Booooooo.  Ordered a table for a Christmas party I was having.  Paid extra for shipping to have it here by 12/21 (party date of 12/22).  Now here I am sitting here on 12/23 with no table.  Awesome.  Went to WalMart to by a table to get us through.  Called customer service, and they said my options were for them to take back the table whenever it arrived or for me to just accept it.  DO NOT order for them as it appears they do not live up to their side of the deal and don't do anything about it when this happens.

I ordered a jewelry armoire for Christmas for my daughter, then got notice that it was backorderd.  Called several times, and each time the supplier (not Hayneedle) gave a different story.  But, the people at Hayneedle did a super job getting the order cleared, and shipped it overnight Fedex, no expense to me.  I don't know why others have had a bad experience with Hayneedle customer service, but I suspect a lot has to do with how you approach them....just like with anything else.

I bought 3 kitchen stools from Hayneedle. I paid over $700 a stool   They all broke within 6 months of receiving them. After going back and forth with the company, getting new ones, returning broken parts, they wouldn't help me after 366 days of owning the junk that they sold me!!!  Don't do business with this company!  The underlining problem is that this store buys its JUNK from China and then sells it to us!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. i ordered a kitkat bouquet, paid EXTRA for next day shipping, recieved the package FOUR days later and all the chocolate was MELTED. At first, i thought it was the shipping company. i called them and they pointed out to me that they were never notified of the contents of the package (nor was it labeled on the package) that it was next day shipping OR that it needed to be refridgerated. i called into customer service for Hayneedle and was told i would recieve a refund in the next five business days. fine. thank you. it has now been 11 business days, i still do not have my refund. i called into customer service and was told that it was up to my bank and no longer their problem. i will never be doing business with this company again. it's been nothing but a hassle.

I ordered a rock tumbler for a 163.00 dollars. hayneedle shipped me a lesser model that retails for 80, yet charged the same price. I called reference returning it but they suggested I sell the product on Craigslist. after reading the reviews I would have been better off keeping the product As I still have not gotten a refund. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

I ordered a "small arch top recessed medicine chest" from hayneedle. I was frantic because the previous one I had ordered from another company did not fit and the contractor was finishing up my bathroom renovation. The customer service rep at hayneedle could not have been nicer or more accommodating. AND the medicine chest is gorgeous and classy. And the inside is also a mirror. Love love love it!

I found a good patio umbrella on one of Hayneedle's websites and called Hayneedle.  I was told that paying $2.99 for FedEx ground it would arrive on 5/17.  The umbrella arrived 5/11 and is exactly what we wanted. I'm a happy customer.

Extremely disappointing. I spent $240.00 on outdoor curtains for my gazebo that were supposed to be uv resistant. I realize "Resistant" is a key word however 4 out of the 8 panels turned an ugly rust color from green halfway through the summer. When I e-mailed cust. service i rec'd a curt reply saying that they were sorry i was having issues but there was NOTHING they could do about it. I would NEVER purchase from this company again!

Very unhappy.  I ordered one item and they sent me the wrong item.  They tried to make me pay for the shipping to return and credit me for it.  After fighting with them, they agreed to pay for return shipping and credit my card.  They did not offer to send me the right item.  I will never order from them again, nor will I ever refer anyone to them!

I wish I had read the reviews prior to making a purchase at Hayneedle.com.  

Beware!  Hayneedle processes TWO transactions on your credit/bank card and does not reverse the 2nd transaction until a week has passed.  In my case, they held the money even after the product had been delivered! They held my money hostage and almost caused me to over-draft on my bank account.  

Customer Service was very responsive, but the explanation and reason for such an archaic (in terms of technology for online commerce) way of doing business made little sense.  I understand when a rental car company puts a hold on your account for securty, because IT'S A CAR, but to do that for what ended up being a basket full of crap is ridiculous.

It's easily the worst online shopping experience I've ever had.

I ordered a storage cabinet from Htaneedle.  Nothing on the website indicated that the product would be back ordered.  Instead it showed when the product would be shipped.

After 2 1/2 months and receiving emails syaing that shipment would be delayed several times, the product has not been shipped.  Yet, when I go to the website, the product shows that if ordered immediately, it would ship in a few days.

I buy a lot of products on online, and this is the unqualified worst company I have ever delt with.

