The website incorrectly stated for days that the shoes were paid for. It stated this for a number of days, and when it was not until I sent the shoes off to the person who the site claimed paid for the shoes did it say the shoes were not paid for by that person. Also, the site later stated after I shipped the shoes that the person was a fraud, that should have been stated way before the shoes were marked as paid for. The person should not have even been able to use the website. Then when I spoke to a representative the first time, she cursed me out, called me horrible names, and hung up the phone on me before I could even tell her what was going on. The other two representatives I spoke with were not helpful and in fact told me incorrect information in order to get me off of the telephone. I am not a first time buyer or seller on this website, and have never had these problems before. This is HIGHLY UNACCEPTABLE AND WRONG!

I was a ebay member for almost nine years untill a VERO member falsely accused me of selling counterfeit merchandise. My account was suspended for one year even after i sent proof to the accuser that i was not selling a counterfeit version of thier product. Well they said one year, but when i tried to make a purchase almost two years later my account was still suspended, indefiently. After talking to multiple foreign people that were no help i decided i would like my account permently closed. They denied my request to delete all my personal information. Thanks to them i purchased the same product from amazon's website for half the price. I wish i would have checked out amazon years ago. I am considering reopening my online retail sunglasses business by selling my products on amazon. Thanks ebay, but your services are not required anymore.

I recommend that you do not do business with Ebay. If you purchase something at a good price and the seller decides not to ship it, Ebay WILL NOT BACK YOU UP and suspend a seller unless he ships your item. Then the seller can do the same thing to someone else. Ebay's customer service in this regard is horrible. The seller I dealt with lied to me repeatedly, telling me he shipped the item, but it was never shown as "accepted at the post office. I could not get informaion out of him. He wanted to refund my money, probably so he could sell the items at a higher price on Ebay or elsewhere. Then he told me to "go ahead and leave negative feedback", so negative feedback accomplishes nothing. He will probably delete the account and start another new seller account and rip off other buyers. Its a pretty sad way to do business.

So this is not about Ebay at all... no it is about the seller ON Ebay, a few in fact.
Before I start, Let me say this, I HAVE HAD SOME GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH EBAY!
Ok so I ordered some items within the past few weeks Both of these on the same day. From 2 different "legit" stores, 1 of them were "Top Rated" And the other had a 100% Positive feed back.
Now NEITHER of the items have arrived Infact they do not say they have even shipped. ONLY Payment recieved, AND it has been deducted from my bank account.
I have had one similar experience where the item did not come. I sent a LOT of emails, and "Hey why has my bank been accessed and it has not shipped."
Same thing current day. It has been two weeks NUMEROUS emails, and one to ebay who is interviening.
I noticed the three sellers I had the most trouble with were from Shanghai. So NEVER again NEVER again will I order ANYTHING from Shanghai. I only hope they get banned soon.
The Bad ratings go to the three that I have delt with that are bad AND DO NOT REFLECT EBAY AS A WHOLE!

Ebay is a great place to find things cheap but sometime you find your self in a bidding war and end up paying more for something then if you right out bought it. I have bought from ebay couple of times you have good people on there selling and you also have con-artist that try to sell you a fake it. But if you go with your gutt you should be able to weed those people out.

After receiving a defective eBay item from China I returned it per the sellers shipping instructions. Although I had both shipping and customs receipts for the return shipment the selled did not provide a refund and eBay denied my claim for a refund. Perhaps this is because I did not have delivery confirmation receipt (very expensive when shipping to China and not even available using the seller's prescribed class of shipment) or perhaps it is because eBay has put a lot of effort into establishing a foothold in China and doesn't want to jinx it. In any event, eBay provided no reason whatsoever for denying the claim for refund. So if you're not willing to lose the cost of an item from China (plus return shipping cost), think twice about bidding or buying.

As an Ebay buyer OK.As a small time personal seller SUCKS BIG TIME!!!!!!Ive been a member of ebay since 2003 and just decided to sell stuff last night 11/15/2011 because I receive an email saying that they have a free listing that day and I can list up to 5,000 items.But since I really dont sell stuff so I have only like 20 items limit to post...and guess what????so excited if someone bids on my lists...THEY SUSPEND MY ACCOUNT this morning 11/16/2011 and told me that I cannot appeal on it and cannot use ebay anymore!!!without even giving me any good reason why they suspend my account..I said it might be the tiffany bracelet that i posted..i have a receipt and can scan and send it to them but still they said IAM NOT WELCOME ANYMORE!!!!damn you guys...if that is how you do business...hope you guys go down..with a high seller fees and listing fees that you have...Id rather go to Amazon.com to do some business...YOU GUYS SUCKS!!!

I listed a car for sale on ebay. Within hours it was sold! Unfortunately the buyer paid with a counterfeit check. I was fortunate enough to catch this before shipping the car. I made a report to ebay. They still billed me $127.00 for selling the car and billed my credit card. It has been a month and I still do not have my money back from ebay. All I can say is that this is a company that seems to be run for scammers by scammers.

Ebay sellers work very hard to keep up with all the demands from customers & ebay's rules. Many customers abuse the system to take advantage of sellers trying to keep a good clean record. It is very hard to keep a 100% positive Feedback record, almost imposible.

eBay condones bad business practices by sellers and encourages giving positive feedback to bad sellers, therefore making the feedback system meaningless. It puts bad sellers in the same position as the really good ones; they all have near perfect feedback. This makes it very difficult to judge a seller's real record, as the flaws and mistakes rarely show in the feedback. This is very unfair to those sellers who are truly above the norm.
eBay's customer service team is absolutely worthless. The average IQ level of eBay's customer service reps is about zero. They actually remove legitimate negative feedback if the seller has a high eBay rating and complains to them about it. They don't even notify or send an explanation to the buyer.
eBay is about profits, it is not about customer service. eBay consistently encourages sellers to continue with their bad business practices.

I am a seller and not impresses with ebay's policies on items that are undelivered. Just because either Australia Post is slack and don't deliver items or in my case I had a buyer who was a scammer and tried to refunds from at least 4 other sellers in a 6 month period, ebay or paypal don't care and still demanded I refund her the money. They don't look at individual cases and don't care that this buyer is ripping everyone off. I am not a happy buyer at all. Also quite interestingly I found out that ebay actually owns paypal so they get double the amount of profit from all the fees they charge.

A new eBay member without any feedback can give you a NEGATIVE FEEDBACK and just go away - you have NO RIGHTS TO HAVE IT REMOVED - no matter if you have 10 YEARS as eBay member - your word means NOTHING when we are talking about FEEDBACKS.
Beside this, you may be able to easily list your items for sale, you will have a good customer service and you will pay the fees and comissions that I evaluate as HIGH.

Ebay buyers Beware!!!! Ebay has just put a new policy in place for anyone who sells on Ebay. If you are charged shipping on any item you will be able to leave the feedback on shipping. What ebay is doing is making the sellers charge the shipping in the price of the item so Ebay can get and extra cut of money. Before you thought the seller was getting the extra $$$ for any difference in shipping cost for some sellers that was the case but not all. Basically, now your gonna pay more for the item and not get the oportunity to give a review of the shipping. Ebay makes more and you have to pay more. Try eBids, it sounds like its going to be the new Ebay of online selling and buying.
