I have used GiftTree.com three times. ALL three times I did not get what I ordered!!! They are very liberal with their substitutions. They substitute daisies for roses. The first two orders that were delivered were not close to what the picture nor what I paid for. The flowers were not even what I ordred. This last time, I ordered over a week in advance, and they did not have the vase and flowers available. I received this news late on a Friday afternoon for a Saturday delivery!! I did not have time to make changes. I was and still am furious!! I cancelled the order and am having trouble getting all of my money back!! Positively DO NOT USE this company!! I am so sorry I broke down and used this them time. My one wish--the CEO of this company orders from his company and is disappointed like I have been. My mother did not get the flower arrangement I wanted for her! Now I have to find another on short notice!! Horrible, Horrible, Horrible company!!

The week before Christmas I sent my dad a gift of cookies from the GiftTree.com. After I ordered them I read the horrible reviews of this company. I'm glad that I didn't let this change my mind. The cookies arrived at my dad's in 2 days in cheerful packaging. I tasted the cookies myself and they were really good. Also included in the package were some complimentary scissors to open the individualy wrapped cookies. Also I got a $10.00 off next purchase of $50 or more. I will definately use it! I'm sorry so many people were not satisfied with this company, but glad that I had a better experience!

If you're looking to send a gift basket to a special someone for an equally special occasion, I urge you - no, make that IMPLORE you - to spend your hard-earned dollars elsewhere. I placed an order for a gift basket for my friend's birthday three weeks ahead of schedule, specifically requesting an Oct. 5 delivery date. The highly incompetent folks at GiftTree.com scheduled it for an Oct. 8 delivery. Here's the problem: the delivery was meant to go to my friend's hotel room, and she was leaving on Oct. 7. GiftTree.com had the audacity to not take responsibility for their mistake, and to compound matters, they refused to give me a refund. What good is a gift basket going to an empty hotel room? I haven't the slightest idea how this company continues to stay in business, but I do hope, for all of our sakes, that they close up shop soon.

I ordered a gift basket from Gifttree.com for a company I worked with to be delivered 5/7/2012 in Boston. I asked for confirmation of delivery and was emailed back that I could not find out until 5/15/12. When I did not get a thank you from the company after a week I contacted them only to find out they never received it. I contactted GiftTree only to find out "they totally screwed up" and it would be delivered 5/15. They stated that they would make the basket bigger and refund my delivery charge. I guess they think this makes up for the loss of the surprise and happiness that was involved in sending this basket. They just dont get the disappointment such poor service provides. I will never ever use this company again and encourage others to use local vendors.

I was very disappointed in this company. I ordered flowers for my aunt's funeral. Same day delivery was promised, yet no flowers ever arrived. I was notified by email on the morning of the funeral. I will never do business with this company again. Stay away!

ruined my grandmothers birthday..delivered the wrong basket... forgot to include the wine/ Happy Birthday Balloons?teddy Bear..told me i ordered something i didnt the sales reps were rude yawning on the phone putting me on hold forever finnally hanging up and not returning my calls...If u order from this company your stupid...now they r telling me i cant post this complaint because it isnt long enough...what a nightmare..they respond by emails saying you are a frustrated customer and you wanted balloons id be very happy to take this company to court now that i see alot of other people had similar or worse problems...where is the headquarters..nobody cares at this place good luck!!

Gift Tree offeres online gift delivery. I ordered an Easter Basket as pictured and described that was to have a large Easter basket, chocolate bunny, Easter candies, and chocolate bars in addition to grapes, apples, pears, oranges and bananas. What was delivered was merely a fruit basket with apples, oranges and bananas. No Chocolate, No Easter Treats, No pears or grapes. When I contacted them, they wanted me to send them a picture of what was delivered, which of course, I did not have. This was classic Bait and Switch!

What a disaster. I ordered balloons for a new baby to be delivered on Saturday, Feb. 11th. I received a call from the local florist confirming the address and saying the arrangement would be delivered after 3:30. At 5:00 I tried to reach the local florist but only got voice mail. I left a message but did not receive a return call. I then called GiftTree and was told the arrangement would definitely still be delivered that day. At 7:00 I repeated the call to the local florist (voice mail only, left another unreturned message) and again called GiftTree. This time I was told "of course the delivery would not be made that day as the local shop was closed". I cancelled the order and asked for a refund. The following morning I got a call from the local delivery person confirming the address - which was wrong although on my online order it is correct. No apologies from the local or gift tree. I would never use them again.

In a word, horrible. My husband ordered Valentine's flowers to be delivered on Valentine's Day. At 4:00 pm, on Valentines' Day, he receives a call informing him "they cannot complete the order." Really? Instead of cancelling the purchase without debiting our account, they processed the payment. After speaking to a customer service representative, we were informed that we would have to wait 5-10 business days to receive our refund. Needless to say, we are very unsatisfied customers. I have worked in the banking industry and the currently in the legal field. You can possibly bluff another customer on the procedures, but not me. They had the choice of not processing the charge with the authorization code. They did so anyway. I'll wait the required time to see if we get our refund before taking additional action.

placed an order online for Valentines Day delivery of flowers for my sweetie. Then, on Valentines Day at 11:11 AM I recieve an Email that they are very sorry but will be unable to complete delivery on Valentines Day. But they will be happy to deliver it tomorrow with an apology.......What good is this!? the entire point is that they be delivered ON Valentines Day. When I called their customer service line I waited for over 20 mins, then when i had the nerve to be upset at the situation the rep hung up on me. Have used them before in the past, will never use them OR ANY florist associated with them.

