Worst customer service in the world. They will take your money and then you will wait weeks and weeks to get your stuff they have no stock period! AVOID AT ALL COSTS

We ordered a Kalatel KTD 313-1 protocol convertor from Spytown .com about a week and a half ago. At first ,we were told that it would be delivered in 3-4 days.... after 3-4 days and no delivery of item, we called Spytown.com and were told that the part was in route to us. After 6-7 days of orginally placing the order, we were told Ge had not even shipped the part yet , the worst part was ,when we called Spytown .com and had questions about our order , they would hangup
the phone on us about 4 or 5 times or redirect our phone calls to people who put our call on hold for over a half hour and did everything possible not to address our questions.... I will never order from Spytown.com again.... I would rather paid more for a item and get better custumer service. Most of the people at Spytown were rude and unprofessionally , only one man we spoke with on our last phone took the time to answer our questions concerning our order . We cancelled our order from Spytown.com
and we will order from someone else...

After the initial order confirmation email, I did not receive any further email updates on shipping progress. After 8 days, I contacted customer service via telephone. They answered quickly but said they had to contact the manufacturer in order to provide an update. After about 30 minutes, they called back and gave me FedEx tracking numbers, which were delivered on-time (on a Saturday, even). "A " company, "A " customer service, but "C" website/email updates on order progress. I will definitely continue to order ChannelVision products from SpyTown.

I was looking for two related-mfr.items from this vendor. The second item was not to be found and I had to call for service to find out if they carried the item. The person relatively quickly confirmed that and gave me the SKU number to enable me to go back online and order.
Subsequently, several days went by without any acknowledged shipping info. I had to email customer service to ask the status. I had an email reply within 12 hours that there was a back-order for one item and the order would ship in 5-10 days. They ultimately beat that timing and the package arrived in a few days.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE PRICE, yes the price looks great, but if you need sooner than 30, yes thats right 30 days dont bother with this company. The discount they offer if you spend more than 5000 isnt worth it if you can't get the product. I recieved no invoices, no tracking numbers, nothing. Forget getting a return phone call, I will not order from this company ever again.

I ordered a simple voice annunciator from them with two day ground shipping. Simple, right? The price was good, but the shipping and service is HORRID. They do not provide tracking or update their order status database, and do not stock anything that a sole proprietorship in New Jersey has stocked and at your door by two days flat time! These guys are making me wait 6-12 business days (8-16 normal days) to even get it shipped, and an additional three business days to have it in transit. Also, they charge a pleasent 25% cancellation fee PLUS more AT THEIR DISCRETION of which you cannot be exempt. Their service department has an abrasive attitude and needs to take a group ettiquete seminar. Not my choice, not again. I will go with the small company in New Jersey, thank you.

I bought from Spytown the Cyrex HFX-800M video intercom with an additional EX-800D door camera.
Monitor stopped working after 10 min. without any apparent cause. The problem showed up in the programming Menu mode: screen was blanking in one sec. every time when entered in menu screen.
I obtained the RMA number and returned unit to Spytown to ship to the Cyrex - the manufacturer. Then for 8 weeks(!) I couldn't get my money back because Cyrex didn't have time to review the returned unit.
Finally, the did and reported to Spytown that unit was fine! As a result I was charged a $125 restocking fee (plus my shipping costs) for the return of the defective unit.
On the top of that Spytown almost NEVER answers the customer service phone - the only way for me to talk to anyone was - to call the sales and ask them to transfer the call to the customer service.
Both Spytown and Cyrex are worth each other - both very bad companies.
I will never buy from them.

I had a great experiance with my last order. I placed and order online but was able to get help to verify i was getting the right parts that worked from somone that knew their stuff. I could not get this on a few other sites which i wont name. Spy Town 2 tumbs up!!
