I purchased an expensive  Bosch dishwasher at Lowes and in no time the circuit board broke. Lowes told me it's not their problem to call Bosch they didn't build it. I called Bosch and they said it's covered under warranty but there is no one that could fix it around here but thomas appliance and he's had his phone of the hook since 1978 because we called all day and night and got a busy signal. 15 weeks later still no help from Lowes or Bosch. I had alot of dishes to handwash over the holidays thanks to Lowes service. Lowes is the worst place to buy an appliance unless it never breaks, because they sure don't have any service and then they try to sell you the rip off extended warranty on top of the regular one that don't even get honored.

Lowes does NOT honor their warrenties. We bought a washer on sale and a four year warrenty. The washer was delivered broken from the start. A repairman came out and "fixed" it. It was loud and never seemed right. About 8 months later, the belt fell off and I opened the back to find that the repairman secured the motor with only one bolt. The rest was broken plastic parts hanging in the air. A second repair was requested but after a month, the third party repair told me (after repeated calls) that Lowes was going to replace the unit. After calling Lowes (because no one called me) I was told I was getting a check for the amount paid. Remember I said I bought it on sale? This is how they warrenty their merchandise. Sell it for less, deliver bad product, hire lame unresponsible repair houses and then try to rectify it by giving your money back instead of fixing or replacing. The biggest kick in the head - they "can't" refund my 4-year warrenty I paid for. You would be crazy to buy any large appliances from this uncaring corporation.

LOWES Extended protection plan is a roll of the dice.  They will allow anyone (they have no idea who they are or of what quality they provide) to "complete" your repair which you will need.  My fridge has sat for a month without being serviced.  I've tried and tried to get them to do someting about it but they are okay with allowing a fraudulent tech to claim he fixed the item 2 weeks ago (he's never set foot in my house as of yet).  They will take your money and will say that the protection plan gives you piece of mind but what they won't do is step up to the task of defending you when their program goes wrong so be very aware.  When it is time for them to back the product they sold to you or the people they employ to repair it that requires more effort than they care to give then you are simply out of luck.

I bought an expensive Bosch dishwasher and an expensive extended warrranty.  A small part has fallen out of the dishwasher (holds the top spray arm in) and it can't be used.  Bosch won't help.  Lowe's won't help.  Extended warranty puts off saying they need to send out a technician.  I can see what is needed.  Just send it to me!!!  This has been going on for two weeks. If I don't get satisfaction tomorrow, I will order the part elsewhere.  SKIP EXTENDED WARRANTIES!

After shopping at the Lowes on 529/Hwy 6 in Houston Tx yesterday, I was surprised at the excellent customer service. Not only was I asked if I needed assistance, the employees would actually walk me to the dept and check the product to be sure it was right for my purposes. If they had a better suggestion, it was volunteered. Not like the big box home improvement competitor at Eldridge/1960-where employees would cluster in social gatherings and merely point to an aisle, which may or may not have been correct. And that was only if you could get their attention. Lowes may be a little further in driving distance, but I'll choose them anytime!

We use Lowes online service for our home fix up projects. The website allows us to shop at home, pay online and by entering our zip code we can pick up our order at our local Lowes, usually on the same day. This service saves us time and lets us run other errands on the scheduled pick up day. If something we order is not in stock at the store, the website will usually inform us of this during the order process. There have been times when inventory was incorrect and we would end up with a shortage. That is upsetting when ordering multiples because it slows down the completion of a project.

Lowes.com is easy to use and I like the store pick up option. We have used the ship to home option, but only on items that specified the item was available through the online store only. Though we have not had problems with deliveries or damaged items using the ship to home option, we have had a few items delayed due to backorders.
All in all, we are satisfied with our shopping experiences using Lowes.com.

Lowe's internet site reflected "in stock" for some cabinet hardware. We ordered it and it was supposed to be delivered on 3/14.  On 3/30 we still haven't received it, called Lowe's and they said it was on back order.  They should have informed of this prior to 3/14.  I'll never order anything from Lowe's online again.

I bought a whirlpool compact, front loading washing machine in January 2009 for $800.  It is in a condo and not used on a daily or even weekly basis.  In fall 2011, it is completely broken.  The heavy  cement block that is the counter weight for the drum, broke completely in half and off it's mooring.  The product was poorly made  from China.  the metal rods that should strengthen the block were inadequately placed in the cement, providing no strength.  The warranty is only one year, down from 5 years in 2006.  Why?  Because they sell poor quality products and want to make even more money off you from sales of an extended warranty (which you buy if you don't have faith in the product).  Isn't $800 enough for a compact that you should get a well made product?  Now I have to buy a new one less than 3 years later and they are not offering any rebate or compensation. Caution with Whirlpool.  Buyer beware.  Customer satisfaction or quality product is not their objective.

Thanks to Lowes I was able to get rid of a Troy-Bilt Trimmer that required to have its valves adjusted at 10 hours and every 25 hours aftwards, for a Quality Husqvarna Trimmer.

I would advise against ordering any appliences from Lowes.
They use subcontractors for delivery and installaion and at least in my experience the quality of work is terrible.
I ordered gas stove and drier. Gas stove was damaged during the installation and was leaking gas. The drier was not operational. I ended up replacing the stove and returning the drier. The whole ordeal took about 2 weeks.
Customer support is minimal.

Placed a special order and recv'd a call that it had arrived. Drove over to pick it up. Waited 1/2hr for a warehouse person to come to the front desk, waited another 1/2hr until he bought the wrong order. I ordered 8" china blue tiles - 3 boxes. what was delivered and accepted by lowes 5 boxes of 12 * 12 beige tile from a different company. Now I call that gross inefficiency and mis-management of time, staff and knowledge. In these days of computerized tracking and ordering how could you allow that to happen, how do all the people involved in ordering & accepting inventory not realize something is wrong and FIX it. I think they just don't care. NEVER shopping at lowes again not even going to use the $10 gift certificate which in no way compensates me for my time and gas.
