This was my second purchase from Wine.com and I would order from them again. I did have a minor problem with the delivery date - I checked a particuliar date because it was a gift. When I received a confirmation it was shipped standard delivery which would of caused it to arrive while the receiver was out of town. I called Wine.com and they told me that I needed to call UPS to contact this. I didn't feel like I should have to handle this - with the high cost of shipping I thought they could correct the problem. I had also sent an email to Wine.com and they corrected the problem for me and the delivery was made at the appropriate time without me having to contact UPS myself. So I received much better customer support from my email to Wine.com than I did in calling them. I would use this site again to purchase wine - especially for gifts.

I paid extra for a delivery service where they were to call and arrange a delivery time. No one called. Date for delivery passed. Recipient finally had to call deilvery service and drive a distance to pick it up himself. Very very unhappy. And site did not have an acceptable way of contacting someone to help. I tired and no one contacted me back.

I received the wrong product. A short call and the problem was quickly and politely resolved. I believe that mistakes do happen and it is how they are handled that is most important.

I did not receive this shipment of wine due to UPS. They were scheduled to deliver on 6/23 between 8am-7pm - they verified that through a phone call to me. They attempted to deliver at 7:47pm and I was not home. I called later that evening to see if I could pick up the wine at the warehouse the next day as I was planning to be out of town the next several days. The agent told me I would get a phone call letting me know if I could pick it up the morning of 6/24. I never received a phone call and when I called them again the afternoon of 6/24, I was told the wine had been sent back to the shipper.

Shopped on website with gift card. Although the site allowed me to place the order for a specific 2005 Chilean wine, after 5 days of expecting delivery, they phoned me saying it was out of stock. Not good tie between website and inventory levels. Had to substitute other wines less desirable.

The wine was backordered, so it took longer then expected. (~3 weeks). The wine arrived before the email notifying me that the order had been completed/shipped, so I suspect there may be a lag in statusing the shipments out of their warehouse. When I had problems with a previous order "Cat" in the customer service dept was extreamly helpfull and responsive in correcting a shipping error.