Very, very disappointed. Even though the fine print says no delivery date guarantee it was implied when they charged my card last week for a delivery today. I received an email message today at 10:30 advising that they couldn't deliver today but could tomorrow. Today is Valentine's Day Idiots!!!!!

Problem #1: When order was placed the website said the floral arrangement would be delivered the same day. It was not delivered until the following day.
Problem #2: Very amateur job with the arrangement, not a pretty presentation. Looks nothing like photo on website.
Problem # 3: Cute colorful festive container shown in photo on website. What arrived? Disposable container wrapped in florist paper tied with a cheap bow. Terrible!
Problem #4: They say if there is a problem to notify customer service immediatley. Well, I did & guess what? They took my info but said that someone would need to get back to me because no one was available to take my call. I tried the "Live Chat" & it should be named "Dead Chat"- it doesn't work!
So I guess I'll be making a call to my credit card company!
My advice- Stay away!!!

Ordered two Christmas bouquets on the 19th of December to be delivered to two friends not a mile and a half apart. Imagine my suprise when on Christmas day neither friend had received their gifted flowers with the light up winter village in the center. Both friends had of course sent me presents so there I was looking like a fool with nothing to offer in return.
I just called gift tree who informed me that they will have to confirm that they were not in fact received. Sooooooo, I eplained that the cheescake and the champagne with flutes had arrived at two other friends homes but I'm going to lie about two bouquets of flowers? Intended or not it was insulting.
Doesn't matter. They were not helpful in the least. Telling me to call back tomorrow and they would start investigating. I'd have done better to just call the florist myself!!!
I thought I'd found a terrific resource for gift buying with ease on the internet...which has proved to be a time consuming source of disappointment and aggrivation instead. Don't walk, RUN from this website unless a 50% success rate is good enough for you!

I was also hesitant to use the service, due to negative reviews, but the gifts looked so wonderful, and pricing is excellent, I thought it wouldn't hurt to try. I am so glad that I made that choice because the 1st gift I ordered was in March, it was delivered a day early, and the recipient said the quality was A+. Since then I have placed 4 more orders, and plan to continue using their service. The personalized gifts are amazing, and the prices - even the shipping costs are hard to beat.
I think there are some bitter people out there who exagerate their experiences, especially about delivery times, because every order I have placed, it clearly says ESTIMATED delivery date. GiftTree also sends the FedEx tracking number, and even the FedEx page clearly states ESTIMATED delivery date.

I was influenced by the very negative reports I read. So when Gifttree wrote that they had been unable to deliver I suspected the worst and wrote them very upset, and I admit rude.

I've used this company several times since my first order at Christmas. They've always done a good job. Recently they were a huge help when I entered an incorrect address. I think other sites would have just sent it without checking. Recipients are always happy.

I was shopping for a sympathy gift. I really was impressed by the wine baskets displayed online. I entered my order only to find out that the specific basket could not be delieverd in my state. However the baskets that appeared on the same page as this mesage could be. No big deal. I then placed my order, paid, and thought all was taken care of. My order was to be delievered Tues. but was not because the company delievering has no liquor license. I agreed to let them substitute the wine so the basket would make it on time. Today is Thursday and still no basket. Really? What happend to the days of customer service? Once they have your money they feel as if they can just jack you around. I would never reccommend you purchase anything from this company.

Extremely disappointed. Placed an order for Mother's Day to be delivered on the Friday before. Friday came and went..no delivery. Sat same thing. Monday following Mother's Day I began calling. "We need to contact our delivery service. We'll call you" No call Monday. Called back Tuesday..same story "We'll call you" Called back Wed same story etc. No explanation, no offers to make things right. Basically nothing in the way of customer service. I realize Mother's Day is probably the busiest day of the year for this type of company but since that's their business I would expect them to know it as well and be prepared. My first and last experience with Gift Tree.com was horrible. I placed an order for a flower arrangement and candy. Total cost was 66.00. I was promised delivery on 5/7. The flowers and candy were delivered on 5/8 (1 day late)by a nasty, dirty looking person. The arrangement was extremely small with dying flowers and the candy was soaking wet. I called the florist contracted by Gift Tree to complain about the candy and flowers, they hung up on me! I emailed Gift Tree and was ignored for 4 days. I threatened legal action and they responded. Another 3 days went by with no resolution and I threatened again. Gift Tree finally offered to credit me for the candy and offered a 10.00 gift cert. I refused the offer and contacted my credit card provider to dispute the charge. Buyer beware-Gift Tree promises 100% satisfaction, but does not come close to delivering. I will never buy anything from them again.

Very good service and products. When the merchant was unable to execute delivery to the intended recipient, they called to ask for more information and at my request directly contacted the intended recipient to work out details for delivery. Very helpful. Good follow through.
