As many of you know, I'm a fan of Zia Beauty Products. A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a scathing review of their web site. Since I despise it so much I went in search of another online retailer that sold their products. That's how I came across Beauty Deals.
Beauty Deals specializes in selling products in hair care, skin care, hair color, hair brushes, nail care, and beauty tools. In each category, you'll find many name brands that you recognize - American Crew, ARTec, Bella, Burt's Bees, Logics, Opi, Redken, and lucky for me - Zia. There are SO many brands that they sell - chances are if you use it, it's there :).
Within each category of brands is a buttload :) of selections. My Zia area alone has 50 different things I can order - that's what Zia's crappy web site offers too. But here's the kicker. Beauty Deals does a couple of things that go that extra mile.
First, they offer me the smaller sizes of products. For example, I wanted to try Zia Natural Fresh Papaya Peel. The full size costs anywhere from $20-25. Beauty Buys offers the smaller, trial version (worth a couple of uses), for $3.75. It was great to be able to buy this knowing that if I didn't like it, I didn't waste a lot of money on it.
Second, the more stuff you buy, the more you save! For example, if you purchase $40 worth of beauty products, they will deduct 4% off of your bill. This isn't a special going on. This is their standard way of doing business. There's an entire table that shows you if you spend X they will deduct Y off of your bill.
Third, any time you spend over $75, shipping is always free. Always! This also isn't just a special. It's always the case. And yes, this doesn't negate any of their other deals that they have going on.
Something really cool that I need to mention is that not only do they offer these x percent off according to how much you buy, but their products are already lower in price than some of the other places I visit. For example, if I were to go to the Zia web site, the manufacturer would charge me $18.95 for Zia Brown Sugar Body Polish. On Beauty Deals, I get the exact same product/same size for $17.84. Sure it's not a bazillion dollars I save but it's still less and with as much as I spend, I'm sure to get the free shipping and x percentage off.
Need advice on which product might meet your needs? Beauty Deals has a couple of pages that will meet your need. If you're wondering what products might be good for fine hair, they give you a list of the products, plus a link to take you there. I found these pages to be very helpful when I wanted to explore some new products.
Now that I've gushed over the actual price, selection, deals, and a couple of the other things that mean a lot, let me tell you about the web site. It's SO easy to get around. The home page colors are orange and purple which really doesn't sound appealing but it definitely works for this site. Unlike many other sites, they don't waste your time with extraneous information. Upfront, you know immediately what products they sell. Click on any area, and you can go in deeper to every single product that they offer.
Each product has a large picture along with a pretty nice description, the size, and the price. Below the product picture is a grey radio button where you can add the product to your cart.
When you check out, Beauty Deals has you create an account with all of that nifty demographic information. Your payment options are Discover, Mastercard, or Visa. By the way, your credit card information does not need to be stored.
Beauty Deals shows you the final order before you send it over to them. Once you do, you are emailed a confirmation. When your packaged is ship, you receive another email from UPS, on behalf of Beauty Deals with your tracking number.
I received my order in five days. It was all packed beautifully. Every thing was taped so that it wouldn't ooze out during shipping (I love that they do this).
I have ordered a total of three times from this place and every single time, I pinch myself wondering what took me so long to find them.
Beauty Deals is meant for the end user of salon products. That means that they're not a wholesaler and they're not a distributor. They're just a group of specialists in the field of beauty who want to make sure that people like us can get our hands on the products that our stylists recommend and at a very decent price.
I highly recommend that you get your hiney on over to that web site and shop til you drop!
