I recently odered two pairs of shoes from Peltz. I ordered 10.5, called back 5 minutes later and changed the order to 11. Today I received ONE pair of shoes in the wrong size.  I was told there was no record of my call and I would have to pay to return ththat pair and the other pair I still have not received. I then tried to cancel the order on the pair not shipped. I could not get through to customer service by chat and phone they said it was too late.
So this is the WORST shoe purchase I have ever made online. They stink, like feet! I noticed they also charge a restocking fee so beware of that people!!!

I will never deal with this company again. They are both incompetent and rude. The attitude of their customer service staff is disturbing. I was charged tax on the same order three times, items arriving in three separate packages all on the same day. Clearly they don't have a clue as to how to run a business. I wish I had read some of these reviews before I placed my order. Live and Learn.

I received a damaged pair of shoes and was asked to send a picture of the damaged shoe. Once they receive the photo, they will email a return label. Good grief! I have never run into this kind of customer service in online shoes sales. I sent a photo and I'm still waiting for the return label...I will never order from this company again. Wish I had read the warnings on this page before I ordered. I'm sticking with Zappos.com they have amazing customer service!

Do not buy from them.  They sell defective merchandise and advertize it as new.  I purchased $125 shoes from them and they were completely defective.  I contacted them about a refund and they refused to refund my money.

Jan 17: I ordered a pair of sneakers on Amazon from Peltz Shoes. The seller sent me a totally wrong size and refused to cover return shipping,  restocking fee is pending. They claim I ordered the wrong size and that they don't carry the size I need. 2 days later they repost the very size that they claim they don't carry. Amazon A-Z policy didn't help, although it states that products MATERIALLY different from the order get 100% covered. How is one-third of the size my son needs NOT materially different?
Update - Jan 22:  Peltz is now claiming that Sketchers has never manufactured Big Kids size 7 (?!!), despite the fact that they have it listed on Amazon for these particular shoes. I contacted the manufacturer who confirmed Peltz is telling stories. Sketchers referred me to their website where I successfully bought Big Kid 7 for even less than Peltz sells it for (after I applied a coupon).

I ordered two pair of tennis shoes, each with a different mailing address (christmas).  Peltz called my home, but I was on vacation (because of the two different addresses).  The first order they cancelled because although it was for sale in stock on their website, it wasn't in stock.  The other order they cancelled because I didn't call them back.  Again, no notification.  When I called to find out where the shoes were, they told me all this - and then told me an automated e-mail had been sent to cancel the order.  I explained several times I did not receive an e-mail.  They pretty much called me a liar or stupid.  I asked to speak to a supervisor and their comment was the supervisor would tell me the same thing - they did send the email because it was automated - so there was no reason to talk to them.  Then they hung up.  Never again.

I mistakenly ordered the wrong size shoe and was unable to cancel my order so ordered another pair in the correct size.  I then sent the incorrect sized shoes back immediately using USPS Priority Mail with tracking TO THE RETURN ADDRESS PROVIDED BY PELTZ SHOES!  My USPS tracking info shows that the package was delivered - but when I did not receive a refund, the manager who I spoke with claims that they never received the shoes.  She said that unless I can provide a signature proof of delivery then they never received them.  When I am paying for my own return shipping (most online shoe stores will pay for return shipping) I assumed USPS tracking was enough and that I didnt have to prove delivery with a signature!  This is a total scam so that they dont have to provide a refund!  I want my $$ back and if it doesnt happen I am reporting this company to the better business bureau.

I have purchased several pairs of shoes from Peltz before; however, after my last purchase, this will be the last.  The shoes I purchased came damaged and when I contacted customer service for a replacement, they requested pictures; then the shoes; and they accused me of submitting pictures of different shoes.  They also accused me of making the damage worse as they could see a fingerprint.  They now have my shoes (they are refusing to return them) and my money. 

Peltz Shoes is an authorized vendor through the Army Air Force Exchange Service and they are a handy supplier for military families who cannot get to an exchange.  However, the fact that they called me a "liar" and accused me of intentionally damaging the shoes I just bought means that I will not ever buy shoes from them again and if any military family is reading this, I would encourage you not to purchase from Peltz.

My attempt to order shoes to be sent as a gift was a nightmare experience!  I will never again use this horribly designed website.  When the order went through the first time it came up with my husband as the recipient - where did they even get his name? - I tried to cancel it and was unable to.  The website malfunctioned continually.  At the end, after hours on the phone and website, I have finally gotten the order placed.  I expect that another one or two pairs will arrive here, which I will have to return to Peltz and then pay the postage;.

