I purchases 4  dining room chairs and after 12 months ( 6  months past Horchows return policy) I got zero assistance in returning or refuning the price of the merchandise.  This is furniture that  lasted less than 1 year and sold for $200.00 per piece. I would strongly suggest that anyone thinkng about buying their merchandise think twice

Beautiful products, bad quality. No way to rate on their site to warn others. I bought a set for 16 of Jungle Jubilee dinnerware. (made in India). Claiming "dishwasher safe". Put the dishes in some water to soak off the extreme sticky tags, dishes got totally soaked on the inside, which dis-colored them, because the footing, or rem on the back of the dishes are not sealed. Bought a Red leather reclaimer for $2300.00 plus expensive shipping...beautiful, but sitting on it is like sitting on cement. What you are getting on Horchow is beautiful taste from various designers, but that is the "hook". You are paying dearly for it. Beautiful products, but the Quality in most cases...is so not good.

Ordered a Stratford coffee table for $2K. Shipping charges $350. Waited 2 months for the table, was extremely disappointed with the cheap quality of the table surface (has holes everywhere) so I called the same day to arrange for return shipping. Costs another $250.

Delivery service was bad beyond belief! We agreed on calling an hour beforehand so my husband can get off work but that didnt happen. And as if $350 isn't expensive enough, Sun Delivery James asked if it's okay to charge for another $35. ?! Table arrived and I asked, "It didn't come in a box?" They told me oh it was, but we took it out at the warehouse for inspection. After they left, I realized there a good coat of dust indicating that it's been sitting out for at least a month. Whatever the situation is, they shouldn't lie! 

$600 to realize you don't like a coffee table? I won't be ordering from Horchow again. Their shipping is a ripoff!

I ordered towels on sale on Friday.
I saw the sale was still on on Sunday.  The Horchow rep told me it was still on so I canceled my order to order more.
I called to order more and was told sale was over.  
I then contacted customer service.  Customer service rep argued with me about what I was seeing on their web site and did not honor what I saw.  She was extremely rude.

I recently purchased quite a few things from Horchow on-line.  Days later they advertised a free shipping plus 30% off sale.  I called to request the 30% off since I had purchased so recently and was informed that since I got free shipping on my original order, the 30% off would not be extended to me.   Even though I had spent $2,000 on their site in THIS economy!  Macy's, Bloomingdales & Nordstroms have excellent customer service practice....in the future I will take my business to one of them.  Boooo Horchow, you should hire courteous professionals to represent you in your customer service department.  Dealing with them is about as pleasant as having a root canal!

Be very careful we ordering from Horchow. My experience started in August when ordering a table for my wife for our anniversary on Nov 11th. They changed the ship date 4 times after the order was placed in August, September and October. I was told by a supervisor that it finally shipped November 4th. Then today November 18th I get a call from the shipping company to schedule a delivery date for the 27th of November and they told me it shipped the 16th of November NOT the 4th as the Horchow Customer Service Supervisor told me. Bottom line they lied to me. They have horrific customer service and do NOT live up to their commitments. I had to beg to get the shipping refunded $125. If I ever do get the table and it is nice I will be very surprised. Thats right over 3 months to get the item. Not Even close to our anniversary and not even in time for Thanksgiving. IT only shipped from NC to NJ should not take this long. I will NEVER order from Horchow again.

I purchased the entire Bellissimo bedroom furniture suite two years ago and it's already falling apart.  When I contacted Horchow I was informed that because the furniture was two years old they would not replace it or send somone out to fix it.  Horchow is a Neiman Marcus company and prides itself on quality merchandise and great customer service. I have yet to witness either! Their furniture is not worth the money they charge for it.

I bought 3 sets of "Vivre" dishes by Tracy Potter. Delivery speed was excellent, however, the product is lousy. It chips with extreme ease, customer service told me it was microwave safe, however, there is no microwave safe sign anywhere. Chipping is what bothers me most, feels like a total waste of money. I was hoping that 3 sets of dishes from Horchow would last a bit more then a year. I did contact customer service at Horchow. I was politely told that nothing can be done about plates that chip. I could have purchased 3 sets of dishes almost anywhere else and they would have fared better. Usually I give away my dishes in MINT condition after years of usage. Horchow is a dissapointment as far as the quality and the policy goes.

I placed an order for a substantial amount of monogrammed towels through Horchow recently.  When they arrived, the bath towels, hand towels, and face clothes were completely mismatched, as they had come from different dye lots.  I returned the merchandise (which was a painful experience in itself), and decided to give Horchow another chance, placing my order again.  Lo and behold, the next batch of towels had the same problem.  I will never buy anything from this company again.  What a waste of time!

