I tried shopping online on a day that guaranteed me 15% off my full purchase and free shipping, but the prices that appeared at checkout were not prices that were initially on the items and prices kept changing on the checkout page. When I applied the 15% off coupon code to my purchase, immediately all the item prices changed to a higher price, so very confusing. Love the clothing. The service is among the worst you'll encounter online for a big retailer.

In my experience, you'll be charged within a week for your order, but will wait a month or more for it to ship. You'll pay your credit card bill long before you're sure you'll be getting the clothing, in other words. If you're ok with this (and I am NOT), then go ahead ... clothing are cute and age appropriate.

Example:

Today is 20 May...

- I placed a LARGE order on 25 April.
- My card was charged 7 May
- The site says the order shipped 6 May
- FedEx says they have no record of such a shipment
- Children's Place returned no e-mails (send using a form on their site)
- After calling (nearly a week ago), Children's Place kindly offered to "look into it," advising it "could take a week" and "it's definitely going to be a FedEx issue."

Can you see where this is headed? I pay, while Children's Place and FedEx blame one another, rather than putting an effort into making me a happy customer.

I am a frequent shopper of The Children's Place stores and of their internet website. This store, in my opinion, not only has affordable, quality clothing for infants, toddlers, and children, but has an excellent customer service department. I have called their customer service department for help on several occasions, and have always been helped in a timely and friendly manner.

When shopping via internet, I love being able to take advantage of the $5 flat shipping, no matter how much I order, which is cheaper for me than actually driving there most times. The $5 shipping via ground service is extremely fast, too- it only takes 2 days to reach my doorstep. I can also take advantage of special discounts (which become available quite frequently), which can be used on anything in the store, including clearanced items. This store has become my favorite place to shop for both of my children.

Great deals and shipping is always 5 bucks, so whether I was getting one or ten things, I didn't have to worry about the shipping costs. The site offered different delivery options, but I got my package within a few days and did just the regular ground shipping. Items were just like the store quality, except I didn't have to go to the store. I got the right stuff every time I placed an order. I shop the Children's Place website first before going any place else. Overall, great quality, affordable prices, and shipping doesn't break the bank.

I purchased over $95.00 worth of clothing and was over charged on tax. I emailed customer service on 11/22/03 and of this date, 12/27/03, haven't gotten a reply. I resent the email today and am going to give them a week to respond. I have no problem sending my complaint about the over charge to my State's Attorney General Office and the Federal Trade Commission. Although it's very convenient to shop here because of the many out of state locations, I won't buy from them again. Customer support is non existent. I could understand a delay if I had ordered close to Christmas but it was before Thanksgiving! My overall satisfaction with this store is a generous 4 on a scale of 10.