Horrible customer service.  I spoke with no less than 5 people with 5 different answers and no satisfaction. They didn't respond to my PP claim and forced me to escalate the resolution. They charged me for a product I did not receive, after I called to tell them it was missing.  They then asked me to charge to my credit card for the same product (because they had no knowledge of the PP claims process) and they would credit my PP account, which they never did.  They told me on three occasions that the product I ordered was no longer being made.  I immediately ordered via Amazon and received two days later.  It took this company almost 10 days to finally return my money via PP. Don't do business with these morons. Don't know if they mean to lie, or are just incompetent, but I would stay far away.

I purchased four bar stools through Hayneedle. They provided the FedEx tracking number and link. Made it very easy to follow the merchandise. The bar stools came in as scheduled. I opened up one box and realized the bar stool was too tall. I needed shorter stools. I was introduced to "counter" stools. I called Hayneedle and they instructed me on how to return the bar stools. I did as instructed and ordered the counter stools. The counter stools came in before I shipped the bar stools back! I was very happy with the merchandise. I followed up on my refund and talked again to a representative. On both occurrances Hayneedle was extremely polite. I received my refund with no hassles. I would use Hayneedle again. I'm very pleased with the product and the service. I found the service top notch.

Placed an order for a Christmas present in November, and have been waiting 3 weeks for it to ship out.  I have been waiting weeks, I recieved a notice today that the order was cancelled.  They do not have the item in stock and just cancelled the order.  Instead of doing whatever they could to get it ordered, or letting me know so I could be shopping elsewhere- they just waited until now to tell me. 
I am not impressed with their customer service.  I am disappointed that they would list a product on the site they didn't actually have inventory of.  
I will, like many of the other posters, not be shopping with them again.

It was a waste of time. Never again I will order from this site. Bad customer service. I ordered a telescope and were cancelled three times without any email notifications. I have to check my order and came to find to out it was cancelled.  They blamed it on my cards billing info. It happened three times using two different cards? It's very ridiculous. I don't recommend this site.

This is what we originally received upon placing the order 10/25/12. ONE month later we have yet to have the desk. I would have to say this an utter and total failure on the company’s part in efficient processes. I don’t know how it is possible to keep customers happy when the shipping vendors you work with make errors and they are not willing to correct them.
I appreciate the customer service, but with the amount of negligence within the company,  I will not be using your services ever again.  I will make sure I post my experiences with Hayneedle.com on as many social internet sources as possible to ensure buyers can be aware of the potential issues with your shipping vendors. VERY UPSET.....Prior client who got 'coupon' which priced at the reduced amount and when went to pay, it jumped the price up.  When called customer service they stated that this item was precluded from the sale, and they couldn't help me.  What a waste of time!

I purchased a doghouse from Doghouses.com (a Hayneedle store).  The price was so much less for this name brand item than anywhere local or on the Internet.  I was especially skeptical when they offered free next day shipping if order was placed within a certain number of hours.  I paid for it using PayPal as I was a little concerned that I would have been putting my credit card number in on a non-encrypted page.  I ordered this item about 9AM on Wednesday.  Imagine my surprise when FedEx had this huge box on my deck by 11 AM Thursday!  Item is perfect and I'm still awed at the price and shipping.  Not only that, but my dogs, cat and I have had a great time playing in the big box!

This company billed me DOUBLE and shipped TWO 7-piece patio dining sets.  I had to pay to ship the duplicate set back before I could get refunded the nearly $1000 they owed me!!  Still waiting on the refund.....Would NEVER USE AGAIN!

I have made several purchases from Hayneedle.  They have always given me high quality products and exceptional customer service.  I am surprised by the other reviews and had to let people know that my experience with them has been excellent.

Horrible experience...Just ordered something for a gift for my nephew at college and they are shipping it to my attention instead of his...IT WILL NEVER GET THERE...on top of it, less than 20 minutes later after I specifically CHECKED AND DOUBLE CHECKED THE ADDRESS AND SHIP TO INFORMATION--The customer service (I say that lightly) rep told me as well as the LEAD customer service person that it was too late to change the name on the package and to stop it as well. 

They will charge me for the item, ship it and than have to hope that it gets refused by the college --I am not there so who knows who will take it and throw it to the side somewhere...and than they can refund me....
They are the most unfriendly company to do business with.  Ishop everywhere on the net and from now on this company will never see a stitch of my buisness.  HORRIBLE!!!  DO NOT SHOP HERE

Please stay away from these crooks!!! I ordered something, it never arrived... I called 2 weeks later to check on it and they claimed my bank declined the transaction. I asked why no one ever called me about it. They couldn't explain. This company is disgustingly shady. Their "supervisor" basically told me to shove it. BUYER! BEWARE!!
