After many times with the on line chats and phone call WITH OUT LUCK I WAS ABLE TO GET WHAT WAS OWED TO ME.I do not think I will want to do business with your company again. The phone calls a lone TURN ME OFF.

I communicated with a sales rep through the chat online process, she confirmed the lights pictured, three lights, were included in the total price. When I received my order only one light arrived. There are other merchants selling the same three lights for a similar price.

Scammers!!!
They showed items in stock and confirmed this during a follow up call, took my money and it tooks days of follow up calls and emails to find out that did NOT have the items in stock. They evaded answering any of my specific questions about availability and timeframe of shipment for several days. Calls were also routed out of country(lousy english skills). Do not spend any money with these bait and switch scammers!

1)Was pleased with the refund on the order! ***** 2)Having to deal with overseas phone support was poor. The agents read from their canned responses, usually can't understand thru language difficulties and can't impact order process in a timely manner because they are communicateing by email with decision makers in the US. We need to support OUR economy with US empolyees. Had a person with direct contact with the ordering system been available needless delays and expense would have been avoided. Numerous calls required to complete the cancellation. 3) In some cases, it was difficult to get specification to determine the electrical quality of items listed. I ultimately decided to not reorder with BW due to the communications issues and concern as to refund status and expenses.

On the form it was asked if we wanted it sent as a gift. it wasn't, (the person who was to receive it knew before time what it was.) There was an extra charge which they knew about before they sent it. it made the item way to expensive.

they sent the order through fed ex who had two orders with the same order number and different addresses. So fed ex sent it back to boat world who then decided to give me a refund minus of course the money they paid to fed ex. I asked them to reship. They said they couldn't. So I am without the lights and had to pay shipping for them. I am very, very angry and will never return there.

The phone service for returns is totally unacceptable. You cannot speak with a person on the phone. The only way is to use the chat on line. Then there is problems and poor service. I will not shop at Boater World any more. Dennis Crawford ph 217 801-0521

Stereo was defective out of the box, had a short in it and kept shutting down. Because I didn't discover this until approx 12 days after receiving it, they gave me a huge hassle about returning it- From September 21 to October 21 and the return still isn't processed. Worst Customer Service ever! Foreign (Phillipines) Customer Service with fake "Americanized" names. Foreign based "Live Chat" that is difficult to talk with, and they will just hang up on you if they have any difficulty. Email is just as bad, you send a question and they respond with one answer from a "no-reply" possible email address- If the answer was not what you were looking for you can't even reply. If you have to send a return, weeks will go by without it being processed and if you call to check on it they can't even find it if you didn't save the tracking number you sent it back on...Avoid this company at all cost, they are not the same company they were before their retail outlets went bankrupt a year or so ago..

WORST POSSIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I ORDERED MTHE SAME ITEM FROM THERE COMPETITOR AND HAD IT IN MY HANDS IN 3 DAYS. I WAITED 3 WEEKS FOR BOATERS WORLD AND NEVER RECIEVED THE PRODUCT. I HAD TO CALL THEM AND FIND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. THEY THEMN TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT FILL THE ORDER. I AM STILL WAITING FOR A CREDIT ON MY CREDIT CARD. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN

I ordered a $100 Salt water Fishing Reel in July 2011 but cancelled the order 1 hour later when I found a $400 reel I prefered instead. The customer service representative told me he had already sent the first item for shipping and could not not stop it from being charged or sent.He said I should refuse it when it arrived and the charge would be credited back on my account.The $60 Gift Certificate would be applied to my $400 purchase as soon as the return item was received.Several hours later he called me to tell be the new item would be charged at the full price so that I didn't have to wait for the cancellation but the refund of the $ 100 reel would be applied within 3-5 business days including the value of the $60 gift certificate.I did receive a $40 Credit on my credit card bu no refund of the $60 gif certificate.After no less than 5 separate calls I never received the $60 credit until approximately September 20th and that was mearly a reenstatement of the same gift certificate # so I could apply it to Another Purchase in the future.This is not what I requested and was told would happen Now I am stuck with a $60 gift certificate and must select another item to purchase so it can be reapplied. VERY FRUSTATING !!!!

I purchased 2 day air shipping because I needed a product immediately. They gave me ground. When I discovered this I called customer service and noone would answer. I had to do an online chat which was extremely slow (about an hour). The merchant refused to overnight me the product and I was harmed by not having it in time. All they offered was to reduce the shipping price. Unacceptable.

I placed an order for an Item listed as "In Stock". I then received a notification stating the item was on Back Order. I checked the online status and it was still showing "In Stock". FIRST RED FLAG! I called and canceled the order. Customer service sounded like it was from India and they didn't seem real confident. They told be they send a "request" to cancel the order. SECOND RED FLAG! I opted to also cancel via online chat to get my request documented. I did this and was assured I wouldn't be charged and the item wouldn't ship. Several days later I received shipping confirmation. I immediately requested this be canceled and refunded via phone and online help. After several weeks, I have a partial refund. As of now I am being charged for shipping for BoatersWorld.com's mistake. Their Customer Service department is very poor they seem completely detached from the order processing and shipping of items. I have requested a refund for the shipping and if they fail to do so I will be pursuing a charge back with my credit card company.

At the time the manufacturer was out of supply and I was given the choice to either wait or take a refund. I chose to wait and Boaters World was able to ship it even sooner then the predicted date.

I orderd it on Thursday an had to canceled on TUESDAY AM.No one could help,they had to put me on hold 3 times to find out answer to questions. No one could tell me when the order would ship even when I asked and oked a $19.00 shiping fee for 2 day delevery.I called them 3 times,and talked with 3 different people. Orderd with West Marine Tueysday and received it wensday,had no problem with oeder and only talked with one person. Lou Carr
