Repeated delays in shipping due to weather, but Ritz customer support people only had "canned" responses, no real useful information. The customer support in India( I assume after all the folks I talked to had that accent) was unresponsive, again only "canned" rehearsed responses. This was the most frustrating online transaction I've ever done! Next time I'll go back to Amazon!

Call back from order dept to finalize order: Speaker had heavy accent and I was unable to understand him. When I asked for an English speaker he hung up. The call back speaker was much easier to understand.

I will never shop at RitzCamera.com again. I ordered two items. Only one was delivered with no explanation for where the other one was. I called to find out where my second item was and the customer service rep said that the second one was cancelled. No apology. No offer to refund my money for the second item purcahsed. I had to inquire if I was going to get a refund for the second item. The rep had to check with a supervisor, but then said, yes, my cost for the second item would be refunded. A week later when I had not received my refund, I went to your online chat. The person on online chat assured me a refund was on its way. Another week later when I still had not received my refund, I went to online chat again. This second online chat person insisted I bought only one item and received one item, so there was no refund due. I informed him that I had emailed proof that I had purchased two items, and a packing list which acknowledged only one item had been delivered. After a lot of wrangling, I finally got my refund. I think RitzCamera.com is one of the worst online companies I have ever dealt with.

This was the most awful shopping experience I have ever had! I tried to call and place the order. Your call waiting hung up on me 3 times after waiting over 15 minutes each time. I was never successfully connected to a person. Then I ended up using the live chat to order the product. The support person was in India and didn't understand the questions i was asking. I was told me purchase was shipped and what they really meant was processing.....big difference!I needed this item for a business appointment by a certain date. I was promised overnight shipping and that it would be there in time. IT had never even left the processing stage!!! After three phone calls, and three different India reps who could not understand the language, I cancelled my order. This was a horrible experience. I will never deal with Ritz camera again.

Overall everything went well with the exception that communication from vendor was pretty much none existent. Received the camera in good condition but shipping was very slow and no real follow up from vendor.

Received no shipping info promptly, so cancelled the order, then 24hours later received notification order had shipped, told to refuse it as it was coming usps, it came the next day via ups, took two weeks to get return label and a further week after the product was returned and received by this merchant to receive a refund, obviously this merchant can fill and ship orders quickly, which would be quite impressive if they would let the customer know. They obviously outsource their customer service and the help from these people was absolutely non existent, live chat with their agents was no better. Had they had good customer service I would not have felt the need to cancel the order as I could not get a tracking number and my account had been charged and the whole miserable experience would have been avoided, and my order would have been fulfilled in a very timely manner.

All but the Nikon D7000 Camera w/18-105VR Lense have been received. Ritz has charged me for a camera I have yet to receive and am already paying for. Inquires to Customer Service (both by phone and Live Chat) have been non-responsive!! Where is my purchase and why am I paying for something I have not received!

1. Told me item was in stock, 2 days later I found out it wasn't.
2.Shipping Dep't. said they couldn't verify my credit card info. I called credit card company and there was no problem.
3. Difficulty understanding foreign customer service employees.
4. No apologies, it was "place another order, we'll let you know."

1: Took 6 days for them to put a 7lb item out for delivery, when it was "in stock" and my card had already been charged!

the shopping was a good experience overall but the "processing" for 2 weeks was pretty ridiculous and uncalled for. i dont know any business that takes 2 weeks to process a order. it's insane! but i got my products in perfect condition and in the end that is all that matters.

This was the worst online shopping experience ever. I would never come back to this site. I tried to change shipping on my order, and was told I need to place a new order, but the representative did not cancel my previous order as promised and even after 5-10 phone calls I still have not recieved the full refund on the order that was supposed to be canceled. I feel robbed, basically.

