As Christmases pass, my kids' demands get larger. My 22 year old son "requested" a pair of Timberland boots and I figured they would be about $60.00. No way! I searched all over and the very lowest price was $130.00 plus shipping. OUCH!

I happened to find The Shoe Mart aka ShoeMart and what do you know? They had what I wanted for $103.50 and no shipping. I took a chance and the transaction was excellent.

What the Site Sells

This site sells high end designer and brand name shoes and boots for men and women and some accessories.

Navigation, Shipping, and Returns

ShoeMart isn't a flashy site. It is nicely put together with several ways to search and and different criteria to click on. When you find what you want, the descriptions are ample and the pics are decent although not 3D or zoomable. Ordering is really easy. Pick a size, click, and the items are in your cart. Checkout is standard with the usual info needed and a major credit card.

After ordering, you will get an immediate confirmation letter and, very soon after that, a shipping one with a tracking number. The orders arrive fast and well packed.

Their return policy is great. You can return items within 365 days. Of course, they can't be worn and used but still, that is a huge time frame. If you choose to exchange the shoes, you will not be charged for return shipping.

Shipping is FREE on all orders in the US. That is my favorite part of this site. Heavy shoes can be quite expensive to ship but there are no worries at ShoeMart. Tax is only charged in Connecticut.

My Experience

My son and I shopped together on separate computers looking for the exact Timberland boots he wanted. He has to have exactly what he wants or he simply won't wear the things. Spoiled, yes. Like his mother, definitely. We saw the boots but they were over $150.00. We finally found them for $130.00 but shipping was $11.95 and that hurt. I was ready to give up when I came across ShoeMart. I had never heard of it and had no idea what to expect.

They had the boots we wanted in stock in my son's size (13). And they were on sale! $103.50! After looking at all the much higher priced boots that were exactly the same on other sites, I was thrilled to see that price tag. Seeing that I would not have to pay shipping was a bonus. I ordered and paid no tax and hoped for the best.

I got my confirmation and shipping emails and the boots were on my doorstep in a total of five days from when I placed the order. They are perfect and my son has inspected them and declared that I know have to get him the same ones in black. You know, because the wheat colored ones were so "cheap" and all that I can afford to get him two pairs. Yeah right!

I am very happy with all aspects of this site and will return when I want designer or higher priced shoes and boots. Their prices are good and the no shipping charge policy is a big plus.

Conclusion

I have nothing at all to complain about. I got what I wanted at the lowest price around, I didn't have to pay tax or shipping, and I got my order incredibly fast. I like the return policy and I like that they have a toll free number to call clearly posted on the site. I am going with 5 stars. I will be back, ShoeMart!
