I ordered a couple of things from MK--most of them came promptly, but the iron-on labels (which I do like a lot--they are good quality) did not. I wrote after 4 weeks and was told that they take 4-6 weeks to come and that they didn't have that shipping info as it was shipped by a subcontractor. I wrote at 6 weeks, on a Sunday, and received a response back that day that they'd shipped four days before. That should have been a tip-off that they were lying--their subcontractor is probably closed on Sundays.
Turns out they were actually postmarked 3 days AFTER my email.
It's bad enough that the labels were late, but lying about it is not a good way to keep customers.

Be prepared for them to mess up your order and not be willing to correct it. I ordered a bunch of Christmas ornaments and gifts. I waited two weeks for my items, and I was sent the wrong items and they messed up the personalization of some of the items. When i contacted customer service I was told me there was nothing they could do to fix it, but I could return the items a my expenses if I wanted a refund. What a waste of time and money. I will never ever order from them again.

I purchased a Double Garage Door Screen and a Mesh Door Screen. These screens have no way of securing them after use. Since I waited

I purchased 5 roll-out flowers and the Miles Kimball ad said they would come up quickly with abundant flowers. I quickly planted them and watered them as directed and only a few flowers came up. I waited several months to be fair. If I would have contacted them in 45-days I'm sure they would have said I didn't wait long enough for the flowers to bloom -- in 45 days only a few little sprouts had come up. When I contacted Miles Kimball they repeatedly quoted their 45-day return policy.
I don't think a real person read my emails -- it seems to be run by robots. They don't seem to care about customers or customer service. If you don't want to lose over $40, don't buy the roll-out flowers because they don't bloom. If they are going to sell inferior merchandise they should be willing to provide a replacement or refund when they receive customer complaints.
They should also be professional enough to read the email and provide a personalized response -- not a robot-like response that doesn't indicate any knowledge of the customer's problem.

I had a very good experience with Miles Kimball. I found a salt shaker I liked and ordered 50 sets for our restaurant. They were on sale for only $5 per pair! Two huge boxes arrived not long after. When I opened them up, I was horrified to see that the shakers were way too big for restaurant use, as I knew they were final sale. But when I wrote to the company asking if they could give me a partial refund, they offered me a full refund! So I got all my money back, just lost the cost of shipping them back. They were very nice and very responsive. I would certainly order from them again.

Because they offered free shipping, I ordered a "Slanted Seat Cushion" with "easticized cover. My order was processed and shipped promptly. However what I received was a slab of black foam with a flimsy piece of thin nylon with elastic around the edge that doesn't even cover the entire piece of foam. The "cover" looks more like a hairnet than a cushion cover. I am a seamstress, so I will make my own cover, but I don't think I'll order from MK again. They are fishing for the bottom on price and quality.

I do not reccomend to buy anything from this company. Their handling of an order is the slowest of any of the online companies I used before. Their products and prices are avarage the most. Their custumer service people are just simply incompetent.

My mom has ordered from Miles Kimball for years. They always seem to have some gadget or another that she just can't live without. Last fall we ordered two pairs of slippers that didn't fit at all. We returned them immediately, but four months later have yet to receive a credit or merchandise exchange. They basically ripped off an 80-year-old woman on a fixed income for the price of two pairs of slippers. We'll never order from them again!

I liked them in the past - ordered from Miles Kimball for 20 years. Recently, I returned new and unused items past the 45 day grace period. Without calling me or emailing me, they sent the items back refusing to even offer store credit. They have very pleasant people working in their customer service department, but even though I tried to reason with them, they refused to comply. Not ever, ever shopping there again, nor their affiliate, Walter Drake.

I was ordering an Audubon singing bird clock for the advertised price of $19.99. While I expect to pay shipping charges I was surprised to see that they added a "processing fee" of $1.99. I refuse to purchase from a company that is not upfront about extra charges. Consumers: Don't stand for this. If we all refuse to pay these extra charges, companies like Miles Kimball will be forced to play honest.

I ordered some hangers on June 13 (Monday) and they did not ship out the order until June 17 (Friday). I just received the order today on June 23 so it took 10 days for my order to arrive. I'm not very pleased with their shipping processing time.

I just received an order from Miles Kimball. Although the items were all there, the quality is very poor. I ordered some garden boots. They tore the first time I tried to put them on. The piece that tore off was approx. 6" x 7"! I also ordered some door screens. The mesh was so large that mosquitoes could go right through them! I also had to pay over $9.00 to return the boots when they cost less than that to begin with! I decided to return the door screens too, just to make it worth it. (sort-of)

I ordered an item as a Christmas present. Given that it was the week before Christmas, I paid for express 2-day shipping. Their website says orders are shipped within 48 hours, so I figured I should have my item within 4 business days. Of course, by Christmas it had not even shipped yet. I contacted customer service and was told that the item was not in stock, but a new supply had just come in and my order will be processed soon. I asked them why they showed an item on their website when it is not available - most online stores will not show an item that is not available, or at least will show it as "backordered". Their reply was that "my concern was valid and they would pass it on to the appropriate people." I am guessing this was just lip service.
As of this writing, it still has not shipped. I will not order from them again, and if I don't see my item ship in the next 24 hours, I will cancel the order and dispute any charge that shows up on my credit card.

I placed an order for candle-powered angel chimes, which they had on sale at a remarkably low price. I received an email confirmation that my order had been received, but some time later realized I had not received any notification that my order had been shipped. I did not create an account when I placed my order, so I had to call to find the order's status. I was informed that the item had gone out of stock, so they had canceled the order. That's a fact of business, and doesn't bother me: what bothers me is that they didn't notify me. They had my email address, because they sent confirmation of my order. Very aggravating.

I DO NOT recommend Miles Kimball at all. I placed an order with them on December 17th. I was hoping (but not expecting) that it would arrive for Christmas. I contaced them the day after Christmas to see when (or if!) my package had been shipped. They told me they had no record of my order. I received an email just a few minutes ago from them saying that due to a "supply issue" my order was cancelled! HORRIBLE customer service and terrible account keeping! F-!

I intended to buy a top from this website, until I got to the checkout and discovered they were going to charge over $25 to ship it to Canada!! As someone who does a great deal of online shopping from websites in the U.S. and overseas, I was shocked at the over-inflated shipping charge, and cancelled my order. Charging too much for shipping is a dishonest business practice, but still happens frequently on shopping websites.

When I put in my account information after ordering --it doesn't show me as a member or having an account, hence, I cannot track my orders.
I ordered several times from them. They're pretty good and delivery is good. I can't understand why their website never accepts an account from me and I always have to write their customer service to find out the status of my orders. They never give me an answer why that happens.
I know what I am doing and do 98% of my business on line and I know computers and how to put information in. heh it's not me, in other words, it is their site.

Extremely unprofessional. Poor customer service and failed to respond to numerous attempts to contact when trying to locate status of merchandise. Took 3 weeks to receive an item promised in 7-10 days. No apologies only a rude response to my final email attempt. Would not recommend. Very disappointed. Must be operated by amateurs. This is a great source for unusual household items and personalized items. The personalized items make memorable gifts and hostess gifts, especially if you are stationed overseas where personalized items are very expensive. Shop the clearance bin too-- you'll find some nice bargains here for party prizes etc.
