Attention Lowe's: they call me "Customer" at the "OTHER" store

57% PRICE INCREASE IN 10 DAYS!!! Are you kidding me!?! So I found the outdoor storage shed online at lowes.com for 253.01 on 08/23/09 and the site said it would be in the store on or before 09/02/09....10 days, folks. So I decided to wait till it arrived at the store to get it. Really, what's 10 days? Let me tell you. So I called the store to see if they had the product in stock and they said no, but that I could special order it. No problem, I was out the door and on my way. So after waiting 25 minutes just for the sales person (I know he was busy, but is he the only one that can use a computer and place an order in the whole store?) I guess so, because another guy came over and said I had to wait for the first guy.
So then he goes to place the order and realizes the price is now at $397 and some change and has to get an override...well 5 minutes..no one shows up to help...10 minutes later and after multiple pages and no one calling him back he calls the store manager...who shows up to "assist" 15 minutes later.
45 minutes into this...the store manager looks up the product online and says it's $397 (and some change)...AND HERE I AM HOLDING MY PRINT OUT OF THE PRODUCT FROM 10 DAYS AGO AT $253...and she begins this condesending well it says on here it's $397 is this from the lowes website (the sales guy actually said yes its our URL onthe bottom of the page)...so we go back and forth...she says maybe it was on sale that day...I said I looked at it for a couple of days and finally printed it out on 08/23/09...she says $397 and is looking at me like I made up this print out...I said no it's wasn't on sale, there is nothing on here that says sale....she says $397.....I question how it's possible that for a price to jump $150 in 10 DAYS...she says she can call corporate...I get her District Manager's name, and I will call corporate tomorrow...at this point I AM JUST BAFFLED AND MAD!!!
So here Lowes has increased the price $144 in 10 DAYS!!! How is that even possible!?!
Now I'm not usually an emotional person, but....at this point the tears started falling....feeling like I'm being taken advantage of, a liar, that I made this print out up, that I'm being ripped off (when I haven't even bought it yet)
SERIOUSLY!?! IF YOU ARE GOING TO MARK UP PRICES 57% IN 10 DAYS...PUT A FOOTNOTE ON YOUR WEBSITE!!!

**And what we mean by that is.....A DRASTIC INCREASE IN PRICE IN A FEEBLE ATTEMPT TO KEEP OUR JOBS.
Overheard on the PA: Attention to the one customer that still shops here: "Thank you, from (insert any name here) the only person that works here.

On a final note, I know some of you are thinking "why didn't you just order it online on 08/23/09...
The simple answer: it was only 10 days...I'll just wait till it gets to the store and just go pick it up.
THE WE'LL SEE........
So after the tear fest calmed down, I explained my feelings to the store manager standing there....and she said when the product comes in stock she will honor the price, but she can not validate the markdown on the special order. The website now says the store will have it on or before September 12th....10 MORE DAYS!!! But the store has nothing showing that it is even coming in their inventory....HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.........
10 MORE DAYS....WHAT WILL THE PRICE BE THEN FOR THE REST OF YOU "CUSTOMERS?"
