WARNING!!!  WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!  Multiple charges pending on credit cards - NO order ever completed or received.  Lengthy amount of time and so much frustration in attempting to place a simple order, all to no avail.  Waste of time, energy and possible credit card risk - avoid, avoid, avoid.


They are either the most inefficient operation in the retail market or have been too busy sampling their wares to think straight.  We finally gave up and contacted our bank and credit card to warn against further multiple charges.


AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I ordered some wine and chocolate for my mother as mothers day was approaching. The chocolate was received melted and myactually remarks remarked that the 75 dollar package of goodies she received was only 17 dollars at Costco. Embarrassing and expensive. I called swine.coma sorry wine.com and they said they would mail out the chocolate again. They did but then charged me 20 dollars for shipping. Can you believe the nerve?  Never again will I shop at wine.com or their affiliate red envelope.

Worse ever.  I ordered a Christmas gift in late November to be delivered on Thursday before Christmas.  Tracking/delivery date kept changing and it was finally delivered Tuesday After Christmas.  Tried to call and no answer on phone customer service and no response from email inquiry.  This was a gift for my parents and the wine was supposed to go with their Holiday meal.

I brought the  Concha y Toro Marques de Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 for $21.99 each but found that the wine is good but it is about $8 more expensive than what it sells for @ the Costco. The Customer service was the most rude i have experienced when i called back on what the price match policy was. The rep told me " this is America and I am free to take my business elsewhere....guess what they lost one customer for life"

Their selection is large, and ordering was easy enough, but after factoring in the cost of shipping, their prices - even with a half-off LivingSocial coupon I was using - are actually no better than any number of local discount wine sellers in my area (i.e.; BevMo). It must be said, though, that the packaging they used was excellent and their delivery time was extremely FAST! Somehow they had my order to my door within two days. Very impressive. (How the heck did they do that?!)

I tried Wine.com because there was a free shipping promo and would happily shop there again as long as I didn't have to pay for shipping (or it was a very low cost). Free (or very low) shipping is one of the driving factors for most of my on-line pruchases.
