Hi,
I recently placed an order from wine.com. By recently, I mean I placed the order on the 1st, scheduled to arrive on the 9th. However, that didn't happen, so I called up on the 10th. The order got supposedly resent, scheduled to arrive on the 12th. The lady I talked to refunded the shipping costs, given the inconvenience your company had caused. To my surprise however, the order didn't arrive on the 12th either, although I thought whatever issue existed had been straightened out. On the 13th, I called again, was told the whole order had actually been on hold the entire time due to the bottles being out of stock, and that should I allow them to substitute bottles, I would receive my order on the 15th. Given that the bottle I had placed the order specifically to receive was available and it was some random order filler bottles, I agreed (although I thought I had checked the it's okay to substitute boxes on those particular bottles when I placed the order). She also said that due to the inconvenience, they would be happy to wave the shipping costs. Funny, if she had looked at the order, she would've known they had already been waived, which I politely informed her. Well the 15th came and went, and much to my dismay, no wine arrived at my doorstep. This means I got to call up again, and this time, get told that the whole time the order was on hold because both my credit cards linked to my account had insufficient funds (funny given that one of the accounts had several hundred dollars more than the order, and the other had several thousand more). After dealing with an incredibly rude person about the issue, who refused to let me talk to a supervisor, he said that he had fixed the issue and that the wine would arrive on the 22nd. On the 22nd, to my great surprise, the wine showed up at my doorstep, making it three weeks after ordered, and barely in time for Christmas. While I was happy my wine finally made it, the excitement was somewhat lost when I found out today that the order was finally completed with shipping charges intact. Thanks wine.com for the lousy service, terrible customer service representatives, overpriced wine and overrall just bad business.
