$45 plus shipping wasted on an unusable product

Beware of Dot to Dot mugs! Initial imprint appears on one side only, with handle on the left; opposite side is plain white. Right-handed drinkers will not have an initial facing them. I am surprised in today's competetive marketplace that Personalization Mall can afford to be unapologetically dismissive, insulting, and phony to a disgruntled customer. "Customer Service" said the mugs are designed to have the person opposite the drinker see the initial. First of all, my five intended recipients are elderly widows, they don't have a "person opposite." More importantly, the excuse is dishonest and bogus -- if you are a left-handed person, the initial will face you and the "person opposite" will see nothing but white! PM stonewalled me with excuse after excuse, and refused to refund my money because the website image "specifically shows that the letter is on one side and the handle is on the left side". Pray tell, how can one image show that the letter is on "one side" only? The images on the websites of West Elm, Pier One, and Anthropologie show an initial on one side of the mug, and the stores told me that the mugs all have a duplicate imprint on the opposite side. So, after the Dot to Dot mugs arrived unusable, I purchased new mugs (better quality for $3 less!), with two imprints, from another store and filed a complaint with PM. Most insulting of all -- after refusing my refund, PM's email message closes with: "We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you again in the near future."
