I have no complaint about the quality of the items but I shopped through ebates.com (as I have been doing since 2001 without incident!). the only time I have not been able to collect my cash back was with Nordstrom. They claim I clicked on some other button while ordering. Not true. It was very disappointing and I spent quite a bit of money (for me). So it was $10 that I didn't get back.

Do not buy online there if you want the item within a reasonable amount of time.  Maybe ten years ago 5-8 business days was an acceptable amount of time to wait for an item to arrive, but these days it is way TOO LONG.  

Saks, Neiman, Bloomingdales all arrive at my house within the week.  Nordstrom takes about a week and a half.  Ridiculous!!

I am extremely disappointed in Nordstrom online and will not shop there again. I made a purchase a few minutes ago using a gift card but realized after I placed the order that I'd ordered the wrong color. I called customer service, where they assured me the order could be cancelled and I could re-place the order right away. When I tried, I had no credit on my gift card. I lived chatted with Nordstrom and found out that it can take up to 5 days to credit the gift card. I need this gift now and they told me I could place my order again immediately. So frustrating!! Don't believe the rumors about great customer service and return policy. They told me they were sorry but they couldn't help me solve this problem. Really??

I made an order and forgot to add giftwrapping (it was not routinely offered as it usually is).  I realized my mistake right away and went back to try to correct it.  Couldn't find a way, so I want on the chat.  I was told that even though I was on chat within 30 seconds of the order, it was unchangeable, and uncancelable.  If I wanted to return it, it would have to be delivered, and the recipient would have to return it.  Nordstrom has changed so much over the years.  They used to be forerunner in customer service, now not offering even the industry standard.  very disappointing.

Not being a regular on line shopper and from Australia I was reluctant to order from Nordstrom but as they catered to petite sizing which is very rare here I deceided to take the plunge. My occasion is my daughter's wedding and I ordered a beautiful Maggy London dress. I went on line and asked a few questions and I found them very helpful so went ahead. When the dress arrived I took it out of the box and immediatly knew the dress would fit. The fit was perfect as if it had been made for me. I am only 5ft tall so find it very difficult to buy dresses to fit, they are always too long from shoulder to waist. I can not thank Norstrom too much as now I will feel as good as I possibly can at my age.

I ordered a watch from Nordstrom which apparently comes directly from a store not a fulfillment center.  It was for valentine's day and I ordered the watch 2/2.  The first watch I got had a few minor scratches so it had obviously been shown off and mishandled.  Customer support was very friendly and sent a replacement watch with free 2-day to get there 2/13.  They did however fail to send it to the fully correct address and it took a very nice UPS driver to find me with no suite number in a large commercial building.

The 2nd watch delivered was in even worse shape, it was dented on the front and was obviously dropped.  Customer service was again very friendly and made a good-faith effort to get me one by 2/14 but was not able to.  When I explained if they didn't get me one by 2/14 or give me any kind of incentive to reorder with them I would buy elsewhere, they said there was nothing they could do but send one to arrive 2/15.  I'll be buying elsewhere.

Bought a watch online for my wife for Christmas and package arrived 12/21.  The box was empty.  Called Nordstrom and they told me they could send a watch but it would not arrive until 12/26.  They offerred a refund and an apology.  "There is nothing else we can do."  Thanks for the empty box.

Ordered 20 items or so, about 10 look used and have to be returned. 
Details: Ordered several mens chinos, sweaters, and dress shirts. Like the online because lots of variety thats either not in the store or just hard to see in the store. Nordstrom is a fantastic store: great items, easy return policies, helpful staff. Had some problems with this order: came in about 6 different shipements arriving on different days. All the items, came, some taking longer then others. Problem is several of the items, including expensive armani sweater, etc. arrived in bad condition. Looked worn, threads were comming out, wrinkled, dirty, etc. Lukily there was no problem returning these at the store with the packing slip.

I ordered a Curio Cable Knit Swing Cardigan from Nordstrom online and received the shipment on 8/6/10. When I opened the box and removed the tissue on top, what I saw was some loose thread with a missing big button, 3rd from the top. I checked the box if any loose button was inside or an extra one normally attached to the coat but I couldn’t find any. I was so surprised and disappointed as this was ordered from Nordstrom, not from ebay. I won’t be surprise if I received an item with a defect, but can’t believe a big button right in the front missing. It was so obvious. The packing slip stated it shipped out from Palo Alto’s Nordstrom in Stanford Shopping Center. I called their customer service and requested an exchange. They agreed to send me another one and asked me to send the one without the button back to Nordstrom, but I couldn’t find the return label inside the box either. Next time if I order online, I have to put a note “don’t ship from the Stanford Shopping Center store”.

