Online ordering is poor. The first time I tried to order a gift card online, I was able to do so.  However, the 3 subsequent times I tried, using Paypal, it was a failure. It comes back with an empty cart and no order. I tried calling their 800 number, and the person who answered was not pleasant, and simply said try again - which led to another failure.

Here is an update. The first time I ordered successfully, it was for a $50 gift card plus shipping costs. The 4 failures were for two $50 gift cards with no shipping (Shipping is free for orders over $69.95). The fifth try was for one $50 gift card plus shipping and it went through. It's possible that waiving the shipping is causing issues. I did write to their Support, and received a  phone call from a pleasant support person, so I will update the Customer Service rating. I did not place an order for a second $50 card.

I will update this review again when/if I receive the second card.

I have ordered from tennis express 3 times and have been disappointed 3 times all for one reason, defective product.
first time, I ordered a racket and there are dents and paint scratch on it
second time, I ordered pair of shoes, and the shoes have been worn.
third time, I odered strings, and the string cover is broken.
so apparently, tennis express sends out defective products for internet customers knowing the customers won't bother to ship it back as long as the damage isn't major. it is so shortsighted.

Briefly describe your shopping experience... AWFUL. I order a case of tennis balls 3 weeks ago. After two weeks I called to check on my order and the guy tells me "oh yeah those aren't available anymore. we can get the original ones if you'd like" so I said that would be fine and they promised me expedited shipping. Over a week later now and still no case. Cancelled my order and will NEVER do business with them again.

Tennisexpress.com sends spam to your email address almost daily after you have placed only one order.  they disregard requests to unsubscribe. i called and asked to be removed from their list and continue to receive multiple messages daily. Do not buy from them unless you want to be harrassed by spam

I had a great experience shopping at Tennis Express. I find they have many nicely discounted items and a great variety of gear a tennis player needs. Shipping was pleasantly fast: I placed an order on a Sunday night and I received all my items by Thursday noon (Texas to California). Their sizing charts are up to date as far as I know. The only problem I had (which was very minor) was that I ordered a pair of shoes in purple which said they had my size. However, it turned out they didn't even though the size I wanted was still listed as available on the website. Nonetheless, Tennis Express contacted me immediately and told me about the problem, and I ordered the shoes in blue instead (which are quite lovely). I am very satisfied with the promptness of Tennis Express's customer service. I hope everyone else has as good as an online shopping experience with them as I did!

As always, my experience with Tennis Express was excellent.

I like shopping at Tennis Express because they have some products not available at the other online merchants. However, they could make their website more attractive, the pictures and the zooming feature don't entice buyers.

The website works well, their prices beat everybody else and their shipping schedule and customer service cannot be beat. They do a great job.

Haven't used the racquet yet. However, up to this point the racquet arrived, as requested, with correct tension, stringing and grip size. Am more than pleased at this point.
