Ordered one Harry Potter Gryffindor child’s costume for my son last week and the price was $30. Now we have received it and son likes it very much, he said it was what he wanted. So next time we will order from them if buying crafts, because I saw many beautiful and interesting crafts for kids.

BUYER BEWARE!  I was satisfied with my purchase, however, a few weeks later I noticed my credit card was being charged $14.95 each month by "easy saver".  It turns out that even though Oriental Trading claims their website is secure, the only thing preventing them from passing your credit card information over to a third party scamming company is a checkbox during the checkout process on their website.  They try to get you to click that box for a discount coupon, which they never give you, but instead sign you up for "easy saver."

When I called their customer service number about this the lady had the "easy saver" hotline number readily on hand to give me to discontinue the membership and said it was all my fault for clicking that checkbox.  This must be one of their top complaints and they know it is dishonest.  Any business that would do this to their customers to make some extra money off of their expense should not be trusted.  I wonder who else they have given my credit card information to.

I was very satisfied with my Oriental Trading order at the time I received it.  However, for many months afterward I kept recieving this charge on my bank statement for 14.95 marked "easy saver".  After many hours of investigation, I found out that easy saver had gotten my debit card information from the Oriental Trading Company.  They claim that I accepted and authorized a membership through a pop-up on their website.  I have a pop-up blocker so I find this hard to believe, but none-the-less whether I did or didn't click this pop-up box.  I have never received a letter, email or anything else stating that they were deducting this money from my bank account or listing the benefits of being a member of this "easy saver".  I have done many hours of research on this easy saver company and have come to the conclusion that it makes it's money off of scamming people who do not know they have accepted a membership.  Shame on Oriental Trading for allowing their trusting customers to be scammed by this "pop-up"!

I've made a few purchases from orientaltrading.com. On my last purchase, I mistakenly gave an incorrect delievery address. I realized this only after the order had been shipped. I called Oriental Trading's customer service, and they were wonderful! They did a new order and shipped it to the correct address at no additional cost! I would definitely recommend buying from oriental trading. They have a HUGE selection of fun products on sale and fantastic customer service. Even thought I have at time received a few faulty products (for example, I once ordered 2 dozen flashlight pens and a few of them didn't work), I still think that you get great value for your money at oriental trading.

I ordered watercolor paint palettes from Oriental Trading.  I never recieved a conformation and I waited for 3 days past the delivery date to call and check on the order.  I was told that the order was cancelled because they were out of stock.  The operator said that I "should have recieved a cancellation ntoice".  However, I did not.  I did just recieve a request to rate the product (that I never recieved) so I know that they have the correct email address.  I will not order from them again.  This impacted 500 students at my school. 

I placed an order with Oriental Trading (OT)back in October. Since then I'm being charged $14.95 a month on my credit card for something called Encore Marketing.  I did a search on the Internet and found out it's a scam associated with Oriental Trading.  I called up OT and they confirmed they were connected to Encore Marketing.  They said during my order with them I must have agreed to a promo they were offering for discounted travel, etc.  I have never received any emails or mail from Encore Marketing.  The receipts from Oriental Trading do not show anything having to do with this promo so I have no proof of this supposed promo I signed up for. While OT admits their connection with Encore Marketing they said they can't help me.  The number they gave me for Encore Marketing is no longer working 888 595 8380.  OT refuses to help they said I have to deal with Encore Marketing even though OT shared my credit card information.  There are lots of similar complaints with regards to OT and Encore Marketing on the web.

Recurring problem of items being left off my order.
I received 4 of the 5 things I ordered, though the packing slip indicated that it was in the box. When I called to complain I was told that the item was out of stock. That would have been nice to know when I ordered the item, or in the follow-up e-mail. Now, with one day to my event, I have to go hunting for new items.

Same thing happened to my neighbor when she was throwing her son's birthday party.

We were both offered a $15 merchandise credit for our trouble, but after you pay $7 in shipping, that 15 doesn't go very far. Plus, one bitten - twice shy.

If you order from them, make sure you have PLENTY of time to implement your 'plan B' for items that never get shipped.

I have only recently started dealing with Oriental Trading. I purchased some Breast Cancer awareness items that I was hoping to sell in order to raise money for a fundraiser. Most items were great but I had an issue with the car magnets shaped like ribbons. Apparently, the magnetic part is plastic but the pink part is simply cardboard (glossy so it LOOKS like it might be plastic) glued on. After 5 min in the rain the magnet is worthless.

It would be great as a refrigerator magnet but I have an issue with the fact that it is advertised as a car magnet when it cannot withstand the elements.

When I called the 1-800 number, the woman was very helpful. She could not give me a credit as I did not have the ribbons to send back (had already sold them at a fundraiser) but she did give me a $20 credit to a future order.

As I said, there were other items that I did order which lived up to all expectations so I would have no problems dealing with the comany again in the future.
