After shopping at the Lowes on 529/Hwy 6 in Houston Tx yesterday, I was surprised at the excellent customer service. Not only was I asked if I needed assistance, the employees would actually walk me to the dept and check the product to be sure it was right for my purposes. If they had a better suggestion, it was volunteered. Not like the big box home improvement competitor at Eldridge/1960-where employees would cluster in social gatherings and merely point to an aisle, which may or may not have been correct. And that was only if you could get their attention. Lowes may be a little further in driving distance, but I'll choose them anytime!

We use Lowes online service for our home fix up projects. The website allows us to shop at home, pay online and by entering our zip code we can pick up our order at our local Lowes, usually on the same day. This service saves us time and lets us run other errands on the scheduled pick up day. If something we order is not in stock at the store, the website will usually inform us of this during the order process. There have been times when inventory was incorrect and we would end up with a shortage. That is upsetting when ordering multiples because it slows down the completion of a project.
Lowes.com is easy to use and I like the store pick up option. We have used the ship to home option, but only on items that specified the item was available through the online store only. Though we have not had problems with deliveries or damaged items using the ship to home option, we have had a few items delayed due to backorders.
All in all, we are satisfied with our shopping experiences using Lowes.com.

I recently bought a product at Lowe's that came with a $10 rebate from the store. I couldn't believe it when I got a check from Lowe's only 2 WEEKS later!
Most of you know how slow rebates can be. Further, some rebate processors look for a lame reason to disqualify your rebate request. Once, I received a post card with my name and address on it stating that my rebate request was denied because I didn't submit my name and address (duh! it was mailed to me)!
It is refreshing to have a pleasant and super fast rebate response. In addition, my overall shopping experience was above average.

As a professional contractor I went to Lowe's.com to find, purchase and delivery for plywood, drywall and material in under a day. After a bit of tooling around the site I was able to get what I need and found out I can have the material delivered site specific. The delivery came a little late in the morning but I received 85% of my material whereas the other 15% had to be shipped from another store outside of my area. Lowes.com had a useful page called Lowe's For Pros and had all these articles and forms I can use for my contracting business. I called Lowe's afterwards to follow up and they wanted to know if there was anything else I needed. I've had my experience with Home Depot and found Lowe's to be more personable and more willing to provide personal service.

Easy, friendly people, clean place, glad to know that the warranty for the washer is handled through Lowes and that they will replace if need be, as I'm sure others would do but by that time, it will be thier problem and not mine.

Lowe's is a better then average home improvement store
There is always plenty of parking and carts are always available except Saturday afternoon and I avoid the place then anyway because of the crowds.
The selection is excelent and everyone is friendly and don't run when they see you coming like they do in Home Depot and other stores.

The salesperson in the AC dept didnt know SQUAT (nothing) ABOUT AC's.. I didnt need to ask anything because I researched all I needed to know and more. Actually, he was giving wrong info to a customer who was inquiring about an AC.. I stepped up to the plate and the customer wound up THANKING ME!!!!!!!!!! ..lol... lowes is a store where you have to help yourself. The few salesKIDS I ran into didnt know much and werent helpful at all ( esp in the paints and AC dept).. other than that...you have to help yourself and know before going into the store.. I would go there again because they have a big selection of things..

LOWES Extended protection plan is a roll of the dice. They will allow anyone (they have no idea who they are or of what quality they provide) to "complete" your repair which you will need. My fridge has sat for a month without being serviced. I've tried and tried to get them to do someting about it but they are okay with allowing a fraudulent tech to claim he fixed the item 2 weeks ago (he's never set foot in my house as of yet). They will take your money and will say that the protection plan gives you piece of mind but what they won't do is step up to the task of defending you when their program goes wrong so be very aware. When it is time for them to back the product they sold to you or the people they employ to repair it that requires more effort than they care to give then you are simply out of luck.

I bought an expensive Bosch dishwasher and an expensive extended warrranty. A small part has fallen out of the dishwasher (holds the top spray arm in) and it can't be used. Bosch won't help. Lowe's won't help. Extended warranty puts off saying they need to send out a technician. I can see what is needed. Just send it to me!!! This has been going on for two weeks. If I don't get satisfaction tomorrow, I will order the part elsewhere. SKIP EXTENDED WARRANTIES!

I beleived Lowe's reputation in the market and realized how big mistake it is. I did online order for washing machine with home delivery. It's an special order and website says it takes 8-11 days to receive in local store. I called customer service twice before I called on 18th day of my order with Lowes. Customer service said I should be receiving a call from store manager as they could not find any progress on this order. I did receive the call from a local store to hear that they lost my order somehow and it may take another 10-15 days. What a waste of time and phone calls. I had to cancel the order. No washing machine !!! same old cloths!!! Thanks to Lowes.
