I placed an order with Soft Surroundings and I paid extra for 2 day delivery. I am expecting my order about four business days to receive the item; I base this off of what is on Soft Surroundings' website. On the third business day after I placed order, my item still hasn't shipped, so I called "customer care" (which they don't really care; they need to change that), and I was told that it probably wasn't shipping until the day that I was suppose to receive it!  I do most of my shopping on the internet, and I have not had the problems that I have had with Soft Surroundings.  When I pay for extra cost for faster shipping, I actually get the item within the time frame that the company stated.  I will do my shopping elsewhere.  If shopping with this company, I wouldn't pay extra for shipping because they collect your money for extra shipping, but you get the regular shipping.

I love that they sell good quality cotton. I have purchased items in the past that were exactly what I wanted. However be warned that they do not always describe the items well. If it doesn't show the back, call and ask about it. If it doesn't describe the finish of the hems, call and inquire. I ordered several items and when they came had features, had I known, would not have considered. I wrote a reveiw of the items on the site and the reviews were never published. Then, when returned, Soft Surroundings charged $13.90 for shipping, which wouldn't have been done had they mentioned a different hemline on the back of the shirt than the front and crudely stitched hems on the other. 
Save yourself some money and ask before buying and get the name of the person you asked.

My shopping experience was good. I absolutely love the stirrup pants I purchased and am thinking of buying them in another color. A year ago I bought the slim jean and loved the quality; however, they were a bit too short in the rise. I wish now that I would have returned them as I do not wear them. The stirrup pants are fabulous, slimming, comfortable and great with boots.

The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I paid for 2 business day delivery,called to check on my order,was told that once it ships (could be 2-3 days) then it would be 2 business days..have never heard of such a service. The next time I called was told it was shipped,asked for tracking number and then was told it was not shipped. Third time was told they would upgrade to 1 business day..yep,you guessed it..still waiting for my order 5 days later. Extremely rude customer service representatives!!!!!! Please do yourself a favour and shop elsewhere..your peace of mind will thank you!!

I tried to place an order this morning...trying to use my "anniversary" discount of $20 before it expires on 10/31/12.  This little voice kept saying "Don't do it...think about your past orders".  But, the checkout procedure would not accept my discount code.  This is the THIRD time this has happened to me.  The times before...I wanted the items so badly...that I went ahead and ordered at full price (more about that later).  I'm not falling for it this time.  I'll just order the sweater I want at Territory Ahead...and not waste my money here. 

About my previous orders....Soft Surroundings must have an excellent advertising agency (or whoever produces their catalogues).  The items look beautiful...well worth the price...until you get them home.  Everything I have ordered has been cheap, flimsy (Walmart quality is better)...not worth the price, even if they'd let you use a discount coupon.  The next catalogue I receive is going straight to the trash............ 

I'm actually glad my coupon wouldn't work...I'd just have another cheap, flimsy sweater that I'd never wear...........

Very poor customer service. I have purchased items from them over the years - but as they are pricey, I have to save for them.  The quality and style were worth it. NO MORE! I purchased a shirt and washed it per their instructions.  The second time it faded with blotchy spots all over it.  They refuse to offer credit or exchange.

Horrible!!!!!! I placed an order and paid next day shipping charges to receive it ASAP. I called the next day after being charged $30.00 for shipping to confirm it was sent out the women said yes and you will have it tomorrow. Then the next day I got a call saying there is a delay and it wouldn't arrive until 4more days!!!!! I called and the unhelpful women put me on hold for about 20 mins. And said theres nothing we can do. I told her I don't want it send it back and refund my money to which she said fine. I needed the skirt for a wedding and ended up o skirt no money. Now it will take them 2 months to refund my credit card. Stay away it's expensive and horrible unhelpful. Customer care. They take the money out on your card so quick but take forever to refund it

I had tried to get this product from As We Change. They had all these expensive programs they wanted you to sign up for. I will never, never order from them again. Another company required that you purchase a whole set of J. R. products. Some sites were sold out--Bed, Bath and Beyond had the product for $17 and, naturally, they had sold out. It was a Zoo out there on the internet. Then Soft Surroundings showed up on my screen and you were like an old friend. I had done business with you before and this recent transaction proceeded in a most gentile and calm Method. I am very grateful for your service. Fran Woodside

Beautiful clothing but overpriced!! Good experience so far. Will need to return item, however. It's just not me but it was a very high quality item.

Did not advise me items were not in stock. After two week I called because items did not arrive. My order was promiced to be express mailed to me to arrive in Christmas. December 26th and still no order. My credit card is charged $197, no package, Christmas is over, and they say I cannot cancel my order. What a hassle .

I have had numerous problems with orders from Soft Surroundings: items 'in stock' take weeks to arrive; backordered items postponed multiple times, then cancelled when the company can't get the item at all. The latest: my husband ordered pjs for my birthday, paying extra for 2nd Day shipping and gift wrap. In spite of the 'quick' delivery, SS missed my b'day by two and a half weeks. And the gift wrap? Tissue paper held together with a sticker showing their company logo (NO box, NO ribbon, just tissue), and "****CUSTOMIZATION**** Happy Birthday! Love (husband's name)" printed on the PACKING LIST!

I keep telling myself not to buy anything there again, but their clothes are cute. However, this is the last straw.

This business seems to have nice things. I got a catalog in the mail and their prices were kinda steep so I looked up the Soft Surroundings outlet. There is a coupon for $10 off and also a coupon for $5 shipping. The sales people told me if I order something from the regular SS I could use the $5 shipping coupon. So, I added an $80 necklace. When I called back to complete this order, they refused to honor the $10 off and the $5 shipping. They went out of their way to tell me all the things I could not do. They lost a $140 sale because they would not honor the $5 shipping. It's not the price for me, it's the principle. They seemed much more intent on following their strict policies and not being helpful than actually making a sale. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and one was "not available," so I left my name and still have yet to hear from them. That's how much I mean as a customer. There's plenty of other places to shop, Soft Surroundings.

I sent back several items for return and although Soft Surroundings received the items, it took several weeks for them to credit back to my credit card. They continued to tell me they were 'processing' the return. When I asked what was involved in 'processing' they could not answer other than to say they were putting it in the 'system'. I said, oh, you mean it takes you 1 minute to type it in a computer. In my opinion, how quickly a company processes a return is just as important as how they process a purchase. I asked them to take me off their mailing list and I will not purchase from them again -- there are too many companies out there with better, more efficient service.

Sizing is not consistent from one article to the next. The quality is very good but often I have to try two different sizes to get the right fit.

Some confusion on receiving discount as advertised by 3rd party web site, however, a prompt online interaction quickly resolved the issue. I think SoftSurrounds has a web software problem. Because I like their merchandize, I would shop at SoftSurrounds more often if the prices were better. Also, receiving a catalog makes it easier to shop on line.
