I ordered two pair of shoes and had them delivered to my local store (as per the store managers direction).  It has been almost 3 weeks since I placed the order and still no shoes. I wouldn't order from payless.com again. If you need shoes in two weeks, I do not recommend using payless.com

I doubt I will ever order from Payless.com again. I placed an order on 8/18/11 and today is 8/24/11 and it says it's still in process. Now, to be fair, the website does say 14-17 days delivery time should be expected, but, when you really give that some thought, it's absurd. So just know, that if you order from payless.com, you are gonna be waiting a ridiculously long time. So far I give the whole process a 2.5 and I would not recommend payless.com. If you want to shop with them, go to a brick and morter.

I ordered shoes online on April 28, 2010.  I received a confirmation that the shoes were shipped to the store on May 3, 2010, and to expect delivery in 14 - 17 days.  WHY DOES IT TAKE 14-17 days to ship shoes to your own store???

Well, it's June 10th and the shoes have not arrived.  I have not received any calls from the store of the arrival.  I have visited the store on NUMEROUS occasions with NO HELP from the store staff. 

Finally called Online Customer Service.  Receiving a credit - after they confirm with the store that I did not receive the shoes!!! Why would I bother calling if I had received the shoes...  Save your time and money!  I am a frequent online shopper but I Will NOT EVER SHOP AT PAYLESS online again!!!

In my small town, there is a very bad selection of shoes. And of course, they shut down the Payless. So, I turned to Payless.com and I absolutely love the selection. They have prices to fit any budget. Plus they carry a good selection of wide width shoes, which are very hard to find. Especially in cute styles. So I ordered two $10 pair of shoes, and the shipping cost was a little over $9. Almost like buying another pair of shoes and not getting them. Anyway, I suppose the reason for higher shipping is because they ship USPS First Class. I got my shoes about 2 or 3 days after I ordered them. I was very excited about the quick delivery, and look forward to ordering from them again. Both pair of shoes were exactly what I ordered, although the flip-flops looked slightly wider than they were. Nevertheless, they fit my wide feet. With about a half a day of breaking them in, they fit comfortably, and they are very cute. Watch out for shipping costs, although they do ship your shoes free to any payless store. Too bad there's not one anywhere close to here.

so i know customer service is important and it's nice when you are offered help but this is just ridiculous. as soon as i walk into this store i am hassled by an employee. when i say i'm "just browsing" she then keeps going on about sales and this and that. when i finally thought she was gone and i could have a minute to myself to try on some shoes she then come backs and keeps babbling on about how cute the shoes are that i have on and showing me other shoes. i find a lot of customers just like to browse around without being bothered and will ask for help if they need it. now a days, i can't go into a payless without people following me around which is why i don't shop there anymore. customer service is great but they take it way too far. it seems like they just think of us customers as a walking pocket of money that needs to be put in their cash registers. are they for real???

Dear Payless,

I have relied on Payless for shoes for my medical condition for years. They sell Crosstrekkers with velcro ties that meet or exceed other shoes tested for support, fit, quality, and value UNTIL NOW. It seems that Payless will only carry a solid black tennis shoe, and an ugly one at that. Yes I will buy the ugly black shoes for my medical condition, but I can't understand why BLACK?? Can't find much that goes with black shoes these days unless I go to the movies in the dark, or a black sabbath. Also can't understand why the price for these shoes has gone from $19.95 to $24.99. The support is great but the durability of this particular shoe is fairly short compared with other tennis shoes in the $25.00+ price range.

Anyway, thanks for supporting my family (literally) Payless. So how bout bringing back the CTR-WW WHT DBL STRAP shoe and the $19.95 price that all my friends and family swear by as well as Consumer Reports and our family doctor too.

I will never order from their website again.
I ordered a pair of shoes to be delivered at my local store, to save the shipping charges.
Long story short, I waited for over 2 weeks. Never got an email confirming shipping, nothing. Checked with customer service, gave them my order number and was then told that order had been cancelled because the warehouse had run out of that shoe.
I NEVER received an email telling me this.
I can see why they no longer have an email contact option on their website. I'm sure they couldn't keep up with the complaint emails.

Payless is a good source for inexpensive shoes, tennies for kids, slippers, and socks. They have a chart for measuring your feet if you are unsure about the size. Orders have been accurate and customer service has been very good. Since they have upgraded their website ordering is very easy.

I quite honestly thought I had been forgotten about the first nineteen (19!) days after I placed my order. Then, late that nineteenth day, I got a ship confirmation from Payless stating that they had shipped my shoes. I ordered them on May 23rd, 2004, as shoes to go with a dress and hat I had purchased for my wife, for a wedding on June 12. (Which, right now, is tomorrow.) More convenient is their arbitrary decision to ship USPS, which is CLOSED today except for the large P&D facilities due to the funeral of Ronald Reagan. I have the proverbial snowball's chance in H-E-double-hockey-sticks of seeing these shoes before the wedding. My wife had to take off of work early to run and get some shoes last-minute from a store, and last-minute usually doesn't measure up to what precise pre-planning is, so the shoes aren't all they could be. All because it took Payless.Com almost 20 days to put a box of shoes they claimed were 'In Stock' into a bigger box, stick a label and postage on it, and mail it.
