NOT AT ALL IMPRESSED
I purchased a pair of women's boots online from Piperlime.com last month. I was a first-time customer, and my shopping experience with this company may well be my last.
When I ordered the boots, I very clearly inputted the shipping address where the boots were to be delivered. It was a delivery address which I have used over the past several years and at which I have received many personal purchases with no problems.
After almost two weeks went by with no boots, I received an e-mail from Piperlime telling me the boots had been returned as undeliverable and that my order would be cancelled unless I contacted the company ASAP. When I got a customer service rep (CSR) on the phone, she then proceeded to tell me the boots had been shipped to my billing address, not the delivery address I specified. I gave her the original delivery address and told her I was not happy that the company's online ordering system had clearly ignored what I had inputted. This was on a Saturday.
The CSR then proceeded to tell me that in apology for the error on their part, she would send a note to the Returns Department to have the boots re-shipped to me on an upgraded Two-Day expedited basis at no additional charge. This means I should have received the boots no later than Wednesday the following week.
After the following Friday came and went with no boots, I again called the company only to be put on hold while the CSR tried to track down my boots, because no updated tracking information had been entered into their computers regarding my order. When she came back on the line, she proceeded to again apologize and tell me that the Returns warehouse did not ship out my boots as instructed. Instead of sending them out Two-Day delivery, whoever processed the shipping sent it out to me, in the CSR's own words, using Piperlime's "slowest shipping method" available. REALLY??
I was given a 15% coupon by the CSR for this second screw up, as well as profuse apologies, but quite frankly, I was extremely underwhelmed by the quality of the shopping experience at this well-known online retailer. I finally got the boots I paid for almost three weeks after ordering them.
Will I buy from Piperlime again? Eh. The jury is out on that one.