I've ordered from Nordstrom's a vew times.  Never a problem.  This time I purchased a dress for $118.00, more than I wanted to spend, but it was the only one I found that I liked.

Got the dress, tried it on, looked great. A week later I was trying it on again and noticed that the price tag was on it and the price was marked down from $118.00 to $66.90 (!@%##$!)

That's fifty dollars...what the?  I called and explained my horror and they explained to me that some stores may mark down and others may not and that's probably what happened but they adjusted my credit card the difference without any fuss.  The woman was very gracious.

God bless them.  We need more customer service like that.

One thing I will say about Nordy's...they stand by their claim that they will match any price you find on an identical item.  Their price for the North Face Denali Fleece Men's Jacket is $179.00.  I found it at the BackCountry.com for $85.99.  Clicked on the "Live Chat" link and asked the very nice SA if Nordy's would match the price.  She called me two minutes later, said yes and placed my order with a smile.  BRAVO!!!

I bougth at Nordstrom online the Mac hello kitty brushes , and another item  at day 12 , I waited and waited for an email with the shipping confirmation and tracking number wich I never got , so I use their live chat services where they give me an expected delivery date , so I first got the brushes set(about day 19 ) and 4 days later I 've got my other item , they charge me more in taxes then what the estimated said , and I think they charge me twice in shipping and handling ,and I 've got the rest of my items by 23. So I was very desappointed about the costumer service information, also the packing was very bad.

I turn to Nordies now and then for cosmetics and shoes, since I live in a rural part of Montana. Over the past five years my experience with Nordstrom.com has been less than ideal.

I find Nordstrom online service to be far less than what I experience in store. Shipping is VERY slow, and Nordies often opts to ship my parcels by DHL At Home, even to my commercial address, which then means that my parcel is delivered by DHL to the post office, and then delived a few days later. ALl this even though DHL drives through our commercial district almost daily. And I haven't yet found a way to communicate this to Nordstrom.

Overall, for cosmetics, if you know what you want, go ahead and order. But Sephora is much faster, and Zappos is the benchmark for service on shoes - selection and service both ROCK there.

Nordstrom splits pairs of shoes for patrons with medical mismatches (at least 2 size differences between feet). They send both pairs to patrons, patrons pick the 2 shoes needed and then send back the "extras" for free. They frequently offer free shipping with a certain amount of purchases and have friendly online and phone customer assistance. All returns can be taken directly to a Nordstroms store as well.

Nordstrom Online (Beauty Hotline, et all) has been excellent in all my dealings with them!! Everything is received as ordered and always in at least 3 days sooner than the disclaimer they issue with standard shipping. But then, of course- I have really never had any issues with Nordstrom anywhere as long as I have shopped with them (since 1989) in the Washington DC area. I would say that sometimes they hire PT workers who might not be as invested in the company and the "Nordstrom Way"- but if ever an issue comes up I know how to get it resolved to my satisfaction. You just bump up to the next higher level- manager; store manager; etc.....
Anyway- I love Nordstrom!!!They are the best!!

Nordstroms has almost anything you need to buy. They have a huge selection on clothes, make-up ,shoes and home supplies. They have a very helpful customer service team. The order accuracy and delivery speed were perfect. I was overall satisfied.

I loved Nordstroms online I have never had such a great time shopping online and have never seen so many great bargains. Shipping is speedy and the customer service is great. You can send returns back or take them back to any nordstroms store. I loved my online shopping experience with nordtroms.

I ordered three times from Nordstrom. The first time all the sizes were wrong and one dress looked like it was made from paper (poor quality material). The second time one item was suppose to be a child's shoe and a adult shoe was sent. When I contacted CS I was told sorry the child's shoe was out of stock (yes this was several weeks before Christmas and was suppose to be a gift). The final order was a coat that was marked down 15 minutes after I placed the order and called to followup to be sure it was in stock. I question the price difference and was told they would give it to me this time. That was a week and a half ago, I just received the coat yesterday, it smelled and looked worn... I'm done.

P.S. The price of the coat was not adjusted.