Very frustrating experience! I've placed my order and two weeks later still didn't receive the package. When I emailed the company, somebody, who didn't even introduce him or her-self told me that order was cancelled. After going back and forth I finally learned that order was cancelled because I've provided wrong phone number.  Still anonimous rep informed me that they cancelled it automatically without sendingt the email notification to the customer. This is ridiculous! I shop online all the time, and it was the first time I experienced such troubles over a minor issue. By the way, after checking my order history, I saw that my phone number was correct.

Never had a worse experience with an online company. I bought a WOMENS shoe, and they sent a MENS shoe size. There is no womens/mens size selection so the title alone would imply the shoe was only sold in WOMENS sizes. I wanted to do an exchange (up to now, no big deal... a little upset, but hey it happens).  After several hours of calling (only from 10-5) and multiple emails etc. I finally got a response for my issue. The reply was "No exchanges". Then I was informed they won't pay for the return shipping. AVOID!

UPDATE: Luckily I paid through Amazon, who helped me through the process of filing a claim. They were happy to help me out and said if they had enough claims they would stop working with Peltz. Within two hours of filing a claim I had a voicemail (@work) from Peltz wanting to help resolve the issue. This time they said they would pay for shipping. Still not clear on refund of originally shipping. It's taken 10 days to get this far, and only with the help of Amazon. Not worth the hassle...

I just received my order from Peltz through amazon and  I can honestly was im pleased. I needed some training shoes and I have difficulty finding a 14EE and I ended up finding some New Balance shoes through Peltz. The size fits great and it didn't take too long to get them. I actually tried to change the color the nextday by calling them but they said it had already shipped so I am fine with the original color.

In October I ordered several pairs of shoes for myself in 7.5w. A Clarks shoe, a sanuk flip-flop and, some madden girl heels. They all fit well and the ease of the order was great.

The company is not customer friendly.  They will not accept responsibility for return on goods that either do not fit or are damaged.  They place all the responsibility on the customer.  I received a pair of shoes, they did not fit.  When I returned them they blamed me for the dirty condition in which I received them. 

I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH PELTZ SHOES!  I URGE YOU NOT TO ALSO!

First I was overcharged when purchasing the shoes at the shoe.  Not very friendly about having to refund the difference. Then I had to return the shoes via mail.  Peltz's manager claims they never received them since they were addressed to the store.  Claims they already refunded my money but it was the difference that I was refunded. Definitely will not use Petz Shoes again either at the store or via mail - Online Shoes and Shoebuy are reliable companies and very pleasant to deal with.

Order One was cancelled as they determined that I wasnt allowed to ship to a different address than the billing one entered.  Shame the website does not alert or force the user to enter the same address.

Order Two for the same goods with the correct addressing was cancelled due to card declined allegedly.  Amex confirmed the authorisation was given and not refused.  No comment from Peltz on this one so far. 

The bit that bugs me the most is the lack of interaction when an issue does arise and the willingness to just cancel and expect me to followup.

I am not sure I wish to give them a 3rd Strike as the curent feeling is they just dont care.  I have been buying online for a long time and this is the worst experience to date. 

In future start with low expectations of the experience and if you do have issues go elsewhere.  It is the best way to teach comanies that it is unacceptable to provide bad service.

The customer service has gotten worse! They were not willing to budge on ridiculous 14 day return policy. The employees are always very pushy salesmen, so I have been frustrated before, but this incident really frustrated me! I tried to return shoes 22 days after I purchased them. They were unworn, in original packaging and with receipt. I was out of town and then waiting on other shoes to come in that I ordered from shoes.com (wonderful customer service by the way)to see which shoes I liked better. These are the types of things you have to do when you wear an unusual size. Their excuse was, "the computer automatically only prints store credit after 14 days". The manager said he couldn't override it, but there's always a way to make changes.

When you are a young woman and wear a 12N, Peltz has absolutely NOTHING for you! If you are age 60 or over you will find whatever you want.

Very frustrated customer stuck with store credit.

I will NEVER use this company again. They cancelled my order, but were still selling the shoes. I had ordered two pair of shoes, one that I really liked and another, because of the lower shipping. After they reinstated my order because they had plenty in stock, they once again cancelled the order on the shoes that I really wanted and sent only the second pair, but they were STILL selling the first shoes. I ended up paying full shipping on shoes that I only ordered for the lower shipping and never got the ones I initially wanted. I think they only fill the biggest orders and do not fill orders on a "first come, first served bases. BEWARE!!!

Poor quality, Way to expensive for their quality.
I wasn't able to exchange wrong shipment. Customer service terrible.

I will NEVER order from this store again, original order was fine, but they would not return my money for a defective product. When I called to talk to the manager, he hung up on me THREE times and wouldn't give me his name- HORRIBLE customer service- and VERY bad business.
