No question CB2 carries items that are unique and hip. However, be prepared to wait for them! I ordered some bath accessories last month; their website clearly said the items were in stock. But it took eleven days JUST for the items to leave their warehouse! The Pony Express could have gotten it here faster.

I emailed customer service to politely comment that I was a bit disappointed. They did reply within 24 hours (a definite plus in my book), but their email was fairly dismissive. They didn't apologize, just pointed out that they feel their ship times are very competitive with other companies. (Not true, by the way. I ordered from several other websites that same day and had my items long before these arrived).

They also felt compelled to explain that my order shipped on "the seventh business day." As if I -- the dumb customer -- just needed the difference between business and non-business days explained to me. Please.

Overall not a stellar experience. But I do love my bath accessories.

Delivery policy in Manhattan is a joke. It's like dealing with the cable company. They tell YOU when they will deliver it and only tell you this 2 days in advance. If you can't be home at the time that THEY choose then you have to re-schedule and you're charged $35 for this privledge. I finally cancelled my order. They refuse to delver on Sundays or Mondays and won't deliver on the Upper West Side on any date in the afternoon because it messes up their "route". They wouldn't even deliver it to the store and allow me to pick it up (at my expense). Nice way to do business.

I was very, very pleasantly surprised (stunned, actually) at the quality of merchandise I received from CB2. The "Ada Table Lamp" was just as pictured, but very heavy and sturdy, extremely well made and definitely a bargain at $60. Not the plastic-y chotscke I thought it might be! The packaging blew me away as well. Not only was it nestled snuggly in foam and tightly packed in a box, but that box was wrapped in plastic bubbles inside another box. I thought it the "Peekaboo Clear Console" would be a fairly thin and wobbly piece. Actually, it's very sturdy and much more durable and well-made than expected. Very thick lucite, it's a real piece of furniture. Weighs a ton! Overall CB2s quality was way better than what I expected from their price-points and their website's look & feel. Definitely NOT comparable to Ikea or even West Elm, as I had assumed, but far, far better quality.
