Terrible is not a strong enough word to describe the customer service at Neiman Marcus. I have been a loyal customer of Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Horchow for years now and I am so appalled with the ordeal that I just went through with them...
I had ordered a pair of Prada shoes from BergdorfGoodman.com and returned them because of a manufacturing defect. I would have been happy to have them swapped out for another pair of the same shoes, a refund or even just a credit. I got NOTHING. Neiman Marcus, the parent company, rejected my return claiming that the damage was due to wear and tear - mind you that I've only worn them twice. After months (yes, months!) of unreturned phone calls, I finally contacted Prada. The client services gentleman at Prada was so gracious and could not believe the ordeal I just went through with the Neiman Marcus group. Prada tried to contact them to investigate the situation and got no where. On the same day that I contacted Prada, they took immediate action and committed to repairing my shoes at no cost. They believe in their product 100% and were willing to handle the repair even though I had not directly purchased the shoes from them. That, ladies and gentleman, is customer service!
Needless to say, I will NEVER EVER shop at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Horchow or Cusp again - online or instore - and neither will my friends, family, business or personal acquaintances!
