These guys are charlatans and their customer service is the worst. I bought a chain grinder from them and they omitted the necessary bolts to attach it to the bench. Their website does not advise you of this and when I called they blew me off. Returning this machine would cost more than the price of it so I am stuck with a piece of junk and no recourse. Save your money and DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FORM NORTHERN TOOL! Flag all their emails as spam! You will thank me for not getting ripped off again from these crooks.

I ordered a Green Works pole saw[model # 20102] from Northern at a total cost of $277.97,this included an extra 24 volt battery.I was satisfied with the durability & overall appearance of the saw & was planning to buy a blower that would utilize the same batteries.Upon putting the sections together I noticed one of the collars was missing that hold the sections together.I called Green Works & got the runaround & was told to call Northern Tool,from whom I had ordered it from.The customer service man was very polite & took my phone number & said he would call me back when he got an answer as far as getting the collar issue resolved.That was a week ago & so much for the nice phone manners.I will never buy from these 2 shyster companies again if they do not make things right with me.I grew up on a farm & will have to use baling wire & duct tape to make it usable.

Nightmare Experience
I purchased a wood stove for $500 from Northern Tool. My bank account was credited 3x ($1500) for that same purchase on three separate occacions!!
For a whole WEEK NT had me going back and forth among their departments and my bank, were rude and NEVER acknowledged any wrong doing.
This had me frustrated and without sleep for an entire week, and messed up with my finances terribly.
Woudln't recomend the risk of buying from them to my worst enemy, I would say Avoid Northern Tool!

Ordered a part for my tractor on Monday. Was in stock and I was told it would ship that day. Friday I called, asking where it was. Hadn't even SHIPPED! No reason given - "I don't know why it hasn't shipped".

If I had any choice, I wouldn't order anything from them again.

Ordered on the internet. everything went normal.

This company is god awful.  I ordered a rake (in stock) and was given 7-10 day lead time.  15 days later and don't have it.  I bought it for a birthday gift and am disgusted with the "could care less attitude" when I called to check on it several times.  I won't be ordering from this deadbeat company again.

cart arived in 2 days was suppose to take up to 10 days so shipping was extremely fast, the box was damaged but the contents were not affected. overall i am pleased with cart.

Found the exact product that we had purchased many years ago. Needed another one for a new vehicle and were pleased to find the hitchhide bag still available. Keep up the good work.

The front plastic cover of the welder had an abrasion on it when received. It was not from the shipping as the packaging was intact. I notified Northern by email and they said I need to contact he manufacturer to see if they would replace the cover. Plus a lens replacement kit for welding helmet ordered was never shipped and I needed to contact both UPS and Northern to straighten this out.

Horrible customer service!

I have ordered several items from Northern Tool. The real test of a good company is the level of service they provide when there is an issue. Northern Tool & Equipment failed miserably. I recently purchased a Plasma Cutter which was recently stolen. I called Norther Tool hoping that they could provide the serial number. They did nothing to try to assist me. When I asked about purchasing another unit, they were only interested in selling me the entire unit with the accessory kit (the accessory kit was not stolen). While it certainly is not their fault that my item was stolen; they had an opportunity to assist me with my needs and had no interest in doing so.

I will never conduct business with them again and will go out of my way to tell others of my bad experience.

Easy to order.

Pleasantly surprised. It has been several year since I have shopped at Northern Tool. I will be back soon when I have some time to look around the store more. Everyone contacted in the store was very helpful and friendly.

Arrived ahead of schedule and in great shape.

NorthernTool is always dependable in their service. The orders are shipped fairly quickly and delivered on-time, as expected. Ordering is quick and easy. The prices aren't always the best I can find and some of the items I've received have been of fairly poor quality. Generally, they provide reasonable quality merchandise and better than average service.
