NM online buying experience is one of the worst that I have ever had! They promised a full-size Clinique "turn around" cream with any purchase. I made two purchases and received order confirmations. Days later, I got an email saying that they did not have the bonus product any more. I therefore asked to cancel my orders because they hadn't been shipped yet. The rep., who was not exactly friendly, asked if I would be willing to get a Jo Malone product. I said "yes," naively thinking that it would be at least of a decent size. Well, I just got it last night -- it is a 9ml sized sample! And even that, they only gave it to one of my orders, not one for each purchase. It is such a joke!
On top of that, the 9ml-sized "product" came in a HUGE box that is big enough to contain three large books! What a waste!

Won't honor their own gift cards and are liars. My Brother purchased a gift card for my wife several years ago. My wife went to use the card only to be informed that it had expired. Funny since right on the gift card in large letters it says "This card does not expire". After many hours on the phone recieving different stories we were informed that the amount was credited to the card that it was purchased with. Funny since the card has long since expired and been cancelled. Do not trust this company or do business with them! We will have to go to small claims court to get a refund.

Don’t waste your time shopping at this store. I place and order and it shows up on time. No big deal there. When I open the box what do I find? They can’t even get the order right. I called to get a replacement and guess what? They are out of stock. No luck for me in the search for the perfect Christmas gift. Not only was it the wrong style of boot but it was even the wrong size. This is completely unacceptable especially when parching an expensive item from a supposed high class store. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM!!!!!

I will never shop at Neiman Marcus Online again. I ordered a pair of Toms in a size 8, after waiting about two weeks for the shoes to arrive I get them and THEY SENT THE WRONG SIZE! The box said 8, but the shoes were an 8 1/2. I then had to contact customer service since they charge you to send merchandise back. I was apologized to and told the fee for returns would be waived, and once they received the order I was returning that they would send out the correct order. I then waited ANOTHER two weeks only to receive a phone call stating they did not have my size in stock & a refund would be issued. So I am out of shoes I really wanted because of a mistake they made. It's ridiculous, and they will no longer be receiving my business.

i recently purchased several pair of cole haan shoes from neiman marcus online. one pair was in excellent quality; however, the other 2 pair had been refurbished. one pair even had the wrong insoles installed. I knew this beyond a shadow of a doubt because i purchased the same shoe from a different store. usually, it is very difficult to identify refurbished (they look new). the ones i received were very poorly done--wrong insoles, unglued from the base of the shoe, and layers of the insole were separating. luckily, i have a neiman marcus close to me and returned them. for such a high end store, i'm very surprised by it selling refurbished as new. never had this problem with nordstrom, endless.com, or even amazon. really neiman?

I placed an order on April 26 for 2 pair of Gucci shoes. I used my mastercard and after checking my account, noticed that I had been charged $880.00 which was the price for both pair of my shoes but also was charged an additional $470.00 and when the other pair ships out, I will be charged another $410.00!! I called customer service and she tried explaining that $880.00 was a authorization charge and the $470.00 was charged because one pair of shoes were shipped on April 27. So the moral of there shipping method is that the amount you order, they will hold your money for 5 days and as the order starts shipping they will also charge you again!!!! Its like your paying double for your order then they will refund you in a week for there double charge or as they call it "authorization hold"!!! I will never order from Neiman Marcus online again!!! I prefer Nordstorm or Saks Fifth if I don't want my money just put on hold for a week!!! Happy I stopped at $880.00 because they would have been holding up more than $1700plus dollars!!!! Smh

I bought a dress online which was supposed to come with a matching belt. After stuffing me around for a week over my credit card (I'm not in the USA) I finally got the dress but no belt. I immediately contacted NM but nothing was ever done about it. Two months later NM claimed they had asked the dress manufacturer for a belt and when this was declined they refused to do anything more about the issue. No credit or replacement belt was offered, despite the fact they had sent me a defective item. When I went to close my account, since I have no intention of buying from them again, I found there's no way of deleting your account. All you can do is remove the associated credit card.

Neiman Marcus has absolutely ridiculous on-line service. I ordered rather expensive evening gown, just to be notified later on that it is not in stock. When I was placing this order on-line there was no information that the dress was not available. Then my order was cancelled. Customer service poor and misleading. Hate this store. I wasted so much time on this store instead of shopping somewhere else.

Have shopped online with Neiman Marcus for years. The quality of merchandise has tanked and customer service is of no service. Emails are completely ignored. Know what you're buying. If it's make-up, candles it's okay. Clothes are another story. And linens. They just fall apart! I'll still shop at NM but will be very careful about what I order.

