J&R online was easy.  I called to place my order and the customer service was great.  They were helpful, polite and courteous.  The comparison options on the website were simple and straightforward and thus very helpful in determining which product was right for me.  Delivery was fast (and free!).

terrible. five hundred dollar bass speaker cabinet came with speakers that wouldn't play. customer service was awful and wouldn't help. went thru mfr warranty service repair!!!

First time shopping with J&R but they had some good reviews so I gave them a shot. Their price on the printer I purchased beat all others and the order process was easy. The shipping date and anticipated arrival was accurate (the tracking was easy as well). This was a great experience and I would repeat.

Very poor customer service. I bought a Rhapsody Ibiza MP3 player. It took 1 week to get it. Unfortunatly the headphone jack was damaged and I had to return it. Took 3 weeks to get the return. This is entirely to long. It took a week to get there, OK. After they got the return it took another week to process it and ship my new one. This is entirely to long. I have been doing buisness with other companies and they only take 1 day to process the return and ship it out. Some have even shipped it as soon as I call for a return then credit my credit card when they get the old one back.

J&R was helpful and efficient. However the SONY CD player I bought was less so. It was a flimsy unit that lacked remote controls of the unit's power. the buttons were obscure so that people with normal vision were reduced to searching for the controls on the unit. With the third or fourth use of this SONY Player the disc compartment jammed with my CD disc inside. There was no mechanism available to release the compartment and retrieve my disc. J&R was willing to accept the defective CD Player and offered to have someone in the Returns Dept. open the nit and return my jammed disc inside. I hope they are successful and I am awaiting the return of both the disc and a new replacement unit.

The deliveries were received on time and as scheduled according to the tracking link provided via email. The items were well-packed and undamaged, a very important factor for me since some of them were kind of sensitive electronics and optical (photographic) accessories. I will add that some of them were also very specialized, and which I was unable to find locally. No, I do not live in the middle of nowhere ... This is Las Vegas, Baby!
Accuracy of deliveries were just impeccable. The description(s) on website matches perfectly with items received.
Regarding Customer Service, there was not any need for personal contact, so far ... so, I dunno. I will presume that it follows the same quality level of the rest of their services.
Prices are overall competitive, and emails with special offers can add to savings. For everything I purchased, I had'em compared with at least ten other competitors.
The website is highly professionally designed and set. Excellent navigation, database search, and so on. Of course, checkout is secured. I have personally VERIFIED their certificates.

     I recently purchased a LAMY Ballpoint Pen, SAFARI model, shiny red from JR. The pen has a simple, unassuming design with a comfortable grip and a unique pocket clip that reminds one of a paper clip.     JR's price was surprisingly low. The pen is the second of this style I've purchased. I was sort of surprised that JR carried it!     LAMY has an unusual line of ballpoints, pencils and ink pens. One, in particular, is the LAMY 2000 series. On first look the design might not appear unusual but upon examination you'll see the subtleties that makes this model stand out. LAMY has been producing it since the middle '60s and is now making it with different materials and colors. The original (with fiber glass, I think) is still the classic.     JR's price, service and follow up (I was offered a discount if I purchased another item relative to this purchase) has made the company a pleasure to do business with. I'm sorry JR doesn't have the 2000 series in its inventory.

J&R is my favorite store, they have a vast inventory of "In Stock" items. Great prices with really fast delivery. But what really counts is J&R's excellent customer service. I'm a repeat customer, never a hassel with them.
