After spending hours looking at many online stores for sports equipment, I chose Holabird Sports because they had the best shipping rate.  At first I was pleased that shipping for my order was $5.95. So I placed the order.
Three days after submitting the order (including giving my credit card information), I was contacted via phone and told that shipping was now going to be $17.65. I spoke to a manager and I told her that at checkout that the shipping price was $5.95, but the manager said that she “had no control over shipping price errors on the website.” I then canceled the order.  Therefore – use extreme caution when purchasing at Holabird Sports, or you may find that your shipping costs may be over 295% higher than what is stated at checkout – and you’ll only discover it after you place the order.

Overall they have good prices on their merchandise, on the other hand their customer service is absolutely horrible.   My latest, and final, experience was to have the lady yell at me the entire time I was explaining what they had shipped incorrectly.   Their better prices will no longer be enough to get my money, I'd rather pay a little extra than to deal with these people.  Simply awful!!  
Follow- up was an feeble attempt to contact me by a customer service rep - true to their poor customer service - a week later she has still not contacted me. Would say the good reviewers here likely never had to return anything. Pay alittle more and deal with people that treat you well.  It is NOT Holabird!!!

mismatched shoes arrived - lead to immense delays

Don't expect to ship to an address that is not your home.  They will not ship to any other location.  we found this out too late.  It is stated in the shipping section of their website but then why bother to have the option of ship to and bill to?  last time we'll use this provider.

I used to think this was a great website with quality products and fast, free shipping. However, my most recent experience has left me completely disappointed. Holabirdsports sports cancelled my order on two pair if shoes without even contacting me. They "thought the order was a mistake." Thanks for nothing. No help from customer service at all by phone or email. Attitude: we don't care, we don't have to.

Web site stated product did not include a cover so I purchased a cover. When I received the product it did include a cover so now I have an extra cover. Also, the original product I purchased was canceled so I had to order another product. I am happy Holobird offered me a similar product for the same price. This is my first time shopping with this company but overall a good experience.
