There was a 6 USD charge for shipping that didn't show up until you had entered your payment details. At that time, you had already put so much time into the shopping procedure that it wasn't worth canceling the process even if it would have made you choose another site with cheaper shipping rates.

I remembered being advised that a company's return policy is related to the quality of their product and Cabelas does so quite well!

Over the past 10 years I've frequented both their retail outlets as well as their online store.  Each and every transaction has been wonderful.  Quality products at a fair price!  What more can you ask for?!

Shipping has always been quick and well packaged.

Of thousands of dollars in purchases I've had only 1 bad product.  A waterproof pair of boots that leaked.  I brought them in all muddy from the job site adn they gave a cash refund on the spot with no stress!

almost everything about my experience with Cabela's has been negative.  ordering, product quality, and their customer service...it's the worst i've ever encountered from a retailer.  i'll never order from them again.

I have ordered many item through the Cabelas website in the past and have never had a problem with their getting the order wrong, speed of processing or delivery. Now we have a Cabelas store close to me in Glendale Arizona, so most of my shopping is done at the store, which is an experience in itself. I bought a vacuum sealer and after 2 years it developed a problem and much to my surprise, they gave me a new one, even though the warranty was for a year.

I have always loved Cabela's.  However, the last few orders were processed very slowly.  The UPS shipping is not the issue, it is the time it takes to get out of the warehouse.  I would choose faster shipping (UPS), but it wouldn't do any good because orders don't get processed for many days.  I kept hoping that the past orders were simply isolated cases.  Unfortunately, I now believe that is not the case.  As much as I love Cabela's selection and people, I'm going to use other vendors in the future.  I'm never in a really big hurry as I always research and plan.  However, even if I were sleeping I'd be moving faster than Cabela's order processing.

Goosedown jacket is very warm and comfortable.  Second best I've ever owned in my 62 years.  I live in Maine so the delivery was very fast and with great service.  After thinking about it, it's the BEST jacket I've ever owned!
I've always been impressed with this store because of the quality of products and service.
P.S. Cabela's paid me $20 bucks to say that!  LOL...

I ordered a replacement shotgun barrel online with Cabela's on 11/13/2010.  Their site "timed out" on me so I called to make sure the order went through.  The customer service asked if I ordered 2 barrels and I said no and they said they would cancel one of the orders.  Cabela's still sent both barrels and charged me for both.  When the "extra" barrel arrived I refused it and it was sent back to Cabela's and they received it back on 11/22/2010.  After numerous phone calls to a Supervisor I still have not received a full credit back as of 12/15/2010.   They did send me a 10% credit of $26.91 out of a full charge of $269.10 (How does that happen?).  The barrel that I did accept was scratched up due to the extra chokes and choke key rattling in the box and had to return it for exchange.  Only to recieve the second one still slightly nicked up.  The excuse I kept on getting from customer service on the initial order and credit back is because they are having problems with their "new programming".  Don't buy from Cabela's. 

Cancelled an order by speaking to two differant people, one was a supposed supervisor. They shipped the order anyway. If this is an outfitting store, it has to be the worst outfitting store on the planet!

Returned a jacket that was to small on 10/11/2010. It was received on 10/14/2010. As of November 2, 2010 I still have not received my refund. Contacted Cabela's and they claim it took 11 days to process return. That it will take about another 10 business days to process my refund. Plus they took out the shipping charges for them sending it to me, and the return. This amounts to over $16.00. Beware, when calling customer service you get no where.

I Purchased an Innotek GS 3500 Remote Dog Trainer on October 13 2007 for $130.00 It Stopped Working about one Year Later. The Cabela's Box That it Came in said Limited Liftime Warranty. I Called Innotek and it was Discontinued when I Purchased it, They Would Not Honor Their Warranty and wanted to Sell Me Anouther for More Than I Spent the First Time. I have ordered many times from Cabela's.  The pricing is not the greatest much of the time, but it is always very good quality.  I also appreciate the great selection they have in fly fishing gear that is always hard to find locally.  I was pleasantly surprised after buying a pair of Cabela's branded Waders and Felt Shoes.  Both have been great, even though I was reluctant to buy because of sizing and fit concerns.  There was enough info on the site for me to figure out what size to order and it worked out great.  I have never had to return anything, so I am unaware of those hassles.

I ordered an Adidas wind pant thru the Cabela's website.  The pants were on sale for $19.99!  Prompt shipping, good communication, absolutely no problems encountered.  I'm very happy with my purchase.  Service was excellent.  Highly recommend.

It has now been 4 days and my order has still not been processed. I hope that when i finally get the product I ordered it will make up for the time it took them to eventually ship it.

Don't use instore pickup when ordering online!!! I ordered and purchased item on the 22nd of Feb. It wasn't processed until Feb 27th. I still haven't received my purchase and its Mar 6th. Customer service is worthless. I have contacted customer service 3 times, once by email and twice by phone and they truly don't care. They can not track order and would not refund me my money. I was told "if they ever come in I could return them." Do not use instore pickup when you order online!

Cabela's sucks. I called them on the phone when I made the order and asked what if they don't fit? They said that I could return the jeans for a full refund if it didn't fit, and that I could just use the prepaid packing slip to send them back. But when I returned it, they did NOT refund me the original shipping and they took out the cost of shipping it back too, so I ended up $14 in the hole. I will NEVER shop with them again. They hung up on me when I called to complain!

I ordered a Moultrie 5 camera on line for $149. A week later it was advertised for $99. We called the store and they refused to issue a price adjustment unless we drove 60 miles to return the camera and rebuy it at the sale price. I e-mailed them about this issue and did not receive a reply.

Cabela's online store is easy and fun. They have so much stuff. It is easy to find exactly what I need by using the categories or even the search option. The prices are decent and the shipping has always been very fast and comparable to others. Their products can't be beat. I should just sign half my paycheck over to Cabela's every month. I purchase a lot of hard to find items from them. I a local store doesn't have what I'm looking for Cabela's usually does and at a decent price. Customer service is second to none and If you get a chance to go to one of there stores it's like disney land for hunter and fishermen. Shipping is usualy prompt and often much faster than I have expected. I have only ever had one small problem and it was handles quickly and to my satisfaction. This is great considering I have literally spent thousands at this store.

Very fast delivery. Ordered on Saturday, UPS Ground, promised in 7 days and it arrived on Thursday (4 days). Well packaged for shipping. It's companies like these who do it so well you don't need to call customer service. That's the reason I shop on-line.