Ordered a Nikon D5000 kit. I thought they were putting in the order and it would soon ship. Weeks later, I find out that the bag was out of stock, so they were waiting. Over a month later, we got the camera. We took hundreds of pictures of our baby and her first birthday and other events. Then, when someone was taking a picture of us, they see that they can't review the picture. The camera never saved any pictures! We contact Ritz and they say to contact Nikon since it was more than 10 days?!?!

I would NOT shop at Ritz Camera again. The product was supposed to ship in 1-2 days but did NOT ship for over 4 weeks. I made calls the first 2 weeks checking the status and was told the item shipped when it had NOT. For the next 2 weeks, I tried to unsuccessfully cancel the order. Then I got notification that the item had shipped and Ritz even charged my credit card. It has taken 6 weeks to NOT get what I ordered and to NOT pay for it. The customer service department is aweful. I have never been lied to by a customer service rep before. I had to go to corporate to get anything handled.

Wasn't very happy to find that the call center person could not verify which "ground" shipper was to be used. This greatly affects who I order from . I did NOT order the camera bundle I was after for this very reason. I went to a local merchant and purchased due to this lack of info.
I will shop your site again because normally I get great service.

Ordered gift cards for Christmas presents. Recieved email from Ritz confirming order. When recepients did not receive gift cards I tried contacting Ritz. First I had to use instant messaging on their website to contact them. They then gave me number in India to call, then the rep in India (whom I could barely understand) gave me another number in the US to call. That number was just a general voice mail. Ritz cancelled my order due to a fraudulent address for my credit card. However, they never notified me about the cancellation and the address on file was correct. In addition, they never submitted my charge to VISA. VISA did not decline the charge because a charge was never attempted by RITZ. Ritz had me order a second time. Same thing happened. They did not process charge with VISA but said it was turned down due to fraudulent address. However, VISA has no record of any attempted charges, the address Ritz had on file was correct and again they cancelled the order without notice to me.
Again, I had to talk to them via Instant messenger, then call to India, then call to number in US that was just a general voice mail. No messages left on voice mail were returned.
I did finally get to speak to someone by calling the US number and just picking extensions at random until someone answered.
They attempt not to speak to you about any problems you may have with an order. Their ordering proceedures make no sense. How can you turn down a credit card without attempting to run charge thru VISA.
I spent hours trying to straigten this mess out. I would NEVER NEVER purchase or order another item from RITZ.
My wife is a photographer and has all of her prints done at Ritz. After this transaction, she has changed camera shops. Just not worth the fight to get them to sell you a product or gift card.
Worse online retailer I have ever dealt with.

Don't count on getting your order in a timely manner nor honest customer service. I placed an order for an item that was supposed to ship in 1 to 2 business days according to the website. After 1 week, I called and was told that it was being shipped from the manufacturer and would take longer. After two weeks, I was told it had shipped and I would get an e-mail with a tracking number. Two days later no such e-mail so I called to cancle the order. I was told it would take 24-48 hours to cancel the order. Five days later it was still not canceled. I called again and was told that they would escalate the cancellation. One week later the order still was not cancele. Again I was told that the cancellation would be escalated. Two days later, the order shipped and the charge was placed on my credit card. I was told that I have to refuse the package and wait for a refund until they have the package back. I will never do business with Riz Camera online again. They lie to their customers and do not deliver in a timely manner.

Poor customer service and bad information on your web site. When I did get my order the 2nd lens was missing and had to be re -ordered. The people in your call center in India where next to impossible to understand and completely unsympathetic. A very poor experience for such an expensive camera and a company that I had confidence in. Sean Whilhelm in the Wolf Camera Store in Vinnings was the ONLY one who got things right for me.

From the description I was under the impression that I was purchasing a "complete" CD player that would hold 5 CDs. What I got was a CD turntable minus the amplafier. This was not a serious problem because I used the amp from the old CD player. Though the cost was acceptable I am positive that I purchased by old player with record truntable, amp, speakers and tape player for a lot less. I did not return the product because of the restocking fee. In the end verything turned out positive.
