At this point I'm not sure if i would purchase from them again. They charged my credit card twice for the one order. My credit card thought there might be fraud going on so they have closed my account and going to reissue a new credit card number. Customer service could not explain what happened so i have to wait 72 hours to see if they straighen it out. In the mean time I have to wait for a new card to be issued so i can't use my charge card for other things. I would like to know this is straighted out. They could call me on my cell at 616-446-1336 instead of making me chase them down to get it fixed. Gary Campbell

Defective products... I bought a hard drive, it was defective... I wanted refund, they say I can do exchange, but I have to buy another one.  OK.  I buy, they send me a return label, I return.  The replacement is defective as well.   This sucks...  3 weeks later they haven't refunded me either.   So I've paid for 2 hard drives, and all I got is a single defective drive...   Amazing...  I called seagate, and both hard drives were sold WITHOUT WARRANTY to reseller, so all warranty should come from eCost.  And eCost insists that I get seagate to fix it.    Total SCAM.  I'm taking this to my credit card company, let them deal with this bull.

TERRIBLE SCAM. Bait and price switch.  Web search showed item at lowest price and "in stock". We placed order and paid in full.  Checked status a few days later after item did not arrive as expected,My order status showed as "on backorder",yet their site still showed them in stock but at a now higher price, I emailed, no reply!  so I then called customer service they said the lower priced (exact same model! ) were "on backorder" with unknown eta,  When I told them the same model (with increased priced) were still showing as in stock on their site and I asked them to just ship me one, but they said could not ship me one at the price I ordered or give me any date the "one I ordered" would be available.

They have good seletions of products, but they have riduculously high shipping fees. Their shipping is so expensive that its not worth buying merchandise from them.

Always had good luck with eCost, but it is taking longer than expected to get my secure digital card. Ordered a laptop sleeve at the same time and it was delivered in 2 days. It has been 5 days since the digital card was shipped and it still has not been delivered.

From the order process to shipping out took a few days. Received a defective item. It took them 8 days to get back to me on getting a replacement. Ground shipping for this was $16 - excessive for something of that size and weight (Amazon charge $7 shipping for the same item). I'm not yet sure if they'll refund the original shipping (they have sent me a prepaid return label for the original one). To get a replacement I had to order and pay for another unit and now ship the old one back to get a refund, at least I think that's how it works. I've ordered a lot of stuff from eCost over the years and my previous experience has been very good. I think they're slipping.............

Shopping experience went well. However, at the end a pop-up chat session appeared that offered $10 Off my purchase. I had to enter hello to start chat. I tried numerous times and it didn't work. Then I typed something random in and "kimberely" replied that if I wanted to exit to click the X at the top of the page. So I did. It was annoying.

the only reason i didnt give them an excellent rating is, there was no product desciption what so ever. Not even a picture. just a model number and a price. had to go to other web sites to read about product. if price was close to to what ecost was I probably would of ordered from them.Thanks kirk

I shopped around on the web, and ecost had the best price for exactly what I was looking for. It arrived ahead of schedule and works perfectly. I will definitely use this merchant again.

Tracking information was not provided - the link didn't work. The item took some time to arrive but it was defective. After 2 emails with auto-replies promising a reponse within 24-48 hours (which didn't happen) I eventually did get a message with instructions on how to reorder and return the bad item. I fail to understand why I had to reorder (and pay) for a new one while awaiting details of how to return the old one. If they do not refund the original shipping (which was pretty excessive - over $16 ground for something that size and weight) I will have paid over $76 for a refurbished item that I could have bought brand new for less.

Horriffic customer service. They cancelled my first order tying up my monies without just cause. Then I had to order it again. Just simply unacceptable.

Eventhough the product arrived in good shape the outer box 3 times larger than product was nearly falling appart. The box was flimzy (cheap).
