I tried to exchange a leotard that I purchased for my niece's 3rd birthday. When I purchased the leotard the item was on back order for 3 weeks, then I received an email saying that it was back ordered for 4-5 weeks, and then it did not arrive until 2 weeks after. I waited a total of 7 weeks for this to be delivered. Not only did my niece not have this present ready to open on her birthday, but once she put it on, she noticed that the left leg of the leotard was fraying. I called Customer Service and they would not exchange the item because it was passed their 60-day return policy. The 60 days was their fault! The supervisor would not allow me to exchange the leotard either. They offered me a 10% discount towards my next purchase. That will never happen! I will never use Dancewear Solutions ever again nor recommend them to anyone. Very disappointed and truly amazed at the lack of customer service this company has. What a shame.

Horrible customer service. I paid $20 for 2nd day air shipping because I needed it here on time for my daughter's ballet class. I only received a confirmation email, no tracking number or notification on any delays. I called on the day I expected the package (after 2 business days) and the rude rep told me the order hasn't even been shipped out yet. Worse, it won't be shipped out until the monday after!!! She claimed it was stated on the website (perhaps in fine print because I didn't see any notices) and my daughter had nothing to wear for her ballet class. I cancelled the order and had to run to a local store to buy it last minute. I was very upset but still managed to say 'thank you' before hanging up. The rep rudely replied 'uh huh.' No I'm sorry's, no thank you's, just an indifferent 'uh huh.' I would never shop here again. WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER.

Several items in the order that I placed were on backorder. A couple of them were backordered after I placed the order, so I was unaware that they had been backordered. A week after the latest backorder date I called to check on order and they informed me that they hadnt shipped out several items because they were waiting on 1 item and it would not be in for several more weeks. I was upset because I needed the items for a dance recital. They were not very apologetic stating that backordered items are not guaranteed. I asked for a return label so that I could ship back parts of the order that went with the costumes that didn't come in and they said they don't supply those.

I had an awful experience with Dancewear Solutions. I placed one large order with Dancewear solutions and they sent me five different invoices. They continued to charge my card for several weeks. But I never even got the correct items. I called several times over a few weeks, then once a day for 8 days in a row and left a voicemail each day. Sometimes I would wait on hold for 45 minutes before deciding to leave a voicemail. I never got a call back. My dance team had to perform at a dance competition with team members wearing only pieces of the costume because I never received the complete order. I was overcharged and never got all my items. I'm still waiting for them to call me back and my order was placed to months ago and my first call to them was last month. Maybe now, with this review, they will actually call me back.
Dancewear Solutions sells items that you can find elsewhere online and in catalogs such as Discount Dance Supply. I will never order from Dancewear again. They do not seem to have customer service support.

I placed an order with this company 12/13/10 and fully expected it to arrive by Christmas. When I called on the 23rd to see where it was they informed me that it was sitting in their shipping department. They offered no explanation and said they could not change, cancel or discount the order at all. My only recourse would be to refuse the package when it arrived - which they promised would be by 12/28/10. Today, 1/7/11 it still has not shipped and the pending charge on my credit card is gone. Did they cancel my order without informing me? I can't get any straight answers - customer service is terrible. Shipping - well - not existent yet - BUYER BEWARE!!!
UPDATE - 1/17/11. After several email responses that verify no one has any idea what is going on at this company, I was told that my order was placed and would ship shortly. Apparently "shortly" means days, weeks or maybe never... I called today and was told "there was no record of any of this". Two supervisors later (and an apology! thank you!) my order is slated to ship! Since I've heard this before I'm not holding my breath.....

I just ordered from Dancewear Solutions and am sooo happy with the dancewear I received. I ordered several really cute leotards, and a couple of camisole tops for my daughter who has been doing ballet for 5 years. Two of the leotards were a little bit smaller than she wanted. I called customer service and spoke to a very friendly woman that told me I could send back the two leotards for no additional charge. There was no restocking fee, which some people have reported. I don't know if they changed their policy or what. I did pay 6.00 to have the new leotards sent to me but I think that is resonable and is standard for most companies when returning merchandise. Overall their products were very well made and reasonably priced. I know I wouldn't have been able to find them anywhere else and for the price, I was VERY happy. I would definetly recommend their dancewear and dance leotards to anyone that want fashion forward dancewear at a great price.

Do not order from this company, they rip people off. They charged me return shipping on an item that was missing pieces. Be aware they also charge a $6 restocking fee on returns on top of return postage cost. AVOID!
