Purchased new computer with a free windows7 upgrade. Transaction and delivery of product excellent. However, nothing was mentioned that the free windows7 upgrade would cost $17.03 in shipping and handling fees. Also since I didn't register my computer, Lenovo couldn't contact me to give me the upgrade. I did not know this, so I contacted Circuit City.com twice by email with no responses and then twice by phone without response. On the 3rd call, I was told the manufacturer handles this. They gave me the phone number to call which wasn't even the manufacturers number. It was a reseller of their products. No explanation was offered as to why emails and phone calls were ignored. Finally did contact the manufacture and straighten it out.

Two Miserable experiences: one DOA Netbook and one Desktop placed on Back-Order and they never even bothered to tell (and they would release credit card authorization I to make the purchase)...........had file a complaint thru my bank.

I ordered and paid for Sony SP81000 speakers the first day of the sale. The store had just opened for business Sunday morning at 11:00 am on Oct. 19 . After indicating that the speakers were in the store and wasting my time, I asked to speak to the manager. The manager said to stop buy Tuesday and she would
have the speakers. Wasted that trip and another on Wednesday.
Canceled the order at the Circuit City store on Rte 9 north Freehold NJ and would not buy anything on line from Circuit City.
These are small inexpensive bookshelf speakers but I am interested in large HD LCD TVs and other electronic products. From the sloppy customer service I would be hesitant, to say the least, to make any purchase from this company. Price is important but not the only thing. Customer service, reliability, dependability etc. are
so important that I would shop else where even if the price is somewhat more expensive.

Ordered the new ITouch and an ITunes card online. Paid for expedited shipping. One box arrived, one didn't. Fed Ex has acknowledged to me and Circuit City they lost the second box.
Circuit City won't do anything. Endless calls have produced no results. I'm sure my credit card company will get the money back, but we shouldn't have to resort to that.

Don't be fooled. Circuit City's stock is below $2 a share and their customer service has taken a nose dive. The free shipping on the website is not honored and the personnel in the store are not trained to help customers with defective merchandise. At the store in Round Rock, Tx, the personnel answering the phones will give bogus names of managers. IF you can reach corporate offices, dispute credit card payments, and contact the Better Business Bureau, you MIGHT get a return phone call.

I am not satisfied at all. I ordered a PSP for a friend for his birthday and since it was over $200 there was an option of free shipping and I chose that. And till this day he has not recieved it. It is very upsetting to know that circuit city offers free shipping but there's no guarantee that the package will ever get to it's destination. and to top of my purchasing experience with this company every time i called i got disconnected finally after the 8th time i called i got to talk to the supervisor who could not help me with anything but to refund me for the package. But other than that they were no help at all and very rude on top of it!!! I still hvnt recieved my refund and i'm afraid to purchase it again from someone else what if i never get the money back from these people!!!...I hope i get my money back but this made me look really bad in front of my friends and wasted my time on top of it!!! This was an extremely bad experience and I will never purchase anything on their website again!!!

Almost a month ago I ordered Philips DVP-5140 DVD Player from CircuitCity.com and it was my worst shopping experience online ever because I have never received the item. Customer service representatives, who I called many times, were not helpful at all. All I heard, was "Call in a few days, and we will issue refund, or send you another item". But when I called them again in a few days, I heard the same thing, and nobody was willing to investigate an issue, send another item, or issue refund. When I requested to speak with supervisor, I was transferred to another customer service representative, more aggressive and rude, who denied my request and actually cut me off! She didn't want even to listen to me! Representatives don't allow you to speak with supervisors, saying that supervisors are very busy talking to other customers! Needless to say, I am not going to shop with CircuitCity anymore.

I purchased a 3-year Advantage Protection Plan warranty for a laptop, and tried to use it. I found that the plan I had unfortunately paid for has so many, many restrictions and exclusions that it was useless in my opinion. I had no abuse or accidental damage, only wear and tear, but that made no difference.
I used to shop there, but after this experience, I started to check around and found lots of people have had the same problems. It taught me a lesson. I have had many experiences with stores whose policy is "If it breaks during the warranty period, we'll repair or replace it", not "Did you read the tiny type before you bought this? No -- tooooo bad!"
I feel like a real sucker. But it won't happen again.
