I bought a reconditioned xbox for a good price, but it only lasted 6 months. After it dies I took it apart and found they had repaired it by removing the xbar and bolting the board and chip togehter.  this si know to be a fix that works for a short time and cuases much more problems in the long run.  Not a proper way to recondition the unit.  they wouldn't do anything for me.  Also on the same order I got a sony camera.  it wouldn't hold a charge, got another and the same issue.  They finally sent me a panasonic camera that worked.  I won't shop them again.

May 2011 I bought a refurbished laptop from

8/1/12 the hard drive failed . I called and was sent a return lable and shipped the laptop to them on 8/2

8/7 They got the laptop and Matt said it had a failed drive and would warranty it. Refund, another refurb or repair.

8/8    Matt called said because I had the screen replaced by somebldy else it was not under warranty

They shipped it back without the drive, drive holder or rails and without the power supply.

I called and they emailed to say I didn't return those parts!
How could I send it in for warranty without the parts?
All I get is the runaround. Now Matt is no longer with them.

I have spent   HOURS on the phone and stil get lies and the runaround

Horrible company...... They advertise 100% satisfaction..... That is farrrrrr from the truth......... I made an order for PS3 Call of Duty Bundle, and the first order they canceled due to over order amount.... I place a second order and the wrong PS3 arrived..... yet my order clearly said:
Qty. Product(s)
1 711719843900 (Refurbished) Sony PlayStation 3 711719843900 98439 160 GB Call of Duty: Black Ops - Charcoal Black
So either they have employees that can't read or scam...

"You get what you pay for. Shortly after the ninety days, kapoof! the computer crashed and "customer service" provided no help whatsoever--very rudely informed me that was my problem. "No repairs are made by tech for less" (the very people who refurbish these things and sell them off to the public won't repair them?), no re-stocking fee for an exchange possible?, no options at all!!!--my problem-- I'm on my own with this piece of junk! Don't take chances with this company! I cannot recommend amyone buy from this company!"

I bought a MS laser keyboard from the "scratch and dent".  Beware, this can also mean non-working.   In techforless, this usually means the same thing.  At least EBAY, will indicate if a product is NON-WORKING and used for parts.

I ordered photo frames, which were inexpensive. The chat agent also updated my order to free shipping.-when I tried to do google checkout, they bumped the shipping to $999.-with amazon checkout it errored out-i finally paid through paypal.-now after 7 days I sent them mail at and didn't hear back-I called at 866–880–1230 x4110 and left a voicemail, nobody called back-I called today (10days after the order placement), and after 15 mintues of holding the phone, someone answered just to tell me they don't have the product I ordered in stock. Either he can cancel the order or I need to order similar ones.-Now hopefully I will get a refund back. Not going back to their website lured by cheaper prices, not worth the time and energy spent

I ordered a product over the weekend and afterward realized that their site did not give adequate information about the product and it was not the model I wanted. Since they don't have business hours over the weekend, I couldn't get a hold of anyone until Monday morning when I was told the product had been shipped over the weekend. Their shipping costs aren't cheap, so after paying to ship it both ways and then pay to ship the correct product, it would have been cheaper to buy it a store where it came with a warranty.

Original manufacturer package of sealed "brand new" purchased software had had rebate tab 1 removed prior to shipping. Tech for Less would not refund purchase amount as I had been opened the package. This misrepresentation cost me $20. Do not trust seller's claims.

I just bought an Epson workforce printer from Tech For Less's scratch and dent stock because in the description it claimed that it only missed the ink, i did call Tech For Less just to verify and was told that it is correct. So for the price it was listed at which was ridiculously low and i mean LOW, LOW i thought it would be worth taking a chance anyhow and see what i would get.....Well today the printer arrived actually in it's original retail box and packing which of course had been opened for testing... now, i am no expert but very picky about everything and when i took the machine out of the box expecting whatever i swear it was brand new every thing included still in the original manufacturers packing as i hooked everything up ran the set up for the wireless network and software and ''voila'' printer works like a charm after of course i had replaced the missing inkblack and cayan.....Well i guess i will be looking at Tech For Less first next time time and money.....shipping was fast as well took four days UPS ground weekend included to the east coast.

I researched a transactional license for Adobe Flash, and then followed a link to Tech for Less. I figured either way I would be safe because they boasted a 30 day money back guarantee. The first copy they sent me didn't have a serial number, so they promptly sent me another copy. The second copy didn't have the serial number, and that was the problem specified with the first copy. Even though on the product description there was a 1 user license specified through transactional or OOP. This is the last email I have received: It looks as though this product is only for the media, not the license. Which is just what the listing says for the item. “MEDIA KIT CS4 FLASH PRO 10”. So we will not be able to further assist you. The license has to be purchased separately. I will not have you send the other kit back. Please use it if you can or dispose of it. Please let me know if you have further questions. Thank you, I replied I want my money back per guarantee, no answer yet.

I bought a Nikon D40 for a very good price from this store. I received the product on time - seven days after it was ordered since it was an international purchase. Unfortunately, I just found out that the battery and the charger are not compatible with the camera. I am really disappointed because I had to pay a large amount of money for shipping and taxes, now, I feel defenseless about getting the rightful accessories . I feel that I am going to be required to shell-out money again for their mistake. I am still awaiting reply from Tech for Less. I do not recommend buying from this company if you do not want to waste your time chasing after them, especially if you would like to have the product shipped to an international address.

I purchased Left 4 Dead 2 for PC from The copy i received was packaged in a generic DVD case with a L4D2 cover scotch taped on. When i registered the key, steam rejected it because it was already registered. Customer support did say they would refund my money. I'll find out if that happens in about 7 working days.

I am very disappointed in my experience with Tech for less. The item shown was for a camera kit, and the "lowest price" comparison was also for the kit (I should know, I saw it elsewhere - and obviously should have bought it there) when I realized this, I refused the package. They told me that I have to pay shipping both ways (which I think it somewhat crappy of them, but fine) and a restocking fee even though it was never opened, and sold to me somewhat dishonestly. Their customer service is aweful and I can't believe anyone would actually buy from them.

Do yourself a favor, find a more honest retailer.

Bought a Samsung monitor that was "refurbished". It stretched the image out and never worked properly, but Tech for Less wanted me to pay all the shipping, so it wouldn't be worth it to ship it back. In less than a year the monitor died completely. I emailed Tech for Less and they would do nothing. Will never order from here again.

I ordered a used Olympus digital camera -- instead I received a flash memory card. Good thing the order was paid for through PayPal, or I might still be struggling with this company as some of the other reviewers did. I immediately filed a dispute through PayPal and got my money back, but am left wondering how legitimate this company is.

I ordered an Xbox 360 20gig with an Open Box condition.
Sadly, only 8 days after getting my Xbox 360 it is already getting a Red Ring of Death. Thus making my Xbox as useful as the box that it came in. I personally find it frustrating that a company would deliver a product that would die so quickly. It is my hope that is company is able to resolve the issue in a timely manor... I will edit this entry once my ticket has been answered (Submitted June 22 ~9:00AM PST)
I would suggest users be wary of purchasing from Techforless.

I ordered an APC UPS that was listed as Factory Sealed. I received on in the original box but was clearly previously opened. It was tapped up with some tabs on the outside of the box instead of inside. There was no additional packaging on box to protect the shipment. The box was dented. I was concerned but fortunately the device works. Should have been listed as open box.

Purchasing was fine, the computer I received  (twice) was awful. lasting less than a year both time with motherboard failures, they don't stand behind their equipment, don't offer extended warranties, leave you hanging when you call tech services and customer service, hang up on you if call going too long. never again will I shop there.
