My experience with Back in the Saddle went from fantastic to horrible in two phonecalls. When i got my 5-item order late after paying additional shipping plus their already high rate, i called and the c/s agent was super-nice, apologetic, and promised 100%satsifaction with any returns plus refunding of extra ship $. Today i called them to confirm the return (1 item) and get a shipping label sent to me. They don't do this. I was passed from one C/S to another, each more resistant than the last. The final result was that the late ship was all my fault and i will be reimbursed for the return item, the return ship amount, and a small percentage of original shipping, all after they recieve my item. Wow. NEVER AGAIN. i am an online-only shopper and just crossed them off my list.

I placed an order by phone on 12-17-12. One item was on sale for $14.99 but I was told it was $29.00. When I questioned this I was told the charge would be corrected on the statement. NOT TRUE. I was also quoted $24.00 shipping, NOT TRUE the statement showed $42.00 shipping. I called on 12-18-12 and was on hold 13 minutes, called later in the day and was on hold 20 minutes. Their message on hold states that they care. I then e-mailed on 12-18,12-20, and 12-28-2012. It is now 1-3-2013 and still have had no response and probably will not get one. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM BACK IN THW SADDLE AGAIN

I have contacted the US Postal Service and reported mail fraud. I ordered a "sterling silver" necklace and received--after a long wait--an item stamped 925 (for sterling) and "Made in China." The item is not silver, only painted silver. I called 'customer service', which is evidently offshore, and who put me on hold for half an hour. I emailed them twice with no response. We are out $60 for absolute junk. I cannot return the item; it was a gift.
I believe this kind of experience is becoming more common because of bootleg and cheap knockoff items from China.

I wish I would of read the reviews before ordering from this company, I ordered my Xmas item 3 weeks ago and was told I would have them in time for Xmas and not to worry. Today I received an email from them and the products were just shipped out yesterday {Dec 14} and would be here after the 27th of December. I called customer service ,was on hold for 30 minutes but was determined to talk to someone. The someone I talked to was very sorry of course and put me through to her supervisor. What a joke, I am still on hold right now after 98 minutes. I will have to hang up soon ,get ready to go shopping for 6 gifts I had ordered from this company. I AM NOT HAPPY and will NEVER shop here again. I have many friends that will be following suite.

I ordered 2 items, one back ordered. The first item came rather quickly, but no mention was made of back ordered item.
I emailed to get an estimate as to expected delivery,( their website claims you'd receive answer it 24 hrs) two weeks later I have yet to hear back, have not received order and give up!!

NEVER Again!
Ordered in September and was immediately emailed that my items were backordered and would be sent out within a month. They charged my card then even though they did not have the merchandise on hand. This week I received an email stating that my merchandise was shipped on September 18th. I never received notification that it was shipping, and the package never made it here. Now it is the end of November and no sign of the merchandise, and after multiple emails, being cut off when being transferred to a manager, I am thoroughly disgusted. Their customer service is non existant. The do NOT track packages - even with high $$ orders. I'm out over $200 and the only recourse I have is to HOPE that my CC company will charge them back.

Horrible and unethical seller. I had received a gift which I exchanged, and they refused to honor the giift certificate because it had been several years. First they disconnected me twice, then they told me that it had expired, then they finally just refused to honor the certificate.

My mom has ordered from them before, so I decided to order a few things. First off - out of the seven items that I decided to order, SIX of them were out of stock/back ordered until July (I just got their catalog - and it's May - they are going to be backordered for two months? How do they stay in business?)
So, I went to the web site to file feedback - and their website "fill-in" doesn't accept dashes or numbers as part of your email address. Unbelievable.

My daughter was given the "Floral Mustang Bed in a Bag" as a Christmas gift. The quality of the comforter and sheets is subpar: comforter is extremely lightweight and chintzy, sheets are super thin and I am concerned will not hold up for long. Additionally, what you CANNOT see in the photo on their website is that the horse print on the comforter does NOT go the length of the item...you get a few rows of the horses and the top 1/2 of the comforter is plain pink. This is absolutely not stated nor is it obvious in the photo of the item. The other items ordered from the site (a pink hoodie and a plush horse) seem to be as described. Not sure I would recommend or order from here again.

My mothers birthday is November 13. I ordered her present on November 2. They shipped it on November 3. On Saturday the 12th at 2 PM I looked for the package and could not find it. They used some strange combination of FEDX and the US Post Office. But it appeared late in the afternoon of the 12th.
I paid $11.95 for shipping which is a bit pricey, and for that I expected standard UPS ground shipping which should take 5 business days. But I suppose the important thing is that the package did make it in time. Barely.
I sent them an email on the 11th and have yet to recieve a response (as of the 13th). And I called customer service on the 12 and after holding for 10 minutes or so I gave up.

I tried to exchange a sweatshirt I received as a gift from my husband that that was mis-printed (the design was very crooked) and their customer service dept. kept me on hold for 45 minutes before I finally gave up. I kept calling back over the course of a few days at different times before I got to talk to a person who told me, and I quote, 'we don't do returns'. My husband called back with his receipt information and was kept on hold for another half of an hour before being hung up on after he reached a customer service agent. He had to just box the shirt up and send it back, and we only got our money back after he opened a fraud complaint w/ our credit card company. The sad thing is, I wanted to exchange the shirt and order another 150.00 worth of merchandise- what an awful, awful way to do business. I'll NEVER order from them or any of their affiliate companies again (In the Company of Dogs, Catalog Favorites, North Style etc).

Terrible customer service, Slow delivery, It took 8 days for them to ship an item that was listed as in stock and another 13 days for it to be delivered. This while paying the unusually high shipping price of 7.95 for 1 tee shirt. Both times I called customer service they were both unhelpful & rude.I do alot if my purchasing online & this was the worst experience I've had with any company.

I will not use Back in the Saddle again! I ordered over $75.00 in clothing and jewery. It has been a month and the shirt that was in stock has not arrived. Though they charged me for it already. The delivery charge was for the seventy five dollar amount though they only sent me a $24.00 t-shirt. After reading other reviews from 2009 and earlier it doesn't seem like they have changed their business practices. I wish I thought of reading the reviews before I ordered! It would have saved me a lot of hassle and frustration. I again say DON'T USE BACK IN THE Saddle! They SUCK!

I would never do business with this company again. First time out, they told me an item was in stock but item was listed as out of stock. I ordered and a nonth later have not heard a word. I called back and they said they got the item in more than a week ago but was going through "quality control." What the frig is that? That takes a week? I cancelled the order.
When you call, you are left on hold for a long time and the phone clerks aren't necessarily "rude" but they definitely have a "I really don't give a crap about your problems" attitude.
I will Never order from then again. I order hundreds of dollars of stuff online monthly and have never run into a company managed this poorly.
