Reading some of the reviews here about NM on-line service, I have to agree that it is questionable. I ordered a pair of Manolo's as a gift for my daughter. Later, I learned that during the second time she was wearing the shoes, she noticed that the sole was splitting from the insole of the sandal and took them off. The first pair I ordered of the same, looked like they had been worn and I returned those to get these defective Manolo's. I don't understand how I could receive two very expensive but defective shoes. It makes me wonder about their on-line products.

This was the WORSE online shopping experience I have ever had. I buy everything online - from detergent to furniture. I have never had a problem until I tried to buy an item on neimanmarcus.com. I ordered the item with 2 day delivery. Over 1 week later, 4 calls to their customer service line, and 2 calls to a supervisor (6 calls total) later, I still have not received my item. Each person I spoke with gave a different reason. 2 of them blamed FedEx and told me to take it up with them. It is obvious that neimanmarcus.com have not properly trained their call center staffers. Displacing blame is never a good thing. Upon further investigation, I found that the problem was not with FedEx but with neimanmarcus.com. No one apologized for the delay and no one offered to rectify the problem. A supervisor told me that they could re-ship the item but that I would be doubly charged!! One word: Unacceptable.

I ordered a Tod's bag on sale (original price around $1570). It came with no dust bag, no price tag, but with some white stains on its black lining and worn-out leather corners.

I talked to a customer service representative and asked if Neiman Marcus sends used items. She asked me to wait to talk to her manager and came back with an answer that (1) NM DOES send used items sometimes, (2) NM checks if items are in a good condition before shipped, (3) but clearly the item I ordered was overlooked.

UNUSED returned items can be sold but stores like NM should not sell USED ITEMS.

I have more to say regarding how ignorant she was about products NM carries and what she and her manager suggested to clean up the bag, but there is no space here. I will write a letter to their Customer Relations and see what they say.

AKA " Neiman Mark UPs - I saw a duvet cover for 750.00 here & then found it at Dillards for 324.00 I also saw a gorgous fur vest for 399.00 by Donna Karen then found it at Macy's for 149.00 ugh- well I dont enjoy paying more than I have to - this store is for people who enjoy paying the most for an items as they can ! they dont nickname this store Neiman Markups for nothing ! It has happend so much that I can not shop there in confindence.

I received a gift from NM from a friend. I returned the gift to their warehouse, as per their online instructions for returns. I called NM customer service a half-dozen times to inquire about the status of the return. No one was able to provide me with information despite the fact that I have the name of the person who received my registered package. NM customer service is worthless, their return policies Draconian. I never got a refund and my $150 gift must have ended in the pockets of a NM employee, without trace. I will never shop at that store again and am warning my friends about the store's business practices.

I have ordered several things from Neiman Marcus online, and I shop in the stores regularly. I have always received impeccable service. The only thing I find frustrating is that they don't accept Visa or Master Card in their stores, so I can't use my debit card. However, I have found their shipping time to be reasonable and the items well packaged. When I bought a set of 12 water goblets at the San Francisco store, they went out of their way to package them indivdualy and securely so I could carry them on the plane without any concerns. I love this store, because so many of their items are things you won't find anywhere else.

I would never shop at Neiman Marcus Online store again. I found a purse for my niece for graduation. I ordered the purse, they sent me a confirmation email. I then called because I wanted a box. They informed me the order had been cancelled because they didn't have it. I told them it still showed as available. If I had not called they never would have informed me the order was cancelled. After ordering the purse I order some polo shirts for my nephew and husband. I can't believe it, the same scenario happened. I would not ever take a chance and send a gift using this online store. I emailed their customer service concerning my experience and they never even had the courtesy to respond.

The best thing about the Neiman Marcus Online Store is that they readily take anything back and they have wonderful cosmetic specials. (In fact, you are far more likely to get any of their gifts-with-purchase on-line than you are in the store.)

The premium you pay for Neiman Marcus is worth it only when you know what you want. Many items at Neiman Marcus are far less expensive at other stores and they tend to overcharge for basic items.

That said, when you go to their gift area and purchase a gift by price, it will arrive on time, beautifully wrapped and should it have to be returned...the receipent will be treated well. About 10 days before the holidays Neiman Marcus ships at not charge and they will refund the difference if the item goes on sell right after you purchase it.

I just shopped the NM "Last Call" sale and purchased a pair of sandals, a pareo, and a handbag; all at least 50% off. Even though I did elect Second Day Air shipping, I received my order even more quickly (a day early!) and everything was packed very well with generous use of tissue paper. Everything I ordered was exactly as represented on the web site and the order was filled correctly. I would definitely order from NM again based on my experience.

I placed an online order with Neiman Marcus and the website stated if I selected standard delivery I would definitely receive my purchases before Christmas, but when I called to check on my order I am told it will not. What kind of service is this?! Absolutely horrible! I will never shop with Neiman Marcus again. I'll stick with Bergdorf Goodman and Saks.

First problem : I ordered sandals on line. 5 minutes later I realize I want to add sneakers to my order so I call Neiman Marcus online customer service. Neiman Marcus informs me that my online order did not exist so they advised me to order again on line. The next week, my first order arrived ( this is the order that Neiman claims did not exist when I called) and also my second order arrived. Now I have to pay for all the extra shipng charges to receive order and return order.


Second problem: Neiman Marcus tricked me into buying mens shoes instead of womens shoes.

I perform search on Neiman Marcus web site, typed "Cole Haan". Two pages of Cole Haan pocketbooks, high heels and sneakers appear. I place order for sneakers. When sneakers arrive they are mens size 9 instead of womens. When I call to complain, Neiman Marcus customer service has no apology or offer to pay for shipping of item that is THEIR mistake.

Nowhere does it state the gender of the shoes on Neiman Marcus web site, Nor on the confirmation page I printed out, nor on the sales order form.

I have to say that customer service at NM is horrible, I have only made purchases in their store twice. Last time I was in about a week ago and the associate got very snooty when I said I was going to be paying her in cash, (it was only a pair of jeans) and told me that I would be lucky if she could give me change, I was only getting $20 back. My first experience was just as bad. It's impossible to get anyone to help you at all unless you tell them you are going to buy something, and even then they are snobby, I highly recommend Nordstroms over NM. All of their associates are alway very friendly
