I have so far had a great experience using ebay.  I have only been a member for about a year.  I was initally afraid of the site since you have no guarantee what you might be sent.  You definitely need to read the sellers reviews and all of the details about the product.  There are some sellers who try to pull the wool over your eyes.  I usually only buy from top rated sellers.  You also need to pay attention to where the seller is located.  I don't recommend using an international seller.  It took a month to receive an order from Japan to the United States.  I have not sold anything on ebay yet.  That will be my next adventure.  I have friends that have sold things on ebay and say that it is just as easy as purchasing.  You have to be really specific in your searches; otherwise, you will spend hours going through hundreds of pages. I have only purchased new items also.  I can't justify buying anything used since I can't see it with my own eyes first.  There are lots of neat things on ebay.  Anything you can think of someone probably has for sell. I only use paypal for purchases.