After they sent me 1. wrong color 2. defective shoe 3. charged me for shipping which they shouldn't have, I attempted to exchange them at this store and buy 2 other pairs. They offered to money to my debit card in 14 days and said, well, "go ahead and buy another pair, up to you." This was from the manager on duty per the Customer Service Rep. This was a first time experience for me to shop Neiman Marcus Online and had to use the chat service 3-times. The representatives do not take the time to read the questions I have asked and they do not have the patience. As soon as each of them came on they wanted to get off the chat. Terrible experience each of the 3 times I was on and will not use them again.
Moreover, when I went to drop of the item to mail back to Neiman Marcus the postal service could not print a confirmation of receipt nor a tracking for me to track the package. I'm supposed to just trust the postal service with a $1,000.00 worth of an item? Terrible!
They should take note from Zappos on line and their customer service as well as their shipping policies.

I have been extremely disappointed with Neiman Marcus, and their shipping partner Sun Delivery regarding a recent order. I placed the order in late November, it is now New Years and I *still* have not received it - and will apparently be lucky if I get it before February.
For a "luxury" retailer, Neiman Marcus is absolutely pathetic at customer service. There has been zero follow up with me -- I have had to contact NM and Sun Delivery at every step of the process or I would have been completely left in the dark. As it is, Sun Delivery will only tell me one day ahead of time before they will make the delivery - which is absolutely ridiculous, since I work full-time and live alone, and it is not easy (and sometimes simply not possible) for me to leave work on such short notice.
I would highly recommend looking elsewhere to do your online shopping -- when you are spending thousands of dollars, it's not too much to expect that the company will , you know, be in touch about when and how they are going to get you your merchandise.

My husband purchased a pair of Ferragamo shoes at Neiman Marcus Online for me. They were too big, so I went to a store to return them, but they do not accept in store returns for online purchases, but will send the item to their warehouse for you. I did this and bought a replacement pair of shoes while I was in the store. Three weeks later, the shoes I returned were sent back to me with a note that said "the merchandise appears to have been used and they appreciate the disappointment I must feel". I never wore the shoes!! This is the worst return policy EVER!! I will NEVER buy a pair of shoes at NM online and will let everyone I know not to also.

I ordered a dress. It came, it was fine. I then ordered a pair of pants. 79.00 on sale. They came, no tag attached. I called customer service and was told some items don't come with tags? OK, I thought about it over the weekend. I called again, I was told the same thing. I went to iron the pants. The wrinkles in the back of the knee clearly told me these pants were USED. I called again. I got a supervisor. The pants a) should have had a tag and b) clearly someone did not inspect my shipment. Now I had to re-order the pants, ship back the old ones. Not a penny off for my aggravation and lies. Not a discount for my next order. Just a lame apology. They probably get away with this alot. The need better inspectors, and their customer service people better wake up. I will not order again, ever.

Returned an item bought online at the store (ignoring the rolling eyes and snide comments of the guy handling my return). My credit card statement showed the returned amount (~$200). THEN! four months later, the $200 charge showed up on my bill again!!! I called to ask what happened, and they said that the item never turned up at their distribution center, so they charged me for it again (with no notice)!!! Are you kidding me???!! The "rolling eyeball" guy could have taken my returned sweater home to his girlfriend for all I know, and they CHARGE ME FOR IT! STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN MY MONEY BACK. DON'T SHOP HERE.

I ordered a pair of Ferragamo sneakers online very quickly and with the assistance of online chat, which I love. I was disappointed to second guess my choice after receiving the package only to find I rece. Nonetheless, I contacted customer service and they offered to provide free return shipping and after I contacted them again when I saw a further markdown, I was credited 10%. While I would have preffered to have been notified of the "substitution" prior to shipping, I was pleased with their support in resolving this obviously avoidable substitution.
As for issue resolution, they were fantastic; plus it was easy via their online chat. As for sending me a different item, very poor judgement. Nonetheless, I will shop there again.

I ordered Christmas figurines from Neiman Marcus last year, but I never opened the box since I ordered after the holidays. I opened the boxes this year, all 6 figurines were damaged. I sent back figurines last year also because they were damaged. These are a series from Dept. 56, very disappointed.Will not order from them again online. Just received my petit fours from them also yesterday, have never tasted a worst thing in my life. Our guests tonight wanted to know what local bakery they were from, they had such a horrible after taste. I told them they were from Neimans, they said it figures. A total rip-off!