Absolutely the worst customer service! They sent me the wrong rug, and refused to do anything out of their expense to send me the right rug overnight. Companies like this make me sick. It clearly stated on the packing slip that I was supposed to get a Sefavieh rug in Taupe and Blue, they sent me a rug in an Ivory and Brown color, and were extremely rude when I called to have the correct item sent. They did nothing out of their way to make me happy as a customer. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with them being ping ponged around their office, transfered to 6 different "supervisors," and didn't get a straight answer from anyone there. I can't believe that this company is in business.

If you order from Horchow be prepared to work for your purchase.  I ordered 2 bedroom sets in August, 2008.  The first one came with a broken handle on the armoire, but that was the least of my problems.  I found out they lost the second one after my second phone call to customer service.  They should have never found it.  It was cracked and falling apart.  It was not solid wood, but rather pressboard, but they charged as if it was solid wood.  They picked it up and I refused to have it replaced, so I was credited the amount of my purchase.  As for the broken handle on the armiore.  They just emailed me that they can not replace it because the vendor has discontinued making it.  She offered me $100.00 credit.  Now why would I want to order anything from them?!  They charge high end furniture prices for crappy products.

Beware you will not get what you order or the price that you order it. Customer service will not help you they will tell you one thing and do another. Charge you for the for items you never recieved. They will put you on hold and then hang up on you. You can get a supervisors name and they will never be in to assist you. The will eventually elevate to something they call executive services at neiman marcus which I have been waiting over a week to hear from. You will eventually have to call your credit card company to put the charges in disbute. This is the worst online experience I have ever had and will never shop with them again. Keep all paperwork so you can prove what you had agreed to pay.

This store makes "free shipping" offers "sitewide*", then adds excessive "additional shipping," and "delivery and processing" charges which no one seems able to justify. A customer care associate explained that this company uses the terms "shipping,"and "delivery" for the same process, but could not explain that if they were all the same thing, only "shipping" was free. Does $68.00 "delivery and processing charges" and "additional shipping charges" (which cannot be waived) seem excessive for an item which is offered at 129.00, and is being shipped within the continental US? Interestingly, This item was manufactured in the phillipines for far less what it would cost to make it in the US,and it seems this company would like to pass on the cost of its own shipping from a country with cheaper labor on to the American consumer. Greed, pure and simple.

I ordered a rosewood sleigh bed from Horchow. The men who delivered said they would not assemble the bed! I'm pretty handy with tools, and I had already disposed of my old bed, but, low and behold, ALL of the fastening hardware was missing!!! I called the shipper, they said they had no idea where the hardware was, so I called Horchow, they said they would send the hardware... a few days later I got two duplicate bags of the wrong hardware, I then tracked down the manufacturer of the bed in North Carolina, they sent the correct hardware, even though they said the bed had been discontinued. I assembled the bed and am happy with it... thumbs down to Horchow, two thumbs up to the bed manufacturer!!!

I am SO DISAPPOINTED with Horchow. First, five consecutive items have been damaged-all different items! If that wasn't enough, it took so long for any C.S. rep. to figure out how to re-order/re-ship the items-taking at least 30 minutes to figure out...not professional and courteous as you should expect. Second, after spending $9,000 on 2 chairs, a rug and small end table, the chairs were delivered and the fabric was awful-it was CANVAS!!! The table and rug have yet to be delivered although I have been charged on my c.card for two months and I still can't get an answer or returned phone call. Third, I ordered Christmas presents and gave them to my family and found out that the nutcracker candy dispenser doesn't work, and the photo album was monogrammed incorrectly (although the letters were in the right order on the receipt).

This has been a total disaster and I am so disappointed because I love the items as they appear in the catalog!

I would think twice b/f ordering anything.

I have been trying for over 3 months to get a bed from them. The first one I ordered showed it was available on their website. A week later they call to tell us it was discontinued. We place another order for a different bed. It was delivered 6 weeks later and was broken. We contacted Horchow and they said they would send another one and exchange it for the broken one. Three weeks later a truck comes to pickup the broken one. They do not have the replacement. 4 weeks later the delivery company shows up but they only have the headboard not the whole bed. This is my first and last dealing with Horchow. They can't get anything right. I have since purchased the bed elsewhere and I will not even consider doing business with Horchow again.

The only complaint I have is that I always have to sign for the package which makes it most difficult as I work and I like to have all packages delivered to my home. It is not necessary that I be here to accept the package. The last delivery had to be picked up from the post office and I work the same hours as the post office is open. Another time I had difficulty getting UPS to drop at my home. It took numerous phone calls to accomplish this. Very aggravating indeed.

I was impressed with the selection and the continued contact while my order was being processed. One of my items had to be back ordered but I received a letter stating that my shipment would be delayed so all was good.

Everyone has been extremely helpful when I've regarding questions. Quality of the products was excellent. I love the monogramming on all the products I've ordered. I would definately order again and have referred friends to the catalog when I've seen things I thought they would like or looking for.
