I bought a very expensive teakettle from JLHufford, and after 12 days the whistle no longer works and water goes all over stove when pouring. I was told there is a 10 DAY return on teakettles. I am out $155.00. No support from customer service.

I ordered a birthday gift for our daugher and needed to exchange for more expensive Blendtec and they REFUSED to exchange it for me.  I wanted a more expensive model and they would not let me exchange it because I was one day past the 30 days even though this was an after christmas birthday gift and the blentec was not taken out of the box.  I knew nothing about any 30-day time period.  This was a gift for my daughters birthday and the box hadn't been opened until her birthday. 

I emailed J. L. Hufford and was told I could not exchange this and they would not give an inch. What kind of company does this to their customers?

I do not recommend anyone buying from this company.  They are not customer friendly at all even though they think they are.  They were rude on the phone and even though this was a gift, I could not exchange it.  I wonder about all those who got christmas gifts from these people and how do they deal with them?

No, do not order from this company.  You will be sorry.

Earlier I wrote a scathing review of JL Hufford. I would gladly like to report that the issue was resolved and I am now in the ranks of satisfied repeat customers of JL Hufford. There were misunderstandings and lack of communications on both sides, but in the end the problem was resolved. Thanks JL Hufford.

" I purchased a Rancilio Rocky grinder from JL Hufford. The product is good, but this review is about how JL Hufford responded to my concerns. At first because of the way Rancilio packs and ships their products, I actually thought I was getting a used open box machine. However, it turns out, it is/was a factory issue. The tech staff at JL Hufford bent over backwards to both assure and accommodate me in satisfying my concerns. There was some issues I had with the grinder hopper and they (JL Hufford tech staff), took another hopper off another machine and shipped it out so I'd have it before the coming weekend. At first they actually offered me another machine, even though they didnt have to, but I only asked for another hopper. I have to say that after having a few unfortunate experiences doing business over the Internet you tend to become a little jaded. I paid $800 for a refurbished Jura Capresso F9 expresso machine and paid extra for expidited delivery.  The machine arrived broken, and non-functional. 

Update:

Exactly one week after the defective machine arrived, J.L. Hufford delivered a replacement, and promised to refund my shipping charge.  From my POV, the problem is communication. My first call to JL Hufford was placed 10:30 a.m. the morning after the first machine arrived.  I was told to expect a 2nd call with return instructions within two hours.  None came.  At 4:30 p.m. I called back and was told (with an attitude) that I needed to fill out an email form to initiate the return process.  Finally, the woman looked up my account and discovered that I called earlier and there was already a claim open. She then said I would recieve an email with a return label within an hour. None came.  The next day I wrote an email, which was answered the same day, promising a replacement machine in two days with a return label and a refund of my shipping charge. The machine arrived one week to the day after the first one.

Shipping is fast but customer service is a different story. I will avoid this store next time and use my local store instead since the espresso machine I purchased just not a good fit on on-line shopping. There are too many questions on machine itself that you really need very strong customer service/customer review to support it. The Delonghi Maginifica 3300 I ordered was not as good as other described in their review.  The espresso it made is not hot enough therefore has less flavor compare to the Saeco Royal I had in the office. And, the difference is a very wide margin not just a little bit. Web site has wrong product description on this machine listing it has three temperature controls but in reality it only has one. Customer service and their return policy just make it very difficult to replace with another Delonghi Perfecta 5400. So, I am just going to eat my lost and use a microwave to do rest of the work it suppose to do.

I ordered a Saeco coffee maker a few days ago and today the box was on my doorstep!  It came so fast I couldn't believe it!  I ordered online and am so very pleased at how quickly the order came.  Thanks!

Excellent selection and service. One of the only places around that has the Capresso Infinity grinder with stainless steel-colored plastic housing! Excellent customer service and order came with a surprise FREE 1/2 lb. bag of delicious house blend coffee!

This is the first purchase that I've made from JL Hufford and all I can say is there on the ball about processing your order fast and I mean fast within 36 hours of placing my order I had the order at my door step and it was package very well, this was free shipping to so I thought it may take some time to get it but I was very surprised. Great prices too!

I purchased a refubished Jura Capresso E8 from them. I was really skeptical because it was refurbished, but it saved me a lot of money from buying a new E8. It was totally worth it!! The machine looked brand new and has performed perfectly. I love the coffee it makes. Their special Superautomatika Blend coffee they included is awesome. I have already reorderded it several times. Highly recommend this company!

Looking for a Saeco Incanto Sirius Auto Expresso Machine and in comparing prices, several shopping web sites that state J.L. Hufford is a "featured store" show a different machine (brand and style) than the site advertising thus it comes up as the lowest price. They do have the item which is much more expensive comparable to other "featured stores." Does not give me confidence in this store even though rating is satisfactory.

Placed my order on the 11th of December. I got a call on the 12th to verify a shipping address. That's where the good experience stopped. I never got an email confirmation with a tracking number. On the 18th I left a voice message asking for an update. On the 19th I had to call back (since no return call) for the update. They could not give me a tracking number for atleast 24 more hours - (I'm sure I'll have to call back). It was explained to me that this is the holiday season... I was aware of that as this is the reason for this $600 purchase. I was told that I 'should' have it by Friday, the 22nd. I will update my review on Friday.

This is the third or fourth year that I have ordered from them and it has always been a positive experience. The product is the best decaf Chai anywhere!
