I ordered asics shoes on sale online.  Delivery was fast.  However, one of the shoes (the one WITHOUT the original asics decal tags) appeared worn, the shoelace was dirty and the logo on the tongue has a huge slash going through the "A" of the asics.  I know these shoes are on sale for a reason, but to sell a shoe as new that was most likely worn?  I really despise these  packers/employees who think just because an item is on sale or clearance, or the customer uses a coupon, that they feel justified in giving someone a defective or less than par item.  Are you doing anyone a favor by hurting your employer's reputation?  Since sport chalet has a good return policy, all these workers are doing is jeopardizing their company by having customers return faulty merchandise that will either end up sitting in their inventory again AND having their employer pay for RMA shipping.  It's no wonder Sport Chalet is losing much of their business to Sports Authority, which is where I will be shopping from now on.

I found a good deal on a pair of running shoes on their web site (Brooks, which are usually not heavily discounted.)  I was a little hesitant because of the older, negative reviews.  I'm glad I took a chance.  An email to check the order status was answered promptly, and the items shipped quick and arived well-packaged.  It took about a week to arrive from their warehouse in CA to me in NC.  The shoes were exactly what I expected, and there were no negative surprises.  I would not hesitate to order from them again.

I placed an order 1 month in advance of the Christmas holiday. Sports Chalet cancelled the order and when I discovered this I emailed them with additional information to reactivate the process. They never got back to me and when I called a week later they basically told me I was 'sh*t out of luck' - three days before Christmas! TERRIBLE!

I was looking for the Vibram five fingers shoes, and entered the search on Google shopping. Sport Chalet was advertising these shoes for $20, while you can't find them for under $80 anywhere else. Of course when you go to Sport Chalet's website it simply says "This item not available". How do they get away with this kind of false advertising? I think this is what they refer to as "Bait and Switch" tactics and is pretty shady for a company trying to pass as legitimate.

When you see the item in Google shopping and it states a price, you would assume that they would actually be selling the item for the price advertised.

To sum up sportschalet.com...they suck!

I purchased a treadmill from them. The following are what makes them sucky.

1. Even though the treadmill included the "silver service" inside delivery, the driver refused to bring it inside. He said it was too heavy.

2. There was was large dent in the metal heart rate pads.

3. I purchased the extended warranty. What I received was a single sheet of paper that looked like it been copied 100 times. It was completely unreadable. I was able to make out some kind of serial number. Looks like they are running a scam by copying warranties but only paying for one from their vendor. I believe this is illegal.

3. When I called the support number on the treadmill invoice, which had the sports chalet logo, I reached fogdog.com. Fogdog said they have nothing to do with Sports Chalet. They can't even get their own phone number right.

All in all a very disappointing experience.

Sports Chalet is all about taking care if its customers. The website is run by another company that just pays to use Sport Chalets name. So all the items that are online are not all sold at Sport Chalet. It is a pleasure to shop at Sports Chalet and they have great customer service. They have very helpful people who work at their stores are expanding outward from Southern California. They have a store in Sacramento and Antioch California. There is a store in Henderson and Las Vegas, Nevada and a few more opening in Northern California this year. They have stores all over southern California. To find the store nearest you go online to www.sportchalet.com and go to the help section and click on the retail store locator. Sports Chalet sell tons of stuff like snow boards, skis, back packs, shoes, fishing gear. It is very easy to use the Sport Chalet website. I bought a pair of shoes off of it. The shoes arrived on time and were exactly what I was expecting to get. They have 24 hour customer support number 1-888-801-9162. The checkout is secure and you do not have to worry about credit theft.

Ordered a Taylor Made Golf bag here. The price was the best around, the web site was very user friendly, the order and the shipping were both confirmed by email and the bag arrived unbelievably fast. I was very satisfied with all aspects of the transaction, and this will be my first stop on the web whenever I'm shopping for sporting goods.
