No Care for Customers or Their Orders
I was in search of an office chair, but after I had decided on the one I wanted, the office max in my city closed their doors for good and the next one was a good hour and half drive away, so I figured I would buy it from thier website. Yeah, it looked good on paper from the start, but we all know how that goes. Well I ordered it pretty easy, the standard put it in the cart checkout and everything, shipping was free. I got an email from them that said my order would be shipped out by the next day and I would have it by Tuesday. So when Tuesday rolls around and I don't have it, I call cusomter service and they don't know why I don't have it and as far as they were concerned, I had already gotten it. So I asked them where it was...and here is what gets me...they actually can't tell you where something is, they have to 'trace it', which takes 24-48 to do. I basically had to call them everyday for a week until it was delivered to me the next week Monday. Never once did they appoligize for the delay and I was told that I would have someone from officemax call me to ensure that I got the item, they never did this either. Also, never once was it mentioned on the site or while I was ordering the chair that it would be shipped frieght truck, which this could be an issue for some people. In the end, they had no control over when I was going to get my purchase or where it was. Nor did they show any concern for the trouble I was having. I will never buy anything from OfficeMax again because of this, they clearly showed me that they could not care any less about my order or getting my order to me. The entire thing was very sloppy in my opinion.
