Absolutely the worst online buying experience I have ever had. I ordered a set of bunk beds, they arrived but the staircase was damaged and their were a few minor things on on the bunks themselves. A call to customer service, was just a run around- I sent pictures and was assured I would receive a refund worth my time as I had repaired some of the damage and decided I could live with the scratches if they would discount the price. It's been 4 weeks and no one has returned calls or emails. Absolutely do not buy from this company.

Don’t buy from CYMAX. It’s total rip-off. I ordered online the bed for my daughter for $325 + pencil box as filler to qualify for a discount. The pencil box came broken. Filed the replacement - still waiting – no answer. Got the call for delivery of the bed – business time only. I took the day off in order to receive and assemble it. The bed did not arrive. When I called the CYMAX spending more than 40 minutes on phone, they told me that the shipping company will contact me in a week after and reschedule the delivery!!!! No apologies or explanation. When I tried to return, the rep spent 10 minutes on the phone (after 30 minutes waiting again) not to do it because of “restocking fee”. He told me that I will receive RMA paperwork in 3-5 business days. 3-5 days just to file return!!!! Gr-rrrrrr. Never deal with this company again.

Please listen to the people who have had issues.  Won't go into detail, but pretty much the same experience.

I'm in the middle of it right now and getting the run around.  They are the worst online company I have ever dealt with.

Buyer Beware!

PS  They don't make any furniture and are just a middle man, so if the product quality is bad, it's the manufacturer, not them.

I was in desperate need of a desk at my salon. I ordered a desk on Monday, the day hurricane Sandy was in full force. After ordering, I read all the negative reviews. needless to say, I freaked. It turned out there was no need, the desk arrived 3 days later! Yes, the box was dented and had serious scratches on it but the desk was so well packed that there wasn't a scratch on it. It was easy to assemble and looks great! Thanks Cymax!

Customer service a little too helpful. Never ordered only put things in my cart and did not complete financial info for purchase. I needed to "think about it". 3 days later they email me to remind me I haven't given payment info. This has NEVER happened to me with any other online retailer.

THE.WORST.CUSTOMER.SERVICE.EVER!!

I ordered a simple 3-drawer filing cabinet from them.

The warehouse called me two days after the order was placed to inform me of the shipping date....it never came.

They called again the next week to inform me of the shipping...I then told them to keep it as we found something else instead and asked for my refund.

Now here's the funny part of this story....the cabinet was $299 but after being charged with restocking fee, outgoing shipping fee AND back to warehouse shipping fee ...my refund would be $37...I'll wait until you're done laughing....and the manager had the audacity to tell me, the customer, that it was my fault for not reading the "fine  line" meanwhile, I'm telling him that the product is not in my possession and that they were a week late with delivery.   He even started negotiating the refund with me...can you believe that?!?

Never again!

When the package arrived the bottoms of the drawers were missing. We placed a call and have yet to receive the pieces I need. I had ordered from them in the past, but won't be ordering from them again. I am very disappointed. The chest of drawers cost me $150.

Do not buy stuff from cymax.com. They have the worst consumers' support system. Whenever I connected to talk to them, what they do is "only" apologizing. What I would need is not "only" apologizing, but my correct item delivered ! For your sake, never never buy anything from cymax.com

I did not order a lot from Cymax but they were good.  I got my furniture on time and it was easy to talk to the customer service department.  My experience with Cymax has been fine.  They are a big company with a HUGE selection and they have good prices.

I placed my order on May 26th, today is June 29th and I have not received my order. Have called 4 times and each time I have been given a different story as to why my merchandise has not arrived. Today I requested a refund and was told that I can not have a refund as my merchandise "shipped at the beginning of the month" and that Cymax needs to "track" said merchandise to find out where it is. Last week I was told that the "distributer did not receive my order" from Cymax, but my order was now correctly submitted and I would be receiving e-mail confirmation of shipment. Cymax keeps promising to e-mail me with the results of their "investigations"-I have not received a single e-mail.

VERY poor instruction on how to piy togetrhe the screws and connection was not laber or put in a seprate bag, took and extra two hours trying to figure ouy how to put together. Poor shipping crate which resulted in damage doing shipping, it was replace in a timley manner but as there was two package in the shipping did not opne both until I could put together so took an extra two week before could use tge product.

The merchandise was very good quality! The product arrived ahead of schedule-I was thrilled about that. I was concerned when it arrived both end of the box look like they had been dropped (they were slightly hanging open)I was hoping that the ends of the dresser were not damaged. Unfortunately the corners were slightly damaged. My husband had started to assemble it to surprise me otherwise I would have called to send it back. Everything else was fantastic and would defintely use Cymax again to purchase items-great quality for great price-just need more packing on corners in case delivery company drops product. Thanks!

I was very satisfied; however, I wish the plugs that hid the bolts of the chair were sturdier instead of thin plastic. I chipped one when I tapped it into the hole. Otherwise, I love the chair, & it's very comfortable.

Picture showed wood areas much better than they really look wood areas are really cheap looking. one of the wooden arms is split and I have to fill out a form take a picture submit and hopefully it will be replaced considering returning whole thing

This was the most horrible experience I ever had. Tried to cancel my order because of a long time of shipment . Called customer Service over 5 times spoke to managers was placed on hold for a hour and 1/2 hours the other 4 times I called. The assistance is rood and and poor customer service including the managers.
